1 month agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (groin) came off the Packers' final injury report after turning in three limited practices and is good to go as Green Bay takes on the Houston Texans in Week 7. After two consecutive overall TE1 performances in Weeks 4-5, Kraft came back down to earth with just two receptions for 13 yards in the Packers' win over the Cardinals. Kraft's down game had to do with the returning options back for the Packers, as Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson both came back to combine for three touchdowns. With so many weapons in tow for the Packers, Kraft's floor may be a bit lower than we'd like, but those two weeks where he was overall TE1 show the potential when he is targeted. Because of how shallow tight end is in fantasy, Kraft is a low-end TE1 against the Texans this week.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (ankle) turned in three limited practice sessions this week and was removed from the Packers' injury report for Week 7 as Green Bay hosts the Houston Texans. Reed has been a volatile fantasy option but has turned in 5-of-6 games with double-digit fantasy points, including an overall WR1 and WR2 finish. Big plays are Reed's specialty, but he's mixed in some target earning as well with at least six targets in 5-of-6 games this season. Reed has been used deep and at the line of scrimmage, as evidence by his average depth of target (aDOT) in Week 5 (12.7 yards) and his aDOT from Week 6 (-1.8 yards) where he was used more as a short-area target. No matter how he's used, Reed has been incredibly productive this season and will be a key piece of the puzzle when the Packers battle the Texans. Consider Reed a low-end fantasy WR1 with overall WR1 upside in this Week 7 clash.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been solid, yet unspectacular this season. He will get another opportunity to get into the scoring column as the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Jacobs has gotten the lion's share of opportunity as the top rusher in Green Bay but has parlayed that into just one top-12 fantasy week in six games. He's been a high-floor, low-ceiling option at running back and has just one touchdown to his credit in Week 5 against the Rams. With both offenses stacked with options, it could be the running backs, namely Jacobs, that turn the tide and become the difference as the Texans have allowed the fourth-most yards after contact per attempt and Jacobs has been solid (29th of 61 qualified backs) in that regard. Look for Jacobs to be on that low-end RB/high-end RB2 line in Week 7 for fantasy purposes.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love looks to keep his strong run of fantasy production going as the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Since returning to the Packers' lineup in Week 5, Love has had two QB3-or-better performances under his belt and has tossed multiple touchdown passes in every game he's played this season. With the Texans being a bit of a pass-funnel defense, Love should have plenty of time to connect with his pass-catching weapons and get some volume as well. With both offenses having the potential for plenty of passing, Love should be considered among the top handful of fantasy options at the position heading into Week 7.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Wicks left last weekend's game early with a shoulder injury but was able to log three consecutive limited practice sessions this week, which is a positive sign for his status. Nonetheless, fantasy managers should continue to monitor their status throughout the weekend. If Wicks can play, he should be viewed as a flex option, as he will face heavy competition for targets in a deep Green Bay receiving room. However, facing the Houston Texans, who have allowed the 17th-most points to opposing wideouts, could provide Wicks some upside, especially if the game is high scoring as the 48 O/U point total suggests.Source: Green Bay Packers
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (groin) was listed as a limited practice participant for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Kraft dealt with a groin injury during practice last week but managed to suit up for the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals while playing 81% of the offensive snaps. The 23-year-old disappointed fantasy managers looking for a second straight big performance, as he caught just two of his four targets for a season-low 13 yards. Kraft scored three total touchdowns the previous two games, but this is a reminder that he's a volatile low-end TE1 for fantasy managers in an offense with a lot of mouths to feed through the air as long as Jayden Reed, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks are all healthy. Barring a setback, Kraft should be active this Sunday against the Houston Texans.Source: SI.com - Bill Huber
