Oliveira survived, got back to his feet and landed a takedown before taking Chandlers back and threatening him with submissions. In 25 minutes of action, Oliveira landed five takedowns and 88 significant strikes. With the victory, Oliveira moved into a second-place tie for most wins in UFC history with 23. It was a close, back-and-forth fight, but in the end, Silva didn't do enough in the eyes of the judges. She had her moments, like at the end of the first round, where Silva connected with a stiff punch that wobbled Araujo momentarily. Viviane Araujo Gets Back In The Win Column
5 months agoOn Saturday, Viviane Araujo picked up a unanimous decision victory over Karine Silva on the main card of UFC 309. It was a very close fight but in the end, judges thought the underdog Araujo did enough to win. In 15 minutes of action, Araujo landed three takedowns and 48 significant strikes. By defeating Silva, Araujo improved to 13-6 as a pro and 7-5 in the UFC. Araujo proved she's still a tough out for anybody in the division.Source: UFC
