6 days agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward/center Guerschon Yabusele (eye) won't face the Knicks on Wednesday. He got another start in Monday's blowout loss to the Bulls. Unfortunately, he logged only 13 minutes of action before suffering an eye abrasion. With Joel Embiid (knee) also ruled out, as expected, the Sixers will likely roll with Andre Drummond at the five to begin the game. Drummond has averaged 8.1 points, 9.4 boards, and 1.5 steals in 16 starts this season, so fantasy managers can add him to their starting lineups. Adem Bona will also see more action and is worth streaming until Yabusele is cleared to return.Source: NBA Injury Report
6 days agoOrlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (knee) won't return to Tuesday's meeting with the Cavs. Anthony got the start once again in place of the injured Jalen Suggs (quadriceps). He logged 21 minutes, although he would finish with only six points, five rebounds, and four assists before exiting with a hyperextended left knee. The Magic may not have Suggs or Anthony on Thursday against Golden State. As a result, Anthony Black, averaging 8.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.0 steals in nine starts, should find a place in more fantasy lineups than usual.Source: Orlando Magic
6 days agoThe Athletic's Matt Schneidman says not to be surprised if the Green Bay Packers reach a contract extension with linebacker Quay Walker this offseason. The deadline to exercise fifth-year options is coming soon, and picking up Walker's fifth-year option would result in a guaranteed salary of around $16.5 million in 2026, according to Over The Cap. It sounds like general manager Brian Gutekunst doesn't want to make Walker the fourth-highest paid off-the-ball linebacker, although it doesn't mean the team doesn't want Walker to stick around into the future. "But yeah, we'd like to find a way to keep Quay around here long-term, whether that be an extension or something," Gutekunst said. Despite playing in only 13 regular-season games in 2024 due to an ankle injury, the former first-rounder finished with 102 combined tackles for the third straight year to begin his NFL career.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman

6 days agoA T9 at the first event at Torrey Pines this season is the only bright spot for Kyounghoon Lee in 2025. The golf game elsewhere has been spotty, at best, with nothing to lean on in terms of strength in any facet. He's only been in the positive in total strokes gained in one event and has missed the cut in three of five. The record around the Champion Course for Lee is just as up and down, with strokes gained on approach being the difference between a good or bad finish in five total starts. What's more concerning for him this week is that the Tom Fazio design is much more penal to players with a right miss than those who miss left. The 33-year-old has dealt with a right miss one-and-a-half times more than a miss to the left (12.27% to 8.59%) through his five starts. If that issue rears its head a few times to start the week, it could be a short one for K.H. Lee.Source: PGA Tour
6 days agoGreen Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said that he doesn't think wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) has any long-term concern with his head health despite the fact that he suffered multiple concussions in the second half of the 2024 season, including in the wild-card loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. "Any time a guy has a couple concussions back-to-back, there's some concern there, not necessarily his long-term liability or anything, just for him," Gutekunst said. "I would expect him to bounce back and be at his best." The 24-year-old took a step back in 2024 in his third year in the NFL, but it didn't help that he played in only 13 regular-season games (12 starts). After going for 674 receiving yards and eight TDs in 2023, Doubs finished with a 46-601-4 line. With Christian Watson (knee) expected to miss at least half the 2025 season, Doubs should be in line for an expanded role if he's healthy.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
6 days agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) had his ACL surgery and is expected to be back around the midway point of the 2025 season, according to The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. "Doing well. He's got a lot in front of him, but I expect him to attack it like he does everything else … everything so far's been really good. He's been through this before, so he knows what to expect. It's a big injury. It may take some time, but he's got the right mindset, positive attitude toward it," general manager Brian Gutekunst said. The 25-year-old wideout tore his ACL in Week 18 against the Bears and finished his third year in the NFL with 29 catches (53 targets) for a career-high 620 receiving yards and a career-low two touchdowns in 15 starts. Known as a slow healer, it wouldn't be a surprise if Watson's recovery lingers into the second half. In standard 12-team leagues this fall, Watson will most likely go undrafted.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
