11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss carried the ball 19 times for 51 yards in the team's 31-28 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 13. Despite the lackluster fantasy performance, Moss saw every single one of the team's carries as fellow running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) was unavailable. With Taylor (thumb) ruled out of their Week 14 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals, Moss is in line for another big workload in a slightly more favorable matchup. The Bengals have allowed the sixth most rushing yards per game this season with 133.9, and also have allowed the 15th most points to opposing fantasy running backs this season. With a decent matchup and a sizable workload, fantasy managers can look to include Moss as a solid RB2 option.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen has officially ruled out running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) from the Week 14 game this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Taylor had surgery on his right thumb last week and will now miss his second straight game after missing another full week of practice. Fantasy managers must keep the 24-year-old lead back stashed for now, but he's expected to miss anywhere from three to five weeks, so there remains a chance that he won't be available at all to teams as they try to win a fantasy title in 2023. In the meantime, Zack Moss will operate as Indy's lead back. He'll be a must-start RB1 for fantasy lineups this weekend in a great matchup against the Bengals.Source: 107.5 The Fan - Kevin Bowen
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) remains absent from practice on Thursday. Taylor had surgery on his right thumb last week and didn't play in the Week 13 overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans. He's expected to miss anywhere from three to five weeks with the injury, so it's no surprise he's still absent from team practices. Despite the possibility that Taylor won't be back to help fantasy managers that are advancing to the postseason, the 24-year-old deserves stashing as Indy's lead back when healthy. Zack Moss is an absolute must-start RB1 in fantasy lineups in Week 14 in a great matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals and their poor run defense.Source: 107.5 The Fan - Kevin Bowen
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) is still missing from practice on Wednesday. Taylor had thumb surgery on Nov. 29 and missed his first game in Week 13's overtime win over the Tennessee Titans. He's highly unlikely practice or play in Week 14 against the Bengals in Cincinnati this Sunday. The 24-year-old was given a three- to five-week timetable to return from his thumb injury. Fantasy managers should keep Taylor stashed, but he still might not be able to return in time to help you potentially make a run at that coveted fantasy title in 2023. In the meantime, Zack Moss will have RB2 upside in fantasy lineups as Indianapolis' lead back. Moss will have upside this week against a suspect Bengals run defense.Source: Indianapolis Colts
11 months agoWhen asked if it's safe to say that Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) will miss a second straight game in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals, head coach Shane Steichen said, "We'll see." Steichen also said he didn't have any updates on Taylor after he had surgery last week on a thumb injury he suffered in Week 12. The 24-year-old was given a three- to five-week timetable after surgery, so it's highly unlikely Taylor is even in consideration to play this Sunday. Taylor should still be stashed in fantasy leagues in case he recovers quicker than expected, but Zack Moss should be expected to once again carry the load in Indy's backfield in Week 14 against a Bengals defense that is vulnerable against the run.Source: The Athletic - James Boyd
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs caught three passes for 14 yards in the team's 31-28 overtime win over the Tennessee Titans. The rookie saw just five targets on the day and fell behind Alec Pierce (six targets, three catches for 100 yards) on the afternoon. Michael Pittman Jr. led the way in the Indianapolis receiving game once again. After looking like a weekly starter in the middle of the season, Downs has let managers down in four straight games, although in two of those he was limited due to a knee injury. He'll match up against a soft Cincinnati secondary in Week 14 but it's difficult to trust the rookie as anything more than a WR4 right now.Source: ESPN
11 months agoA surprise name coming out of Indy's 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans was Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce. Pierce caught three of his six targets for a whopping 100 yards and a touchdown. Pierce served as the big play threat for Indy, catching a 39-yard touchdown early in the game and then a 55-yard reception in overtime to help Indy seal the win. Pierce has largely been off the fantasy radar this season, as he has not had a game this year where he has eclipsed 60 yards before today. The second-year receiver could be an intriguing waiver wire pickup for this week, and likely only worth a start in deeper formats for their Week 14 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.Source: ESPN