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receivers Jayden Reed (ankle), Christian Watson (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) were all limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Reed and Wicks suffered injuries in the Week 6 win over the Arizona Cardinals, while Watson returned last Sunday after missing one game due to an ankle sprain. The fact that all three are practicing this week is a good sign that they'll be available this weekend against the Houston Texans. Of the trio of wideouts, Reed is the best fantasy option and enters Week 7 action as the WR3 in half-PPR scoring with 27 catches for 442 yards and three TDs while adding 110 rushing yards and an additional score. Assuming all three play against Houston, Reed will be a must-start in fantasy, while Watson and Wicks are more of boom/bust WR4/flex options.Source: SI.com - Bill Huber

1 month agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (groin) was listed as limited in the team's first practice of the week. Kraft popped up on Green Bay's injury report last Thursday with a groin injury, logging two limited sessions before suiting up for the Packers' Week 6 win over the Cardinals. The 23-year-old played a full complement of snaps (82%), though he disappointed with his performance, catching 2-of-4 targets for just 13 yards -- a season-low output -- as is the case sometimes in a deep Rolodex of competent Packers' skill players. However, his designation for the following two practices will be telling about his status ahead of Week 7's home tilt against the Houston Texans. If Kraft plays, he could be in store for a busy day with a litany of Packers' wideouts dinged up this week. If he can't, tight end Ben Sims would likely handle most of the TE duties with Luke Musgrave (ankle) on injured reserve.Source: Ryan Wood
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) is not practicing yet despite being eligible to return to practice while on Injured Reserve on Wednesday. "I think he's getting closer," head coach Matt LaFleur said. When asked if Lloyd would return to practice next week, LaFleur said, "We'll see." Lloyd made his NFL debut in the Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts and carried the ball six times for 15 yards while catching his only target for a three-yard gain. He's been on IR ever since. The 23-year-old has battle multiple injuries early in his NFL career, but he still has the potential to become the direct backup to Josh Jacobs in Green Bay before the end of the year. With a return date up in the air, Lloyd is only worth stashing for now in really deep-mixed and dynasty/keeper leagues.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
1 month agoThe Green Bay Packers signed former Jacksonville Jaguars veteran kicker Brandon McManus to a one-year deal on Tuesday, according to a source. McManus is expected to be kicking for the team right away in Week 7 this Sunday versus the Houston Texans at Lambeau Field. It's been a revolving door at kicker in Green Bay for the last several seasons. Rookie Anders Carlson was wildly inconsistent last year before Brayden Narveson missed five of his 17 field-goal tries in six games this year. The Packers will be hoping the 33-year-old McManus can bring some stability to the position. In his 10 years in the NFL (nine with the Denver Broncos), McManus has made 81.4% of his field-goal attempts. In 17 games last year for Jacksonville, he went 30-for-37 on field goals and 35-for-35 on extra points. He could quickly return to the fantasy radar with the Packers.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
1 month agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs returned to form with a two-touchdown performance following a team-imposed suspension. He says he is back to his "regular self." He was suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team after missing two practice days and not communicating about his absence. Although Doubs didn't start the game and wasn't targeted during the first two series, he made an impact when called upon, catching three passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns. These marks were significant as they represented his first touchdowns of the season after going scoreless in the four games leading up to his suspension. Doubs aims to maintain this momentum heading into a crucial matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 7, making him a player to watch for fantasy managers hoping he can replicate his impressive return.Source: Around The NFL @AroundTheNFL

1 month agoThe Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams unit was excellent for the majority of the afternoon as the Packers were victorious over the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. For the first time this season, the Packers did not record an interception or a sack in a game, but they forced three fumbles and recovered each of them. The Packers held the Cardinals to just 303 total yards and held most of the Cardinals' weapons in check. If you play in fantasy leagues that remove points for points allowed, the Packers gave up just 13 points. Coupled with the fumble recoveries, the Packers' effort should be solid for fantasy managers. Green Bay will host the Houston Texans in Week 7, where despite the Texans' offensive prowess, the Packers will be a low-end startable defense and special teams' unit.Source: ESPN