6 days agoNicolai Hojgaard had an impressive week at the Mexico Open, finishing eighth while gaining 4.571 strokes on approach and a career-best 10.463 strokes from tee to green. He now turns his attention to the Cognizant Classic, a tournament he has played in only once, missing the cut in 2022. PGA National is an unforgiving course that demands precision on approach, an area where Hojgaard excels, ranking third on tour with an average of 1.184 strokes gained approach per round. He also ranks in the 91st percentile for proximity from 150-200 yards, a range that accounts for 48.1% of approach shots at this course. In addition to his strong approach play, avoiding around-the-green work will be key to success, and Hojgaard leads the tour in greens in regulation at 77.08%. Given his elite play early in the season, fantasy managers can confidently insert Hojgaard into their lineups at his price tag of $7,400 on DraftKings.Source: Data Golf
6 days agoKansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said on Tuesday at the NFL Combine that the team "will look to get Marquise Brown back." The Chiefs had big plans for Hollywood when they signed him last offseason, but the 27-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason that required surgery and caused him to miss 15 regular-season games. He eventually returned to play in two games at the tail end of the regular season and caught nine of 15 targets for 91 yards and no touchdowns as he got back up to speed. Brown added five catches on 13 targets for only 50 yards in three playoff games. Despite a disappointing 2024 campaign, the speedy wideout could be a prime bounce-back candidate in fantasy at a cheap cost if he returns to the Chiefs as a starter in three-wide sets with Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice (knee).Source: The Kansas City Star - Sam McDowell
6 days agoThe run of good golf continues for Michael Kim, as the 31-year-old finished T13 in Mexico for his third-straight top-15 finish. The week at Vidanta Vallarta was impressive for him in the long iron department, which has been the lone fault in his approach game this season. The length of the course may be the cause of the -0.03 strokes lost off the tee and the more subdued +0.29 strokes gained on approach metrics as well. While PGA National is not as strenuous in length, it makes up for twice over in the need for accuracy. Expect Kim to put up another solid performance.Source: Data Golf
6 days agoDallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) is available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Washington has been battling an ankle issue, but will make his third straight appearance despite the injury. He has played well during the last two games, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect the ankle issue to limit him at all. This season, Washington is averaging 14.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 32 minutes per game. He'll probably be asked to do more of the heavy lifting on offense with Luka Doncic no longer in Dallas. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get Washington active in their lineups.Source: Marc Stein
6 days agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) won't suit up on Wednesday against the Knicks, as expected. The 2023 NBA MVP is listed as out for injury management purposes. But with the Sixers drifting away from a Play-In spot, fantasy managers may not see him for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. With Guerschon Yabusele (eye) sidelined, Andre Drummond will likely get the start. Adem Bona is worth grabbing off the waiver wire, where available, considering he may be in line for increased production for at least a few games.Source: NBA Injury Report

6 days agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Ben Simmons (knee) is ready to go ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Simmons appears ready to play again following a one-game absence due to a knee injury. He has been decent during his three appearances with the Clippers. Simmons isn't going to light up the box score, but he should be able to provide low-end fantasy value. He shouldn't be limited at all after only a one game absence, so fantasy managers can get him back into their lineups on Wednesday.Source: Law Murray
6 days agoLos Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (foot) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The superstar forward is set to return to the court after missing each of the last two games due to a foot injury. The expectation is that Leonard is going to have his full workload on Wednesday. He figures to be one of the primary scoring options, especially with Norman Powell (knee) still sidelined. Fantasy managers should make sure they get Leonard active in their lineups ahead of Wednesday's game.Source: Law Murray

6 days agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Norman Powell (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Chicago Bulls. Powell is set to miss his fourth game in a row while he continues to recover from a knee injury. The expectation is that Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kris Dunn are going to see bigger roles with Powell sidelined. However, Kawhi Leonard (foot) is active, so he figures to cut into some of that playing time. Despite that, Bogdanovic might still be worth looking at as a streaming choice while Powell is out.Source: Law Murray
