Pat Neshek Could Be Back After One More Rehab Outing
6 years agoThe day after making his second rehab appearance, this time for Double-A Reading, Philadelphia Phillies veteran reliever Pat Neshek (forearm, shoulder) is poised for a return at the beginning of July. The 37-year-old is set to make one more rehab appearance on Friday and could be activated soon thereafter. Neshek, who was with the Phillies last season before being traded to Colorado before the trade deadline, signed back with the club this past offseason. He hasn’t been able to make an appearance with the club this season, however, as injuries to his shoulder and forearm have stunted his recovery. Neshek figures to be a stabilizing force in the hectic Phillies bullpen, which currently ranks 20th in ERA with a 4.18 mark.
