Parker Meadows Dealing With Upper-Arm Inflammation
15 seconds agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Parker Meadows (arm) complained of right upper-arm inflammation during his last Grapefruit League game on Saturday and is currently being treated daily and will be re-evaluated for baseball activities later this week. Meadows should be considered day-to-day, and he could get back into spring training games early next week if he resumes baseball activities this weekend. It was a first half to forget last year for the 25-year-old after he was sent to the minors and then missed a month with a hamstring strain. He was very productive down the stretch, though, and should open the 2025 season as the Tigers' starting center fielder. The former second-round pick in 2018 had a .244/.310/.433 slash line with nine homers, 28 RBI and nine steals in 82 games in 2024 and is ranked just inside the top-50 fantasy outfielders at RotoBaller.