6 days agoUtah Jazz guard Collin Sexton (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Sexton is set to miss his 10th game in a row while he continues to recover from an ankle injury. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for anything this season, so there is no rush to get Sexton back on the court. In the meantime, Jordan Clarkson and Isaiah Collier should both see increased roles in the rotation. Clarkson is the much more reliable streaming option between the two guards.Source: Andy Larsen
6 days agoDenver Broncos general manager George Paton said at the NFL Combine on Tuesday that the team could re-sign impending free-agent running back Javonte Williams this offseason. "There's a chance we bring Javonte back. I think he's one of the best pass protectors in the league," Paton said. It was previously reported this offseason that Denver was unlikely to bring Williams back in 2025 after another disappointing season in which he averaged just 3.7 yards per carry for 513 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 139 rushing attempts in 17 regular-season games (11 starts). He just hasn't displayed the same burst and tackle-breaking abilities since tearing his ACL early in the 2022 season, and he lost the lead-back role for the Broncos early in 2024. The only good news for Williams last year was that he had a career-best 52 catches for 346 yards through the air. His fantasy stock has fallen, but depending on his situation in 2025, he could be a bounce-back candidate.Source: The Athletic - Nick Kosmider
6 days agoUtah Jazz forward John Collins (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Collins will now miss his third game in a row due to a back issue. The Jazz aren't exactly playing for anything this season, so there is no incentive to rush Collins back to the court. However, the Jazz are a bit shorthanded with Lauri Markkanen (back) ruled out and Walker Kessler (illness) listed as questionable for Wednesday's game. That means, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski will likely both see larger roles in the rotation. Both players are worth looking at as streaming options while the Jazz are shorthanded.Source: Andy Larsen
6 days agoDenver Broncos general manager George Paton said at the NFL Combine on Tuesday that he wants wide receiver Courtland Sutton to stick around Denver and that he will talk to Sutton's agent this week in Indianapolis about a potential contract extension. Sutton voiced displeasure about his contract last offseason, and the Broncos added some incentives to appease him. However, the 29-year-old is surely going to want an upgraded contract this offseason after recording the second 1,000-yard receiving season of his career as rookie quarterback Bo Nix's go-to target in the passing game in 2024. In addition to his 1,081 yards, Sutton caught 81 of his career-high 135 targets and scored eight times, making him a top-15 fantasy wideout. Sutton has 18 touchdowns the last two years and should be treated as a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 heading into 2025 fantasy drafts.Source: The Denver Post - Troy Renck
6 days agoUtah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. He is set to miss his second game in a row due to a back issue. This puts the Jazz in a tough spot with John Collins (back) also sidelined and Walker Kessler (illness) considered questionable to play. The Jazz will likely ask Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski to play bigger roles in the rotation. Both are worth looking at as streaming options, but Filipowski might be the slightly better streaming option after posting a double-double on Monday.Source: Andy Larsen
6 days agoUtah Jazz center Walker Kessler (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Kessler is still recovering from an illness that forced him to miss Monday's contest. The Jazz are likely going to wait and see how he feels on Wednesday before making a final decision. Both John Collins (back) and Lauri Markkanen (back) are still sidelined, so the Jazz could be shorthanded for this game. If Kessler sits again, Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski figure to have bigger roles in the rotation. Right now, both players are worth looking at as streaming options with the Jazz banged up.Source: Andy Larsen
6 days agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore is set to make his spring debut on Saturday. The Nationals will play in split-squad games against the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals that day. Gore has yet to pitch in a spring training game but has remained active on the mound. He threw two innings against live hitters earlier this week and noted that everything feels "normal" and that he is on the "same schedule as everybody." Gore is expected to serve as the ace of the rotation once again. Last season, the southpaw held a 3.90 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP across 166 1/3 innings of work. He tallied an impressive 181 punchouts but had a high 8.9 percent walk rate. He also generated a modest 4.50 xERA and a .252 xBA, which placed him in the 39th and 31st percentile. Fantasy managers should view Gore as a late-round target when looking to bolster their rotation and increase their strikeout production.Source: Mark Zuckerman
