6 months agoThe Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams unit was excellent for the majority of the afternoon as the Packers were victorious over the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. For the first time this season, the Packers did not record an interception or a sack in a game, but they forced three fumbles and recovered each of them. The Packers held the Cardinals to just 303 total yards and held most of the Cardinals' weapons in check. If you play in fantasy leagues that remove points for points allowed, the Packers gave up just 13 points. Coupled with the fumble recoveries, the Packers' effort should be solid for fantasy managers. Green Bay will host the Houston Texans in Week 7, where despite the Texans' offensive prowess, the Packers will be a low-end startable defense and special teams' unit.

Jayden Reed led the Packers with six targets and put a touchdown on the board as the Packers handled the Arizona Cardinals 34-13 in Week 6. Reed scored the first points of the game with five-yard touchdown reception from quarterback
Jordan Love. In the first half, Reed hurt his ankle, was deemed questionable to return but came back into the game. Reed caught all six of his targets for 28 yards plus a score and had a rushing attempt for no gain. While Reed didn't have an extraordinary day on the stat sheet, he saved his day with that first-quarter touchdown and should have a better day when the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7. Consider Reed a low-end WR1 for that matchup.

Christian Watson (ankle) was questionable on the injury report this week but played, led the Packers in receiving yards, and added a touchdown reception as the Packers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 34-13. Watson reeled in three receptions on four targets for a team-leading 68 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter where Watson dusted his defender and quarterback
Jordan Love put the ball on him for an easy touchdown. Watson has a lot of competition for targets and the production falls to different players each week. Because of that, that puts Watson into low-end flex territory for fantasy managers as the Packers host the Houston Texans in Week 7.

Romeo Doubs found the end zone twice in the Packers' 34-13 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. After a Week 5 where Doubs was suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team, Doubs put up a three-catch, 49-yard effort on four targets plus two touchdown catches from quarterback
Jordan Love in Week 6. Doubs' first score came in the second quarter with a 10-yard snag on the sideline where he dove to get the ball across the goal line. The second touchdown came on a pressured blitz where Love threw a pass on his back foot and Doubs adjusted to make the catch and get across the goal line. With the Packers staying home and hosting the Houston Texans in Week 7, consider Doubs a flex option for fantasy lineups.

Christian Watson and a second touchdown to Doubs in the third quarter, Love was on the money with his wide receivers all day and fantasy managers had to be smiling. With Love's quality outing, there's no doubt that he should be considered anything other than a must-start fantasy option as the Packers stay home to host the incoming Houston Texans in Week 7.

Josh Jacobs was solidly involved in the Packers' 34-13 victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jacobs took 18-of-29 running back carries on the afternoon for 62 rushing yards. He also caught all three of his targets on day for 29 yards, to account for the most total yards of any skill-position player on the team. All four offensive scores came via the pass from
Jordan Love, but the run was utilized heavily as the team had a total of 38 rushes to 32 pass attempts. Jacobs' workhorse role was slightly in question with
Emanuel Wilson's emergence but after Love returned, Wilson has merely spelled Jacobs. The Packers stay home in Week 7 to match up with the Houston Texans, where Jacobs will be a low-end RB1 for fantasy purposes.

Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) has officially been ruled out of the rest of the game against the Arizona Cardinals. Wicks saw three targets and registered one reception for nine yards before exiting the game.
Romeo Doubs,
Christian Watson, and
Jayden Reed should all see more opportunities while they have a touchdown each so far in this one. The severity of Wicks' injury will likely be known when they can run some more tests on Monday.

Christian Watson (ankle) is officially active in Week 6 on Sunday against the visiting Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field. Watson suffered a left high-ankle sprain in Week 4 and missed the Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams, but he'll surprisingly end up missing just one game with an injury that was expected to sideline him multiple contests. It's good news for the Packers, but fantasy managers may want to be wary of relying on him in starting lineups, especially with
Romeo Doubs also returning from a one-game suspension. Watson does have a touchdown this year, but he's also caught only five passes on eight targets for 80 yards in the four games he's played. The crowded nature of Green Bay's receiving corps makes all of their pass-catchers boom/bust WR4/flex plays outside of
Jayden Reed.

Emanuel Wilson has been quiet over the last few weeks. Wilson has been held to under 30 rushing yards in each of his last two games. The good news is that Wilson has seen six of more carries in each of the last three games. He continues to be the primary backup to
Josh Jacobs and that figures to remain the same for the Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Wilson hasn't done much to warrant starting in most fantasy formats, but is someone worth stashing as he'll be the next man up if Jacobs ever goes down.

6 months agoThe Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit could have their hands full with the Arizona Cardinals as they come into Lambeau Field in Week 6. Green Bay's D/ST has been a top-10 option in three of the last four weeks and could make that four out of five with a good performance. The Packers have averaged over four sacks in their last three games, plus at least one interception in each game. While they're not a true defense that stops everything and shuts down opposing offenses, they allow some opportunities for offenses to make plays, but that's where they become the most opportunistic. While the Packers aren't a lock-button option as a fantasy defense, they're still a solid start this week against the Cardinals.