11 months agoWith Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) out, it was running back Zack Moss who was asked to carry the load in the team's 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Moss carried the ball 19 times for 51 yards, reeling in two catches for an additional six yards through the air. Moss was primed for a big day given his track record of games where Taylor (thumb) doesn't play, but fantasy managers might be slightly underwhelmed with his performance today. The good news is that Moss saw every running back opportunity in the matchup, as backup running back Trey Sermon didn't see any touches. This a good sign for what's to come in the next few weeks in Taylor's (thumb) absence, and Moss should still be included in most lineups in Week 14 when the Colts face the Cincinnati Bengals.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a strong performance to lead the Colts to a 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Minshew completed 26 of his 42 attempts for 312 yards, throwing touchdowns to both wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce. Minshew took decent care of the ball, throwing no interceptions but he did lose one of his two fumbles on the day. Minshew remains primarily a streaming option, but the fifth-year man can be started in some lineups in Week 14 when the Colts square off against the Cincinnati BengalsSource: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. was a pivotal part of the Colts' 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Pittman reeled in 11 of his 16 targets for 105 yards and a walk-off touchdown in overtime to seal the game. Pittman led all pass-catchers in targets once again, solidifying his position as a potential WR1 for the rest of the fantasy season. Fantasy managers should look to include Pittman in lineups in Week 14 when the Colts square off against the Cincinnati Bengals.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) will likely miss three to five weeks after undergoing surgery, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The star playmaker had recently been diagnosed with a UCL tear in his right thumb, which was treated with an internal brace during his recent operation. Until he's able to return, Zack Moss will lead the Colts' backfield. Over his four games as the Colts' lead running back earlier this season, Moss was dominant, totaling 445 rushing yards, 74 receiving yards, and four touchdowns. For fantasy purposes, he instantly becomes a solid RB2 option.Source: Ian Rapoport
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a decent fantasy performance in the team's 27-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Minshew completed 24 of his 41 attempts for 251 yards and an interception, but the main catalyst behind his fantasy points came from his two-yard rushing touchdown. Minshew has only run the ball an average of two times in his nine starts this season, so it's not something fantasy managers will be able to bank on moving forward. In addition, he also has not thrown for a touchdown in his last two starts. He now faces a fairly weak Tennessee secondary, but the Titans have still made for an average matchup against fantasy quarterbacks allowing the 16th most points to the position. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues needing a spot-starter given bye weeks can look to start Minshew as a low-ceiling QB1. Aside from that, Minshew should only be started in QB2/Superflex leagues.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs put together a five-catch, 43-yard performance in the team's Week 12 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the decent outing, Downs saw a team-high in targets with 13, tied with fellow wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. Downs serves primarily as a YAC and deep threat for Indy, leading the receiving corps in plays of 20+ yards with eight total. He finds himself in a decent matchup against the Tennessee Titans, who are allowing the sixth most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Downs' big play ability makes him a boom-or-bust type of play, but this matchup should instill confidence in fantasy managers to play him as a WR3/Flex option in Week 13.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. has been a target machine this season, and that was on display in Week 12 when Pittman caught 10 of his 13 targets for 107 yards in the team's win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Pittman ranks in the top seven of all receivers in targets, averaging roughly 10 a game. He now finds himself in a favorable matchup in Week 13 against a Tennessee Titans pass defense that has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Fantasy managers can look to include Pittman as a WR1 option for this matchup.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss may see a significant uptick in opportunities in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans as fellow running back Jonathan Taylor (thumb) was ruled out of the contest. In three games this season without Taylor, Moss averaged 22 carries for roughly 94 yards, scoring touchdowns in two of those three games. He'll go up against a slightly above-average Titans run defense currently allowing 110.8 rushing yards per game. Tennessee's defense has also been stingy from a fantasy perspective, allowing the 13th least amount of points to opposing fantasy running backs this season. Despite the matchup, the opportunity share Moss is in line for makes him a solid RB2 option, with the hopes of putting together an RB1 performance.Source: NFL.com
