Parker Porter Turns It On Late To Earn The Decision
3 years agoAfter a slow start in the striking exchange, Parker Porter was able to pick up the pace and outstrike fellow heavyweight Chase Sherman to pick up a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) on Saturday. Statistically, Porter was able to rack up 149 significant strikes (159 total strikes) in 15 minutes of action. Porter tried to utilize a takedown game but was only able to land one of his eight tries on the night. With the win, Porter improves to 2-1 in the UFC, winning his last two outings. Porter is a heavy handed slugger who is always looking for the knockout. He makes for a fantasy friendly fighter if he is rostered against a fighter with inferior knockout abilities.
