11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. is looking to close out a great regular season on a high note when the Colts face the Houston Texans on Saturday night. Pittman Jr. cooled off from a five-game stretch of 75+ yard outings when he caught five of his seven targets for 46 yards in Week 17. Houston has made for a decent matchup for wide receivers as of late, allowing the 11th most fantasy points to the position in their last four matchups. The former USC Trojan should be set up for success given the matchup and his ten targets per game average this season. Fantasy managers can rely on Pittman one last time as a potential WR1 option in Indy's win-and-in season finale.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs caught both of his targets for 53 yards in the team's Week 17 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. He now gets ready for a season finale against the Houston Texans on Saturday night, a team that's allowed the 11th most fantasy points to the position over their last four matchups. Downs hasn't been an incredibly consistent option as of late, as last week marked his first game with over 50 total yards since Week 8. Houston has done a good job of defending the slot, allowing the 10th least fantasy points to slot receivers, where Downs plays over 75% of his snaps. With all that in mind, the former Tar Heel makes for a boom-or-bust WR4 option in Week 18 with his big play ability.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss (forearm) is officially listed as questionable to play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the division-rival Houston Texans on Saturday evening. Moss was able to put in full practices on Wednesday and Thursday and is on the right side of questionable this week after missing the last two games. Jonathan Taylor is going to remain Indy's primary backfield option in a must-win game on Saturday, but the 26-year-old Moss will return to offer a change-of-pace option for the Colts. Moss had a nice run earlier this year with Taylor still out and managed two 100-yard performances in a three-week span, but he was pretty poor in his last three starts before getting injured, averaging 2.56 yards on 36 carries for 92 rushing yards while adding nine receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown through the air from Weeks 13-15.Source: The Athletic - James Boyd
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss (forearm) practiced fully on Wednesday as his team prepares to take on the Houston Texans on Saturday. Moss has missed the past two games with a forearm injury but he appears to be on track to return to action this weekend. That being said, Jonathan Taylor has resumed his role as the team's lead back, which will push Moss back into a complementary role. The Colts can grab a Wild Card berth in the playoffs if they beat Houston on Saturday, so expect it to be an all-hands-on-deck situation for Indy.Source: HoustonTexans.com
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss (forearm) was listed as a limited participant for Tuesday's estimated practice report. A right-forearm injury has kept Moss sidelined for the team's last two games, but the 26-year-old could be on the verge of returning for a Week 18 must-win contest at home against the visiting Houston Texans on Saturday evening. Moss may need to put in a full day of practice in the next two days to be cleared to return. He's had his moments this year for the Colts, even after Jonathan Taylor's return, but he'll most likely be looking at backup work and limited offensive snaps if he returns to play this weekend. If Moss is active against Houston, he'll be hard to trust in fantasy lineups.Source: Indianapolis Colts
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs caught both of his targets for 53 yards in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie caught a 50-yard deep shot on the team's third play from scrimmage and was then only targeted one more time for a three-yard catch. This also marks the first time Downs has cleared 50 total yards since the team's Week 8 win against the New Orleans Saints. The former Tar Heel has proved to be a viable deep-threat option for quarterback Gardner Minshew but has struggled with consistent fantasy success. He'll look to build on this performance in Week 18 when the Colts face off against the Houston Texans, and fantasy managers can look Downs' way for a boom-or-bust WR3/Flex option.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce took his only target of the day for a 58-yard touchdown in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. The touchdown came late in the first half, which would make for his only catch of the game. Pierce has been an underwhelming fantasy option this season, as today's win marked just the second time he's posted a double-digit fantasy outing. Pierce will look to remain involved in the team's Week 18 matchup against the Houston Texans but is largely off the fantasy radar for that contest.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught five of his seven targets for 46 yards in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. A rather pedestrian outing for Pittman, who hasn't been held to less than 50 yards since Week 8. Quarterback Gardner Minshew found success throwing to both wide receivers Alec Pierce and Josh Downs, which took away some volume from the team's usual No. 1 option. With that, he still led the team in targets, having four more than the next closest pass-catcher. The former USC Trojan will look to get back on track in Week 18 against the Houston Texans, and fantasy managers can rely on him as a solid WR2 option in that contest.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ran the ball 21 times for 96 yards and a touchdown in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. He also reeled in his only target of the day for another eight yards through the air. Taylor once again saw a huge workload in running back Zack Moss (forearm), receiving over 80% of the team's running back opportunities. With his touchdown today, he now extends his touchdown streak to four games. He'll look to continue his momentum in Week 18 when Indy hosts the Houston Texans, and fantasy managers in all formats can look to include him in lineups for that contest.Source: ESPN
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) is officially active on Sunday to face the visiting Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17. Pittman suffered a concussion in Week 15 and did not play in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. But he returned to a full participant in practice on Thursday and cleared the league's concussion protocol, paving the way for him to return this weekend. It really wasn't much of a secret that the 26-year-old was going to return in Week 17, so fantasy managers should have returned him to their starting lineups several days ago. Pittman is the team's clear No. 1 receiver and has turned in 99 receptions for 1,062 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games this year. He's a must-start in championship matchups against the Raiders.Source: Indianapolis Colts
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game versus the Raiders. Pittman didn't play in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, allowing Josh Downs, Kylen Granson, and Alec Pierce to combine for 23 targets from Gardner Minshew. All three players should continue to be involved on Sunday. However, Pittman has the best chance to lead the way on the receiving end, with everyone else fighting for the remaining scraps.Source: Adam Schefter
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree has been placed on the Commissioner Exempt List by the NFL. This comes as no surprise after Ogletree was arrested for felony domestic violence charges on Friday night. The second-year tight end is facing some serious charges including domestic violence committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old and domestic battery. It's possible that he won't see Ogletree in the NFL again. He spent most of the season on the injured reserve and barely contributed when healthy. His absence won't impact the Colts roster.Source: Adam Schefter
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 20 of his 37 passes for 201 yards and no touchdowns in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He now gears up for a Week 17 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, a defense allowing the tenth-least fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew's fantasy production is most reliant on passing touchdowns, which the Raiders have done a good job of defending this year, allowing just 19 on the season. Fantasy managers in need of a streaming option at quarterback this week may want to look elsewhere, as Minshew will likely only provide 2QB/Superflex value.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs caught six of his nine targets for 39 yards in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie led all Colts pass-catchers in targets as No.1 receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion) missed the game due to injury. With Pittman cleared to return in the team's Week 17 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, Downs' loss in volume may limit him from a strong fantasy outing. The Raiders have been a tough matchup for opposing fantasy receivers, allowing the 11th least points to the position. Their secondary sits right outside the top ten, allowing the 11th least passing yards per game on the season. Fantasy managers may want to look another way for a WR3/Flex option this week, as Downs doesn't come into this one with an incredibly safe floor or high ceiling.Source: RotoBaller
11 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ran the ball 18 times for 43 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He now gears up for a Week 17 matchup against the Raiders, one in which fellow running back Zack Moss (forearm) has been ruled out from. Taylor is set for another large workload, against a defense that's allowed the tenth most points to opposing fantasy running backs this season. That being said, their more recent form has been much better as Las Vegas has allowed just the third least amount of points to opposing fantasy running backs over the last four weeks. With all that in mind, Taylor's potential volume in Moss' absence puts him in contention for a solid RB2 play in Week 17.Source: RotoBaller
