1 month agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. He initially exited midway through the second quarter and did not return. The standout rookie finishes Week 6 with zero catches on two targets. This is a crushing blow for managers who have inserted the No. 4 overall pick as a WR1 or WR2 in fantasy football this year. Not only is he done for this week, but he'll face an uphill battle to clear concussion protocol and be eligible to play in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Look for the Cardinals' passing attack to run through Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch until Harrison can return.Source: Tom Pelissero
1 month agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (head) suffered a head injury in the second quarter when he went head-first into the defender's leg while being tackled. He left the game to be evaluated for a concussion and is currently questionable to return. The rookie only saw two targets before leaving the game. Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, and Zach Pascal will take over as the top three receivers unless Harrison is able to come back into the game against the Green Bay Packers. His status will be something to monitor if it is confirmed to be a concussion since he could miss Week 7's game.Source: Arizona Cardinals
1 month agoArizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater (knee) is officially inactive for Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Prater came into this one unlikely to play despite putting in limited practices this week, but now it's official that he won't kick for the Cards. Arizona added Chad Ryland to the active 53-man roster on Saturday, and he will serve as the team's kicker against the Packers. Prater's next chance to suit up for the Cardinals will come during a Week 7 Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. Ryland, 24, will make his second straight start for the Cardinals after Prater also missed the Week 6 win over the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. Ryland made three of his four field-goal tries last week and was successful on his only extra-point attempt. At best, he'll be a deep-league streaming option against Green Bay.Source: Arizona Cardinals
1 month agoArizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater (knee) is expected to be inactive for Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. If confirmed, it will be the veteran kicker's second consecutive absence. He had been perfect through four games, converting all 10 of his extra point attempts and all six of his field goal tries. The Cardinals have once again elevated Chad Ryland to kick in Prater's place. In his season debut last week, Ryland went 3-for-4 on field goals and also made his lone extra point attempt.Source: Ian Rapoport
1 month agoThe Arizona Cardinals elevated kicker Chad Ryland from the practice squad heading into the Week 6 meeting with the Packers. With Matt Prater (knee) questionable, the team may look to Ryland to handle the kicking duties. He looked good in Week 5 against the 49ers, making three of his four field goal attempts, one of which secured the win for the Cardinals. However, with rain and wind in the forecast in Green Bay, fantasy managers in need of a kicker may want to look elsewhere.Source: Adam Schefter
1 month agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch is unlikely to be a waiver wire streamer in Week 6. The Cardinals travel to Green Bay to face the Packers in a rainy, windy game that may negatively impact the passing game. Dortch is still finding his role in the Cardinals' passing attack, and his utilization has not been high despite his snap count. He has just 16 catches for 138 yards this season, and his workload doesn't appear to be increasing. Dortch is rostered in only 2% of leagues, and it's probably best for it to stay that way in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. Prater was kept sidelined during last weekend's game with a knee injury. However, he was able to log three consecutive limited practice sessions this week which is a promising sign for his status as he was only able to log one heading into Week 5. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status ahead of kickoff. If Prater is able to suit he should be started in all formats given his offensive situation. If Prater is unable to play, Chad Ryland will likely be activated from the practice squad and is a worth a look as a deep league streamer.Source: Josh Weinfuss
1 month agoThe Arizona Cardinals defense would be a risky play in Week 6 when the Cards travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. The Cardinals' defense has exceeded expectations, given the talent level on that side of the ball this season. After a brutal week against the Washington Commanders, the Cardinals responded with a statement performance on the road against the 49ers, holding them scoreless in the second half. The Cardinals also recorded two interceptions, forced a fumble, and made two sacks to cap off their impressive performance. A tough road matchup against the Packers may not be the ideal spot for managers to play the Cardinals' defense, but they are an interesting streaming option when their schedule lightens up in November.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson is a fringe flex or streaming option in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. Wilson has started to carve out his role in the Cardinals' passing game, having caught five of six targets for 78 yards in the Week 5 win over the 49ers. The Cardinals will travel to Green Bay to play the Packers in a rainy NFC conference battle, which presents an advantageous matchup for Wilson. The Packers' defensive backs are shorter and do not play very physically. Wilson, on the other hand, is a big, physical receiver who uses his 6'3", 215-pound frame to his advantage. While the rain and wind could pose challenges for the passing game, slightly diminishing Wilson's value, fantasy managers in need could consider him a streaming flex option in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is due for a bounce-back performance after a down fantasy week in last Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Cardinals travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers this week. The Packers' secondary has been an issue for their defense all year. It will have its hands full with Harrison Jr. Not only will the Cardinals rookie wideout have the skill advantage, but he will also have a noticeable size advantage over the shorter Packers cornerbacks. Despite the weather report calling for rain, the Cardinals should still look to get Harrison Jr. involved. Even with last week's disappointing outing, he still received seven targets, proving the team is committed to getting him the ball. Harrison Jr. remains a starter in Week 6 and is WR13 in the latest RotoBaller rankings.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is back and fully healthy after missing time due to a concussion. He was active in last Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers despite popping up on the late injury report with injured ribs. In Week 5, McBride recorded six catches for 53 yards in his return during the win over the 49ers. The Cardinals will travel to Green Bay this Sunday, which should be a favorable matchup for McBride. The Packers' defense ranks 24th in points allowed to tight ends this season. McBride is second on the team in targets, trailing only Marvin Harrison Jr., despite missing one game. With rain in the forecast, the Cardinals may adopt more of a short passing scheme, where McBride has thrived, frequently catching check-downs near the middle of the field as Kyler Murray's security blanket. With McBride's high target share and favorable matchup, he is primed to be a top-3 tight end in fantasy football for Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner is a must-start and is valued as a low-end RB1 as the team travels to Green Bay to take on the Packers. Conner is coming off of an impressive outing where he totaled 100 yards from scrimmage to help the Cardinals win. Since joining the Cardinals, Conner has been a road warrior, averaging 87 yards from scrimmage in road games. The forecast is quickly changing, and it is currently calling for a windy, rainy outing for part of the game, which could cause the Cardinals to lean on their star running back while they adjust to the elements. The Packers' defense ranks middle of the road against opposing running backs, allowing the 17th most fantasy points to the position. With Conner's increased likelihood of another high-volume week, fantasy managers should confidently start him in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
1 month agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray remains a must-start for fantasy managers after an important bounce-back performance against the 49ers. In Week 6, the Cardinals travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. There is currently rain and wind in the forecast for the game, which could complicate moving the ball through the air. However, that's not always a concern for Murray; if the Cardinals shift to a run-first approach, it will open up their zone-read game, which was effective last week. Murray rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown in the win over the 49ers. While the weather may cause Murray to be more of a low-end QB1, his rushing upside continues to make him a fantasy starter.Source: RotoBaller

1 month agoThe Arizona Cardinals released wide receiver Chris Moore on Wednesday, according to NFL.com. This move comes after veteran wideout Zay Jones was reinstated from his five-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. Moore entered the NFL in 2016 with the Baltimore Ravens and has played in games for the Ravens, Houston Texans, and Tennessee Titans. He did not earn a target or catch a pass for the Cardinals this season. Overall, the 31-year-old has caught 138 passes for 1,710 yards, and eight touchdowns in 106 career games. Another franchise might be interested in signing him, but it would be a surprise if he ends up on the fantasy football radar this season.Source: NFL.com
