Pat Neshek Bounces Back, Earns Save
6 years agoAppearing in a game just hours after allowing a run en route to a cataclysmic defeat, Philadelphia Phillies reliever Pat Neshek stepped into Thursday’s game in the ninth inning. His club held a two-run lead following eight brilliant innings from Aaron Nola and Neshek would lock up the win by recording his fourth save of the season, striking out one en route to a perfect inning. Neshek continues to step up as the club’s secondary closer on days in which Seranthony Dominguez is unable to go. Even after his aforementioned part in Wednesday’s meltdown, he remains a steady veteran in the bullpen.
