10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce took his only target of the day for a 58-yard touchdown in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. The touchdown came late in the first half, which would make for his only catch of the game. Pierce has been an underwhelming fantasy option this season, as today's win marked just the second time he's posted a double-digit fantasy outing. Pierce will look to remain involved in the team's Week 18 matchup against the Houston Texans but is largely off the fantasy radar for that contest.Source: ESPN
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught five of his seven targets for 46 yards in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. A rather pedestrian outing for Pittman, who hasn't been held to less than 50 yards since Week 8. Quarterback Gardner Minshew found success throwing to both wide receivers Alec Pierce and Josh Downs, which took away some volume from the team's usual No. 1 option. With that, he still led the team in targets, having four more than the next closest pass-catcher. The former USC Trojan will look to get back on track in Week 18 against the Houston Texans, and fantasy managers can rely on him as a solid WR2 option in that contest.Source: ESPN
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ran the ball 21 times for 96 yards and a touchdown in the team's 23-20 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. He also reeled in his only target of the day for another eight yards through the air. Taylor once again saw a huge workload in running back Zack Moss (forearm), receiving over 80% of the team's running back opportunities. With his touchdown today, he now extends his touchdown streak to four games. He'll look to continue his momentum in Week 18 when Indy hosts the Houston Texans, and fantasy managers in all formats can look to include him in lineups for that contest.Source: ESPN
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) is officially active on Sunday to face the visiting Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17. Pittman suffered a concussion in Week 15 and did not play in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. But he returned to a full participant in practice on Thursday and cleared the league's concussion protocol, paving the way for him to return this weekend. It really wasn't much of a secret that the 26-year-old was going to return in Week 17, so fantasy managers should have returned him to their starting lineups several days ago. Pittman is the team's clear No. 1 receiver and has turned in 99 receptions for 1,062 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games this year. He's a must-start in championship matchups against the Raiders.Source: Indianapolis Colts
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game versus the Raiders. Pittman didn't play in Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons, allowing Josh Downs, Kylen Granson, and Alec Pierce to combine for 23 targets from Gardner Minshew. All three players should continue to be involved on Sunday. However, Pittman has the best chance to lead the way on the receiving end, with everyone else fighting for the remaining scraps.Source: Adam Schefter
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree has been placed on the Commissioner Exempt List by the NFL. This comes as no surprise after Ogletree was arrested for felony domestic violence charges on Friday night. The second-year tight end is facing some serious charges including domestic violence committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old and domestic battery. It's possible that he won't see Ogletree in the NFL again. He spent most of the season on the injured reserve and barely contributed when healthy. His absence won't impact the Colts roster.Source: Adam Schefter
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 20 of his 37 passes for 201 yards and no touchdowns in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He now gears up for a Week 17 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, a defense allowing the tenth-least fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Minshew's fantasy production is most reliant on passing touchdowns, which the Raiders have done a good job of defending this year, allowing just 19 on the season. Fantasy managers in need of a streaming option at quarterback this week may want to look elsewhere, as Minshew will likely only provide 2QB/Superflex value.Source: RotoBaller
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs caught six of his nine targets for 39 yards in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie led all Colts pass-catchers in targets as No.1 receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion) missed the game due to injury. With Pittman cleared to return in the team's Week 17 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, Downs' loss in volume may limit him from a strong fantasy outing. The Raiders have been a tough matchup for opposing fantasy receivers, allowing the 11th least points to the position. Their secondary sits right outside the top ten, allowing the 11th least passing yards per game on the season. Fantasy managers may want to look another way for a WR3/Flex option this week, as Downs doesn't come into this one with an incredibly safe floor or high ceiling.Source: RotoBaller
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ran the ball 18 times for 43 yards and a touchdown in the team's Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He now gears up for a Week 17 matchup against the Raiders, one in which fellow running back Zack Moss (forearm) has been ruled out from. Taylor is set for another large workload, against a defense that's allowed the tenth most points to opposing fantasy running backs this season. That being said, their more recent form has been much better as Las Vegas has allowed just the third least amount of points to opposing fantasy running backs over the last four weeks. With all that in mind, Taylor's potential volume in Moss' absence puts him in contention for a solid RB2 play in Week 17.Source: RotoBaller
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) has been cleared from the league's concussion protocol and practiced in full on Thursday and Friday, but he still wasn't able to escape a questionable tag for the Week 17 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Pittman missed the Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons but is feeling much better and should be fully expected to play this Sunday despite the questionable tag. Fantasy managers should have already moved him back into their starting lineups as a strong WR2 play as Indianapolis' clear No. 1 target when healthy. Pittman has been the WR15 in half-PPR scoring this year, even though he missed last weekend's game with a concussion. He's one reception shy of reaching the 100-catch mark for the first time in his career after finishing the 2022 campaign with exactly 99 receptions.Source: Indianapolis Colts
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion) has cleared the league's concussion protocol and is on track to return and play in Week 17 this Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. The writing was on the wall for Pittman to return this weekend following a one-game absence after he was cleared for contact and was a full-go in Thursday's practice session. The 26-year-old now needs to be reinserted into all starting fantasy lineups with championship trophies on the line in most leagues this week. Pittman ranks 17th among wideouts with 12.8 half-PPR fantasy points per game in 2023 and has a total of 99 receptions for 1,062 yards and four touchdowns this season in 14 games played. He's quarterback Gardner Minshew's top target and should be busy in Week 17 in his return to action.Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that running back Zack Moss (forearm) has been ruled out for Week 17 against the Las Vegas Raiders after he was downgraded to a non-participant in Friday's practice. Moss was limited in practices on Wednesday and Thursday before taking a step back on Friday and now he'll miss his second straight game. The 26-year-old's absence will be good news for Jonathan Taylor, who made his return in the Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons after missing three games following thumb surgery. Taylor should handle the majority of the backfield touches for the Colts this Sunday and should be considered a must-start RB1 in fantasy in a very good matchup at home against the Raiders. Expect Trey Sermon to back up Taylor.Source: FOX 59 - Mike Chappell

10 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion, shoulder) practiced again on Thursday, this time in a regular blue jersey, meaning he's been cleared for full contact. However, that doesn't mean that Pittman has cleared the league's concussion protocol and is a lock to play in Week 17 against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 26-year-old suffered a concussion in Week 15 and sat out of the Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Still, the fact he's practicing in full before Friday is a good sign that he'll eventually gain clearance to play this weekend. Pittman is Indy's clear top target when healthy and has 99 receptions for 1,062 yards and four touchdowns on 143 targets so far this year. If he's officially active in Week 17, he needs to be put back into all starting fantasy lineups with championship titles on the line.Source: The Athletic - James Boyd
10 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Zack Moss (forearm) was listed as a limited participant for the team's practice on Wednesday. Moss did not play in the Week 16 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but his participation in the first practice of the week is a sign that he could return to share the backfield with Jonathan Taylor this Sunday versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Moss' return would be bad news for Taylor's overall fantasy ceiling, but the expectation is that Taylor will remain the Colts' lead runner. Taylor returned from a thumb injury that kept him out of three games and had 18 carries for 43 yards (2.39 yards per attempt) while salvaging his fantasy day with his fifth trip to the end zone of the season. He couldn't haul in his only target through the air.Source: Indianapolis Colts