6 days agoDenver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (undisclosed) is "fine" and has been working out after undergoing an undisclosed procedure earlier this offseason, according to head coach Sean Payton. Nix's procedure was not related to his back injury from his rookie season. The surgery shouldn't have any affect on the 25-year-old's 2025 fantasy value after a very impressive first season in the NFL in which he threw for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions on 567 pass attempts. The first-rounder out of Oregon also ran the ball 92 times for 430 yards and an additional four touchdowns to show off his underrated speed. Nix finished as the QB8 in overall fantasy scoring, and he did it all with a pretty non-existent running game to help him out. The Broncos will surely be looking to beef up their offensive weapons around Nix in his sophomore season, where he'll certainly be in play as a midrange QB1 target in fantasy drafts.Source: DNVR Sports - Zac Stevens
6 days agoDallas Mavericks center Dwight Powell (hip) is available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Mavs are banged up, but at least they'll get one reinforcement ahead of this game. Powell has been sidelined since mid-January due to a hip issue. That being said, Powell is likely going to be limited considering he hasn't played in over a month. Kessler Edwards figures to continue having a bigger role while Powell works his way back into the mix. Powell figures to see decent minutes once he's back up to full speed.Source: Tim MacMahon
6 days agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Tuesday at the NFL Combine that long-time offensive tackle Jason Peters is retiring this offseason to serve as an assistant to vice president of player affairs Mo Kelly. Peters didn't play in a single game in Seattle in 2024 before finishing the year on Injured Reserve with an undisclosed injury in December. The 43-year-old was an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas but began his 19-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004. He ended up being named to nine Pro Bowls while also being named a first-team All-Pro twice. Peters spent the first five years of his career with the Bills before joining the Philadelphia Eagles for 11 years. He bounced around with the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Seahawks from 2021-23 and finishes what could end up being a Hall of Fame career with 248 games played (221 starts).Source: The Tacoma News Tribune - Gregg Bell
6 days agoLos Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (foot) is available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks. As expected, James will suit up for this contest after being listed as probable heading into Tuesday's game. He has been a regular on the injury report while dealing with ankle and foot issues throughout the season. Despite that, James will suit up and figures to play his normal role during Tuesday's game. Fantasy managers should go ahead and get James active in their lineups.Source: Marc Stein
6 days agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand) is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday. Barger went through a normal day of work on Tuesday and is on track to return to action on Wednesday. Barger exited Sunday's spring training contest earlier after being hit by a pitch on his hand. He went for X-rays, but the results were negative. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during camp, as he will likely continue to compete for a role at the hot corner. The 25-year-old made his MLB debut last season and posted a .197/.250/.351 line across 69 games. He hit seven home runs and swiped two bags. He is currently slated to be the No. 2 option at third base behind Ernie Clement. However, a strong spring could push him into a more significant role.Source: Shi Davidi
6 days agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Tuesday that the team will meet with quarterback Geno Smith's agents this week to begin talks on a contract extension. Schneider said there is no deadline for an extension, but also that Smith is "our guy." Smith was better in 2024 than he was in 2023, throwing for 4,320 yards and 21 touchdowns in 17 starts, although he did throw 15 interceptions -- the most since he tossed 21 in his rookie year in 2013 with the Jets. It was good enough to make him the QB12 in overall fantasy points. The former second-round pick in 2013 out of West Virginia has established himself as a locked-in starter in Seattle the last three years, but at best in fantasy, he's a matchup-based, low-end QB1 streamer who will turn 35 years old this fall. He'll also be working with a new offensive coordinator yet again in 2025.Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta
