11 months agoArizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride hauled in 10 of 11 targets for 102 yards in Sunday's 45-29 Week 15 loss to San Francisco. McBride was one of the lone bright spots for Arizona alongside teammate James Conner. He finished as the team's leading receiver while also notching his second 100-yard game of the season, and saw a whopping 11 targets on the day. McBride is blossoming into a stud TE before our very eyes and is sporting a 38-425-2 stat line over his last five games. As such, he should be treated as a premium option at the position moving forward and will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 16.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado ran for 64 yards and a touchdown on four carries in the team's 45-29 Week 15 loss to San Francisco. As the primary backup behind James Conner, Demercado made his presence known. He ripped off a long 49-yard TD run in the fourth quarter during garbage time to help get his team back in the game. Even though it was too little too late, Demercado has made a case for more playing time and should currently be considered ahead of teammate Michael Carter for the second RB spot on the depth chart. Demercado and the rest of the Arizona offense will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 16.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner ran for 86 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries in the team's 45-29 Week 15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Conner also caught all three of his targets through the air. He was able to follow up his solid outing two weeks ago with another impressive performance against a 49ers rush defense ranked third-best in the league. Over his last two games, Conner has combined for 191 rushing yards and three touchdowns and is gaining momentum at a crucial point in the fantasy schedule. He remains on track as a solid RB2 heading into a Week 16 showdown against the Chicago Bears.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray completed 26 of 39 pass attempts for 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the team's Week 15 loss to the 49ers. He also added 49 rushing yards on six attempts. Going up against one of the best defensive units in the league, it was not one of the better outings for Murray or the Arizona offense. On a positive note, Murray did help his team take an early lead before throwing a crucial interception towards the end of the first quarter that shifted momentum back to San Fran. Later in the game, Murray was also able to throw a TD pass to help salvage the mediocre performance. Even though Kyler had to leave at one point due to injury, he later returned and should be good to go for a Week 16 clash against the Chicago Bears.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is questionable to return to Sunday's showdown with the 49ers. He was questionable heading into this one because of a heel issue, so there's a good chance he won't be back, especially with San Francisco's decisive lead in the fourth quarter. If Brown is officially ruled out, he'll finish without a target, with Trey McBride, Rondale Moore, and Greg Dortch the favorites to see a few extra looks from Kyler Murray.Source: Josh Wenfuss
11 months agoArizona Cardinals tight end Geoff Swaim (calf) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the 49ers. He suffered a calf injury, ending his day with one catch for 26 yards. That said, it's unlikely many fantasy managers had him in the lineup, considering Trey McBride is the primary tight end on the depth chart.Source: Josh Weinfuss
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receivers Marquise Brown (heel) and Michael Wilson (neck) are active for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Both players had been listed as questionable but were trending in the right direction prior to kickoff. Brown has produced mixed results this season, catching just 51 of 101 targets for 574 yards and four touchdowns. Meanwhile, Wilson is making his return from a three-game absence. The promising rookie has 28 catches for 435 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the course of nine contests. While Brown and Wilson are solid players, a tough matchup against the 49ers does create some concern. Fantasy managers should view both as WR3/FLEX options this weekSource: Arizona Cardinals
11 months agoArizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker (illness) was added to the injury report on Sunday morning. He's officially questionable to play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. With just six hours until the game starts, it appears that the safety's status is suddenly up in the air, though it's possible that this is strictly procedural and doesn't need to trigger any warning flags. Fans and managers concerned about Baker's availability should check back for confirmation on his status 90 minutes before kickoff.Source: Ian Rapoport

11 months agoArizona Cardinals kicker Matt Prater booted one 51-yard field goal and three extra points in the team's Week 13 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago. He looked good in that matchup and fresh off a Week 14 bye, should be well-rested and ready to go. However, the Cardinals take on a stiff test against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. While the Arizona offense has been better since the return of quarterback Kyler Murray, the 49ers currently boast the best defense in the NFL, making it a real possibility that Arizona struggles to move the ball. While that could open up additional opportunities for Prater and his booming leg, it could also stifle the Cardinal offense so much that Prater sees fewer opportunities. As such, he remains too risky and nothing more than a waiver wire option for Week 15.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoThe Arizona Cardinals will face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15. Fresh off their Week 14 bye, the Cardinals have a brutal matchup. While it is possible that the bye allowed their defense to become well-rested, they are set to face off against Brock Purdy and the 49er offense, one of the best in the league. Purdy is also one of the best at the deep pass and leads the NFL by a wide margin in YPA with 9.9. Comparatively, the Cardinals are allowing the second-most EPA/pass and the eighth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. This doesn't include figuring out a way to stop the other San Francisco offensive weapons, including running back Christian McCaffrey. As a unit ranked 30th overall, the Arizona defense is best avoided in Week 15.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has been balling over the past few weeks, and to say he's been good would be an understatement. Since Week 8, McBride has been the TE3 in fantasy points per game while ranking first in target share among tight ends. He's emerging as an elite option for the position and should be considered a must-start at this point. As good as McBride has been, in Week 15 he faces a stiff test against the San Francisco 49ers. The San Francisco defense has been tough on tight ends all season, allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game. While the matchup is a brutal one, the Arizona offense figures to be behind most of the game, opening the door for McBride to continue posting a solid stat line. He remains a TE1 in Week 15.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wideout Rondale Moore faces off against the top defense in the league in the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 and may find it tough sledding. In Week 13, Moore was held to just one catch for six yards, and even though teammates Marquise Brown (heel) and Michael Wilson (neck) are listed as questionable for this game, there is the possibility at least one of them will play. Additionally, so far this season, Moore has racked up 9.0 yards per reception, which ranks 102nd in the NFL. He's also compiled 260 receiving yards and one TD through the air. Each ranks 131st in the league. Those are ugly numbers. Combine that with the brutal matchup, and Moore is best left on fantasy benches.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch and the rest of the Arizona offense will take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 fresh off their bye. The 49ers are currently ranked 16th against the pass and may have up to seven players out on the defensive side of the ball. Despite this, there is a possibility at least one of the teammates Marquise Brown (heel) or Michael Wilson (neck) may play, and if so, present as a better fantasy option than Dortch. Even though Dortch has somewhat reemerged over the past few weeks, much of that has been due to an increase in play time due to the injury to Wilson. There is also the possibility the Cardinal offense may lean more heavily on tight end Trey McBride in the passing attack due to the tough matchup, making Dortch at best a WR4/5 gamble. Fantasy Managers can most likely find better starting options for Week 15.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals running back Michael Carter made his team debut in Week 12 against the L.A. Rams less than two weeks after joining his new team. He appeared to be the No. 2 RB in the backfield behind incumbent James Conner and finished with just two fewer carries. In Week 15, Carter and the rest of the Arizona offense will face off against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers currently boast the league's best rush defense and also rank as the best defensive unit overall. While Carter could be somewhat utilized in the passing game due to his receiving skills, he's expected to be the usual primary backup to Conner and thus may receive limited work. Additionally, even though the possibility exists that the Cardinals could fall behind in the game and give their regulars some rest, Carter remains much too risky to start for fantasy purposes and currently only has value as an injury handcuff. As such, Carter should remain on the fantasy bench in Week 15.Source: ESPN.COM
