Parris Campbell’s Low Target Count Won’t Help His Production
2 years agoThe targets for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell continue to be low. He was targeted just five times in their Week 16 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, leading to 19 receiving yards. He had 13 yards on three targets in Week 15 versus the Minnesota Vikings. Campbell has responded well with increased targets, like his 76-yard performance in Week 10 against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he caught seven passes on nine targets. An uptick in his numbers is possible, considering that they will encounter the New York Giants in Week 17. The Giants have allowed 220.5 passing yards per game and are tied for the fewest interceptions with four. Despite these numbers, Campbell has been an underutilized asset in the Colts offense. Look for better options at wide receiver, even if he is available.

Parris Campbell Added To Active Roster
2 months agoThe Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Parris Campbell from their practice squad to the active 53-man roster on Tuesday. In additional moves, the team signed linebacker Nick Morrow and wide receiver Elijah Cooks to their practice squad, released wide receiver Joseph Ngata from the practice squad and placed linebacker Nakobe Dean (knee) on Injured Reserve. Campbell will merely serve as receiver depth for the team's upcoming Divisional Round game on Sunday versus the visiting Los Angeles Rams and won't be on the fantasy radar at all behind the likes of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson and rookie Johnny Wilson. The 27-year-old former Indianapolis Colts wideout has only played in five games this year in his first year in Philly and has caught six of his eight targets for 30 yards and one touchdown.

Parris Campbell Waived By Eagles
3 months agoThe Philadelphia Eagles waived wide receiver Parris Campbell on Monday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The 27-year-old has appeared in five games this season, catching six of his eight targets for 30 yards and one touchdown. The former Colt and Giant will now be subject to waivers. If he clears waivers, he could end up on the Eagles' practice squad. It's possible that the Eagles' decision to waive Campbell means that DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is trending toward playing against the Carolina Panthers in Week 14.

Eagles Elevate Parris Campbell Ahead Of Sunday's Game
4 months agoThe Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Parris Campbell to the active roster heading into Sunday's matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. The 27-year-old has appeared in only four games this season, amassing six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown. Production like that won't earn him a place in most fantasy lineups. However, Campbell's elevation could mean DeVonta Smith (hamstring) may not be available. If that's the case, Campbell's fantasy stock could increase, although not by much. Instead, Smith's absence should mean more targets for A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert, and Saquon Barkley.

Eagles Letting Go Of Parris Campbell
5 months agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are releasing wide receiver Parris Campbell on Tuesday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The 27-year-old signed a one-year deal this offseason to join the organization, but his time in Philly ends after just four contests. He caught just six passes for 30 yards and a touchdown through Week 7. The Eagles' wide receiver room is headlined by A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and the team traded for Jahan Dotson just before the start of the 2024 campaign. Wide receivers Britain Covey (shoulder) and Ainias Smith (ankle) could be activated from Injured Reserve soon, but neither is on the fantasy football radar unless Brown, Smith, or both get banged up.
