1 week agoWashington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly (illness) will miss a second straight game when the Wizards face the Pelicans on Sunday afternoon. Coulibaly has been averaging 33.8 minutes per game, and the 20-year-old from France is on pace to set career highs across the board. On Friday without Coulibaly, Kyle Kuzma returned to the starting lineup while Justin Champagnie stayed in the starting five and slid to small forward. Both Champagnie and Kuzma had solid games and could get even more work with Jordan Poole (hip) joining Coulibaly on the sideline.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoWashington Wizards point guard Jordan Poole (hip) will not be available in the second game of the Wizards' home-and-home set with the Pelicans. Poole returned on Wednesday from a two-game absence and played the last two games for Washington, scoring 30 points in a win over the Bulls and 26 in the loss on Friday to New Orleans. Bilal Coulibaly (illness) will also miss a second straight game, and without those tow starters, Malcolm Brogdon and Bub Carrington will likely carry most of the workload in the backcourt with Jared Butler also possibly in the mix.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Dejounte Murray (elbow) was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Washington D.C., but he was upgraded to available before tip-off. Murray has been a big part of the Pelicans recent rotation, averaging 13.6 points, 8.0 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in 33.1 minutes per game in his last five games. He had 11 points, 12 assists, and three steals on Friday against the Wizards, but his season-long shooting woes continue. On Sunday, Murray and the Pelicans will look to get back-to-back wins after losing 11 straight before winning the first half of this home-and-home set.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoCharlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller will be able to return from his six-game absence on Sunday when the Hornets face the Cavaliers in Cleveland. Miller and LaMelo Ball (ankle, wrist) will both be back in action for Charlotte, giving them their two top offensive options for the first time since December 26. In his second season, the former No. 2 overall pick is having a breakout campaign, averaging 21.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 34.5 minutes per game in his 23 games this season. Miller may be on a minutes restriction, but he should quickly step back into a key role in Charlotte's offense.Source: Hornets Injury Report
1 week agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball (ankle/wrist) will be able to play on Sunday night as his Hornets hit the road to face the Cavaliers. Ball has missed the last three games for the Hornets but will be able to return after initially being listed as questionable. Brandon Miller (ankle) is also available, so the Hornets will have their key scorers in place for this tough road matchup. Ball has been excellent when available this season, averaging 30.1 points, 7.4 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 33.4 minutes per game. He leads the NBA with a 37.6% usage rate, and he brings a high ceiling any time he's on the floor.Source: Hornets Injury Report
1 week agoNew York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (leg) appears to have avoided a serious injury, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, who reported that Towns went through an exhaustive post-game weightlifting session after his early exit from the Knicks' 13-point loss in Chicago on Saturday night. Towns had 44 points, 16 rebounds, and five assists in 37 minutes before hobbling to the locker room with a possible leg injury in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. Towns and the Knicks will look to bounce back from back-to-back road losses as they host the Magic on Monday.Source: Stefan Bondy
1 week agoSacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray (ankle) will suit up for Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Murray will make his return to the court after missing each of the last two games due to an ankle injury. The 24-year-old has been on a cold streak recently, but he's still worth starting in season-long formats due to his upside. The expectation is that Murray will have his full workload on Sunday despite missing two games in a row. Fantasy managers should go ahead and get him in their lineups ahead of tip-off.Source: Sean Cunningham
1 week agoSacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Golden State Warriors. This doesn't come as a shock given Fox was tagged as doubtful coming into this game. The superstar guard will miss his first game of the season. His next chance to get on the court will be Monday versus the Miami Heat. Keon Ellis figures to continue playing a big role after playing over 30 minutes in each of the last two games. He's worth a look as a streaming option with Fox unavailable to play on Sunday.Source: Sean Cunningham
1 week agoUtah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. Clarkson only played two minutes on Saturday before exiting due to left plantar fasciitis. As a result, Clarkson will sit out on Sunday and hopefully rest up in time to play during Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Isaiah Collier and Johnny Juzang should see bigger roles with Clarkson unavailable. Neither player is an ideal streaming option, but Juzang is the better streaming choice between the two.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoUtah Jazz forward John Collins (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. Collins returned on Saturday after missing the previous five games due to a left hip injury. He looked solid as he finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and three assists across 28 minutes of action. Collins is out with a personal matter, but will hopefully be back in the mix for Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Brice Sensabaugh is well worth a look as a streaming option while Collins is out. He finished with 34 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes during Saturday's game.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoUtah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic. Markkanen popped up on the injury report after finishing with 15 points during Saturday's contest. As a result, the Jazz are going to play it safe and hold out Markkanen for the second leg of the back-to-back set. The Jazz are likely to be shorthanded for this game with John Collins (personal) and Jordan Clarkson (foot) also sidelined. The expectation is that this team uses a committee approach to fill the void left by Markkanen. Brice Sensabaugh is probably the best streaming option after scoring 34 points during Saturday's game.Source: NBA Injury Report
1 week agoBoston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (shoulder) will play on Sunday versus OKC. Brown missed the last two games because of a right shoulder strain. However, he'll return for the pivotal meeting with the Thunder. As expected, the 28-year-old has had an All-Star-caliber season, averaging 24.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and a career-high 1.4 steals, making him a routine fantasy starter in any format. Brown's return will mean Sam Hauser will return to the bench, significantly capping his fantasy potential.Source: NBA Injury Report
2 weeks agoAtlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (leg) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Bogdanovic made his return to the court on Friday after missing the previous five games due to a leg injury. The veteran guard will now sit out the second leg of the back-to-back set for rest purposes. The Hawks are a bit shorthanded with Jalen Johnson (shoulder) also sitting out on Saturday. That means, De'Andre Hunter, Zaccharie Risacher, and Garrison Mathews should all see increased roles during this game. Between the three, Hunter is the best streaming option for Saturday's slate. He has been the most consistent scoring option and should see plenty of minutes on Saturday.Source: Brad Rowland
2 weeks agoAtlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Johnson will now miss his second game in the last three contests due to right shoulder soreness. The absence of Johnson means that both Garrison Mathews and De'Andre Hunter will see increased roles on Saturday. Hunter posted a dud his last time out, but has finished with 20 points or more in four of his last five games. The absence of Johnson should mean more minutes for Hunter which should make him a valuable streaming option for Saturday's slate.Source: Brad Rowland
2 weeks agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (hand) is available ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The superstar guard is ready to go despite dealing with a right hand contusion. He'll be the primary ball handler especially with Jalen Johnson (shoulder) sidelined for this game. Young figures to resume his regular role or possibly play a few more minutes without Johnson on the court. Fantasy managers should feel confident about plugging Young into their lineups. Young has posted three straight games with 30 points or more, so he'll be a strong fantasy option for Saturday's game.Source: Brad Rowland
