Philadelphia Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that left-hander Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) is feeling good on Wednesday after being pulled from his start early on Tuesday against the division-rival New York Mets with left-forearm soreness. Sanchez wanted to play catch on Wednesday but wasn't allowed to do so. The Phillies have no plans to send him for an MRI exam, and the 28-year-old southpaw could just have his next scheduled start pushed back a few days. We should know more on his status after he plays catch on Friday. Sanchez's next scheduled start is for next Tuesday against the division-rival Washington Nationals, but that will probably be pushed back. He only made it two innings on Tuesday night and allowed two earned runs. Overall, Sanchez has been strong for fantasy managers in his first five starts, striking out 33 and walking eight in 26 1/3 innings.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Athletic - Matt Gelb

Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Bryson Stott is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the division-rival New York Mets with a left-hander on the mound. Edmundo Sosa will take over at second base and will hit seventh against Mets lefty David Peterson. Stott is hitting a cool .301 (25-for-83) with two homers, 13 RBI and four stolen bases in 21 games so far in 2025, but he's gone just 4-for-21 with two walks and five strikeouts against left-handed pitching. Sosa may not have a ton of fantasy upside for DFS purposes in the seven-hole for the Phillies, but fantasy managers shouldn't completely ignore him. The 29-year-old infielder has gone 12-for-29 (.414) in the early going as a backup with eight RBI and four runs scored. In his two career at-bats against Peterson, he has a hit and one RBI.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Kansas City Royals first base prospect Jac Caglianone went 3-for-4 with one double, two runs, and a 1:1 K:BB during their contest against Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday evening. Caglianone has enjoyed an impressive start to his time at Double-A and has continued to show improvement. Over his last three contests, Caglianone has tallied at least two hits in each and three hits in two. Through 16 total games with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, last year's sixth overall pick has held a strong .288/.367/.515 slash line with three doubles, four home runs, and tallied 20 RBI. He has shown a strong eye at the plate, holding an 18:9 K:BB. Last summer, the Florida product received a brief taste of High-A ball and hit two home runs in 29 games. If he continues this impressive play, a 2025 MLB debut is not out of the question.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Chicago White Sox pitching prospect Nick Nastrini tossed six shutout innings on Tuesday evening against Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In this outing, Nastrini allowed just two hits and two walks. He struck out six. This was a much-needed bounce-back for Nastrini as he posted an underwhelming 6.89 ERA with a 1.66 WHIP across his first four starts of the season (15 2/3 innings). During this stretch, he held a modest 12:9 K:BB and allowed three long balls. Last summer, Nastrini made his MLB debut but struggled at that level as he posted a 7.07 ERA with a 1.91 WHIP across 35 2/3 innings. He was in the mix to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster but ultimately fell short in the competition. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his progression at Charlotte as he could be in the mix to return to the majors if he can build off this strong start.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Miami Marlins rookie catcher Agustin Ramirez has burst on the MLB scene in his first few games this week, but he'll get the day off for Wednesday's series finale against the Cincinnati Reds at loanDepot Park. Liam Hicks is doing the catching for right-hander Sandy Alcantara and will bat seventh against Reds right-hander Brady Singer. In his first two major-league games, Ramirez has come out swinging, going 5-for-6 with three doubles, an RBI, stolen base, run scored, two walks and no strikeouts. It will be impossible for the 23-year-old backstop to keep that kind of pace up, but he has quickly earned considerable playing time for the lowly Marlins alongside Hicks. Hicks is also in his rookie season with Miami and has slashed .239/.321/.348 with a .669 OPS, one homer, two doubles, 11 RBI and five runs scored in his first 17 games played.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Detroit Tigers outfielder Kerry Carpenter is sitting out of Wednesday's series finale against the visiting San Diego Padres. Carpenter missed the first game of the series on Monday due to a minor hamstring injury, but he returned in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to go 0-for-4. With a scheduled day off on Thursday, fantasy managers should expect Carpenter to return to the starting lineup for Friday's series opener in Detroit against the Baltimore Orioles. His 0-for-4 performance on Tuesday dropped his season average just under .300, and he's been very productive for fantasy managers with five home runs, three doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in his 23 games played early on. Justyn-Henry Malloy is serving as the designated hitter and is batting leadoff on Wednesday against Padres left-hander Kyle Hart. Malloy is only hitting .182 (8-for-44) with no homers this year, but there's some deep-sleeper appeal here in DFS.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect Alex Pham enjoyed one of the best starts of his professional career on Tuesday evening against Double-A Altoona. In this outing, the right-hander tossed five 1/3 innings of one-run ball. He allowed just three hits, no walks, and struck out an impressive 11 batters. The former 19th-round pick has flashed high strikeout upside through the early part of the Double-A regular season. Across his first 19 innings of work (four starts), the University of San Francisco product has struck out 29 batters and served up just seven free passes. Last summer, Pham spent his entire time with Double-A Bowie and tallied 138 punchouts across 119 innings in which he held a 4.24 ERA. Fantasy managers should expect Pham to receive a promotion to Triple-A later this season.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

St. Louis Cardinals infielder Brendan Donovan (rib) is out of the lineup for a second straight day for Wednesday's series finale against the hosting Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Nolan Gorman is starting at second base again and is hitting third against Braves right-hander Bryce Elder. Donovan is dealing with a rib that popped out of place on Tuesday morning, but he's being considered day-to-day and isn't expected to need to be placed on the injured list. With a scheduled day off on Thursday, fantasy managers will be hoping that the hot-hitting 28-year-old will be ready for Friday's series opener at home against the division-rival Milwaukee Brewers. Donovan has been one of the best hitters in the early going in 2025, batting .356 (32-for-90) with three homers, 13 RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases in his first 23 games. Gorman has hit a pedestrian .250 with a homer and seven RBI in his 36 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: MLB.com

St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Michael McGreevy tossed six innings of one-run ball en route to earning his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening against the Norfolk Tides. In this outing, McGreevy allowed six hits and no walks. He struck out five. This was a nice bounce-back outing for the former 18th overall pick, as he allowed three runs in his last start. Across his first five starts of the Triple-A regular season (25 innings), the right-hander has posted a 3.60 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP. He has held a strong 21:4 K:BB and allowed just three home runs. Last summer, the 24-year-old made his MLB debut and posted a solid 1.96 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP across his first 23 innings. Fantasy managers should expect McGreevy to join St. Louis in the coming weeks if he continues to perform well at Triple-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Demetrio Crisantes was busy during their contest against High-A Tri-City on Tuesday. Crisantes went 4-for-4 at the dish with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base. This outing extended his current hitting streak to three games. Over his previous five games, Crisantes has begun to hit for power, as he hit two long balls and held an impressive .386/.364/.737 slash line. However, before this recent surge, Crisantes posted a modest .171/.354/.200 line with just one extra-base hit (a double) and five RBI. Last summer, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the Arizona system spent most of his campaign with Low-A. Fantasy managers should expect the 20-year-old to spend the majority of the 2025 season with High-A.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: MiLB.com

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suarez (back) pitched five scoreless innings for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in his most recent rehab outing -- collecting a win against the first-place Columbus Clippers. The 29-year-old was solid, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out five. Through 12 minor league innings, he's let up just six hits and one earned run -- punching out 16 batters. Suarez built up to 59 pitches in this start (eight swinging strikes), and is scheduled for his fourth rehab outing this Sunday. It's possible that plan changes, considering fellow SP Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) left his start against the New York Mets on Tuesday with forearm soreness. Still, there's been no further update on his status. Currently, Suarez is on track to return to the team in early May.--Alex CiullaSource: MILB.com

Boston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 8-3 win against the Seattle Mariners. The 25-year-old blasted his second dinger of the season off Mariners reliever Trent Thornton in the bottom of the seventh to give Boston a four-run lead, and they never looked back. It's been a slow few weeks for Casas, as he's gone 6-for-40 (.150) over his last 11 appearances with one extra-base hit, four RBI, and one run scored. The former first-round pick has been superb against left-handed pitchers this season (5-for-8), but struggled against righties to an abysmal .113 batting average. On the bright side, he's cut his strikeout rate by seven points from 2024. Still, it sits at an undesirable 24.1%.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Texas Rangers infielder Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Athletics. He also walked and struck out once. The 27-year-old was moved up to the leadoff spot in this one to give the offense a spark and continued his torrid pace to start the season. Smith is currently riding a seven-game hit streak that reaches back to before he sat out a few contests with a bruised thumb, and he's been spectacular. Overall, he's slashing .367/.456/.571 with two home runs, four doubles, four RBI, and 11 runs scored. Additionally, the former second-round pick has swiped three bags and seen his walk percentage jump to a robust 14.0%. It's unclear whether he'll stick at the top of the lineup against lefties, though we'll have that answer soon with Texas squaring off against left-handed hurler JP Sears on Wednesday.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN

Athletics designated hitter Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and an additional run scored in his team's 8-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Rooker's seventh long ball of the season came off Rangers reliever Jacob Webb in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut the A's deficit to three, but that was the last run they could plate in the contest. The lefty slugger is starting to heat up, racking up four multi-hit outings across his previous seven appearances. Over that stretch, he's batting a cool .379 (11-for-29) with three home runs, one double, five RBI, and eight runs scored. Rooker has maintained his exit velocity (91.9 mph in 2025) figures while cutting his strikeout percentage (25.7%) by three points from (28.8%) in 2024.--Alex CiullaSource: ESPN
