6 months agoGreen Bay Packers kicker Brayden Narveson looks to continue building up some momentum as the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. After Narveson's brutal showing in Week 4 where he missed two field goals, the Packers stuck with him and Narveson made his only field goal attempt and booted home three extra point attempts in their win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Starting Narveson in fantasy lineups this week is a bet on the game environment being filled with points, which is definitely on the table with the scoring potential of both the Packers and Cardinals. Consider Narveson a fringe starting option this week in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed should be targeted plenty in the Packers' upcoming matchup in Week 6 where they'll host the Arizona Cardinals. Reed has been a big play waiting to happen for Green Bay this season and has emerged as the Packers' unquestioned top target and playmaker in their offense. With a four-catch, 78-yard effort along with 19 rushing yards last week against the Los Angeles Rams, that stat line represented his worst game of the three games with Jordan Love starting at quarterback. With other receivers returning to the lineup like Romeo Doubs and potentially Christian Watson (ankle) who is listed as questionable in the injury report, Reed's targets may shift slightly, but Reed is still in a great position heading into Week 6. He's become a must-start wide receiver for fantasy managers and should be universally started.Source: RotoBaller
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs looks to keep his solid run going when the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs scored his first touchdown as a Packer last week and totaled 94 total yards in their win over the Rams in Week 5. Jacobs should find many more running lanes against the Cardinals, who are a bottom-six defense in EPA/rush attempt on the season. Arizona has given up at least 80 yards rushing to four running backs in the last three weeks, so Jacobs should be in line for a quality day with the safe and solid volume he gets each week. Fantasy managers should feel secure in slotting Jacobs into their lineups as a RB1 option in most weeks and that doesn't change in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is set for a great performance this week as he and the Packers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Love has thrown multiple touchdowns in all three of his games this season and looks to parlay that into a fourth multiple-touchdown effort on Sunday. Love has a couple banged up pass-catchers in Tucker Kraft (groin) and Christian Watson (ankle) but Kraft is off the injury report and Watson is listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Still, with Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, a returning Romeo Doubs, and the Cardinals' fourth-worst defensive EPA/pass attempt opposing him, Love should be able to post quality numbers for fantasy managers. Lock Love into your lineups as a solid QB1 option in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, according to Wes Hodkiewicz. The former first-round selection was unable to suit up last week due to an ankle sprain he suffered in Week 4. This week, Watson was able to log three consecutive limited practice sessions. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates over the weekend. Watson found the end zone in Week 1 but has been relatively quiet and has caught only two passes since Week 2. If Watson is able to suit up, he should be viewed as a flex option with risk given the amount of pass-catchers in the Green Bay offense, which limits his production.Source: Wes Hodkiewicz

6 months agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that tight end Tucker Kraft (groin), who was added to the Week 6 injury report on Thursday with a groin issue, "should be good to go" for Sunday's contest against the Arizona Cardinals. Apparently Kraft's injury isn't serious enough to keep him from playing this weekend in a good matchup at Lambeau Field. And with fellow tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) expected to land on Injured Reserve, Kraft's target share at the position in Green Bay should only increase moving forward. The downside is that both receivers Romeo Doubs (suspension) and Christian Watson (ankle) could return in Week 6, which would inevitably take some valuable targets away. The 23-year-old Kraft was a popular waiver-wire pickup this week after going for four catches, 88 yards and two touchdowns in last week's win over the Rams. Kraft is in play as a TE1 this weekend.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman

6 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. This is good news for fantasy managers as Watson missed the Packers' Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams. Watson has been underwhelming in fantasy in 2024. A combination of injuries and the absence of Jordan Love for a couple of games has significantly impacted Watson's production. He only has five receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown in 2024. That is good for 19 fantasy points in five games in PPR scoring. With the emergence of wide receiver Jayden Reed, Watson has likely lost his grip on the No. 1 wide receiver role in Green Bay. Even if he can return in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals, fantasy managers should wait and see how Watson fares before deploying him in their lineups.Source: Green Bay Packers
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs plans to attend practice on Wednesday coming out of his meeting with the team on Monday, according to a source. The source said that Doubs' meeting with the team "went well" after he was suspended for the Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams for conduct detrimental to the team. Doubs decided not to show up to a few practices last week because he has been upset with his role in the offense, which led to him being suspended for Sunday's contest. It sounds like the 24-year-old will return to the mix in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals in a solid matchup, and if Christian Watson (ankle) misses a second straight game, Doubs could get the squeaky wheel treatment and be fed plenty of targets by quarterback Jordan Love. Doubs was a big part of Green Bay's offense last year and finished with 674 yards and eight touchdowns.Source: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler
6 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (suspension) will meet with head coach Matt LaFleur on Monday and is expected to return to the team ahead of Week 6 versus the Arizona Cardinals. Doubs missed crucial practice time with a personal matter this past week and was eventually suspended one game for detrimental conduct, reportedly stemming from frustration with his current role in the Packers' offense. Through four games so far, the 24-year-old has 12 catches, 169 yards, and zero touchdowns, typically operating behind Jayden Reed but ahead of Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks. It's possible that Doubs will see limited usage over the next few weeks as a result of his conduct, so he should be left on the bench in fantasy football until his stat line is impressive enough to justify starting him.Source: Matt Schneidman
6 months agoThe Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams unit was very active against the Los Angeles Rams in their 24-19 victory in Week 5. The defense pressured Matthew Stafford into three sacks and an interception, plus forced and recovered a fumble of Kyren Williams in the first Rams drive of the second half. The Packers D/ST allowed 370 total yards and put up some healthy stats for fantasy managers on the afternoon from a team that was missing their top two wide receivers. The Packers will head home and host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6, where there could be some points put up by the Cardinals. Still, with the Packers performing the way they are, they're easily a startable fantasy defense moving forward.Source: ESPN
