3 days agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) is regarded as questionable for Thursday's tilt against the Washington Wizards. An issue with his left knee might keep Vincent on the sidelines for a third consecutive game. Shake Milton and Bronny James Jr. get more of a look in the rotation with Vincent missing, but they don't provide anything to fantasy managers. Following his good spell in Brooklyn, Milton has averaged only 8.9 minutes since moving to L.A. James Jr. logged 15 minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday but is shooting 6.3 percent for his debut season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) is expected to be in the lineup on Thursday against the Washington Wizards, as the team lists him as probable on the injury report. Hachimura recently missed a pair of games with a calf issue, but he was back in action on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Japanese forward contributed 13 points and grabbed two rebounds in 24 minutes. We could see Hachimura much more involved in the offense on Thursday night, as the Lakers have lost Anthony Davis (abdomen) and may also be without LeBron James (foot), who is considered questionable for the contest.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (ankle) is considered questionable for Thursday's action against the Orlando Magic. He injured his right ankle on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks and is dealing with soreness in the ankle. Grant, who entered this season having averaged 20.8 points over the previous four campaigns, has been a huge disappointment in 2024-25. His scoring output has dropped to 14.5 points as the 30-year-old has made only 38.1 percent of his shots. Toumani Camara, who logged 40 minutes on Tuesday, appears poised to take on a significant workload again if Grant is still sidelined. At the same time, Shaedon Sharpe will likely step in as his replacement in the starting lineup.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAtlanta Hawks guard/forward Bogdan Bogdanovic (personal) will miss a third straight game on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He remains away from the team for personal reasons. Bogdanovic's absence elevates the fantasy value of Garrison Mathews and Vit Krejci, who has been starting recently. Krejci's performances tend to be inconsistent, but he has averaged some solid numbers this month with 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals. Mathews provides much less but can heat up from three-point range.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAtlanta Hawks center Clint Capela (back) has been ruled out for a second consecutive game as the team gears up to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. Due to back spasms, Capela was a late scratch for Tuesday's contest against the Houston Rockets, and he hasn't recovered in time for Thursday's game. Larry Nance Jr. returned to the rotation on Tuesday, posting six points with a pair of rebounds and steals in 20 minutes off the bench. Mouhamed Gueye, who started at power forward against the Rockets, will also help cover some of the minutes at the five position behind starting center Onyeka Okongwu.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAtlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher (groin) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's contest against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He missed Tuesday's game against the Houston Rockets. However, this was the second leg of a back-to-back, so the team was simply cautious with Risacher, who only recently returned from a six-game absence. With Jalen Johnson (shoulder) done for the season, we might see Risacher much more for the rest of the way. He has averaged only 23.7 minutes for his rookie campaign. The young Frenchman has struggled with his shooting, notching 10.5 points with 3.6 rebounds.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (hamstring) is labeled as probable for Thursday's clash against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Atlanta's star guard has battled through injuries for most of the campaign and is currently experiencing tightness in his right hamstring. However, the probable tag suggests that Young will likely be good to go for Thursday's game. Young has a massive role to play for the playoff-chasing Hawks after Jalen Johnson (shoulder) was ruled out for the rest of the season. One of Young's three 20-20 games came against Cleveland on Nov. 27, and he has averaged 20.5 points and 16.5 assists in the matchup this season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoOrlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. He could be out for a second straight game due to a left quadriceps contusion. On Monday against the Miami Heat, Anthony Black filled in for Suggs in the starting lineup and played a huge role. He logged 42 minutes of action in a 125-119 double-overtime loss, notching 14 points, three assists, and a career-high five steals. If Suggs remains out on Thursday, Black should enjoy further success against a team that allows the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards, including a league-high 2.71 steals per game.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) is questionable for Thursday's meeting with the Washington Wizards. James typically carries a probable tag due to left foot injury management but has landed on the injury report as questionable this time. This means the Lakers could be without both of their leaders, as Anthony Davis (abdomen) has been ruled out for at least a week. However, James has missed just three contests all season and logged 35 minutes last Saturday against the Golden State Warriors despite being questionable for the matchup, so there should still be a decent chance he plays on Thursday. If he ends up sitting out, Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddish may be more involved in the rotation than usual.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoHouston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (calf) is questionable for Thursday's game in Memphis. Sengun is coming off another productive outing, amassing an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double in Tuesday's win over the Atlanta Hawks. But he's now in danger of missing Thursday's contest, which would be his first absence of the 2024-25 campaign. With Steven Adams (ankle) also carrying a questionable designation, Jock Landale might end up entering the starting lineup. The 29-year-old has averaged just 3.1 points and 2.8 rebounds this season. Yet, Landale should have no problem surpassing those numbers if he starts, especially against a Grizzlies club that has allowed 115.6 points per game in 2024-25.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoUtah Jazz center Walker Kessler (shoulder) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The big man is in danger of missing a third straight game due to a left shoulder contusion. The Jazz have been shorthanded over the last few games with John Collins (illness) also sidelined. That means, Drew Eubanks, Kyle Filipowski, and Brice Sensabaugh have all been asked to play bigger roles in the rotation. That might happen again with Kessler and Collins both listed as questionable. If they sit, Sensabaugh probably has the highest ceiling but all three could make for low-end streaming options.Source: Utah Jazz
3 days agoUtah Jazz forward John Collins (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Collins has missed the last three games and actually has only played in two games since the beginning of the month. That being said, fantasy managers shouldn't be shocked if Collins misses another game. The Jazz have been using a committee approach to help fill the void while Collins is out. That means, Drew Eubanks, Kyle Filipowski, and Brice Sensabaugh should all see increased roles if Collins misses another game. Out of the trio, Sensabaugh offers the most streaming appeal right now.Source: Utah Jazz
3 days agoUtah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Clarkson missed 10 straight games before returning to the court on Monday. Unsurprisingly, Clarkson sat out on Tuesday for rest purposes, but is expected to be back in the mix on Thursday. The assumption is that the Jazz are going to continue having Clarkson on a minutes limit while he works his way back up to full speed. He played 21 minutes on Monday, so fantasy managers should expect him to have a similar workload once again on Thursday.Source: Utah Jazz
3 days agoUtah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Markkanen sat out on Tuesday, but it sounds like that was a planned absence for injury maintenance. The 27-year-old recently returned from injury and it looks like the Jazz wanted to give him some time to rest following Monday's contest. Fantasy managers should expect Markkanen to have his normal workload on Thursday. Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski should see reduced roles with Markkanen back in the mix on Thursday.Source: Utah Jazz
4 days agoGolden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) has been upgraded to available ahead of Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. As expected, Curry will make his way back into the starting lineup after sitting out on Tuesday. His absence on Tuesday seemed more for rest purposes against a weaker opponent in the Utah Jazz. The assumption is that Curry is going to have his regular role in the rotation during Wednesday's game. That being said, Dennis Schroder should probably see a reduced role in the rotation after playing 33 minutes on Tuesday. Schroder looked good during that game, but his streaming value should take a hit with Curry back in the mix.Source: Anthony Slater
