11 months agoArizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride has been the TE1 in fantasy since Week 8, boasting a 28.3% target share, a 24.5% air-yard share, 2.54 YPRR, and a 34% first-read share. Additionally, he ranks 12th in red zone targets among tight ends, establishing himself as an elite option. In Week 15, McBride further solidified his status, hauling in 10 of 11 targets for 102 yards, finishing as the Cardinals' leading receiver. Despite briefly exiting the game with a shoulder injury, McBride overcame it and posted his second-highest receiving total in 2023. With a recent line of 38/425/2 over the last five games, McBride remains a premium fantasy option. He should continue his strong performance against a Bears' defense that has struggled against tight ends, making him a must-start in Week 16.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoIn the Arizona Cardinals' Week 15 loss to the 49ers, wide receiver Rondale Moore caught 2-of-3 targets for a mere five yards and had one rushing attempt for three yards. Despite Arizona's receiving corps getting reinforcements post-bye week, Moore's role remained consistent. He was one of six Arizona players to see three targets, but his overall involvement was limited. Moore continues to be a big play-dependent WR4 from a fantasy perspective. The upcoming matchup against the Bears suggests that Moore may struggle to generate significant fantasy value on so few touches. Considering his limited recent production and potential challenges against Chicago, at this point fantasy managers can't consider Rondale anything better than a bench stash.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals rookie wideout Michael Wilson faced challenges in his Week 15 return from a neck injury, failing to record a reception in the Cardinals' loss to the 49ers. However, for Week 16 against Chicago, Wilson's outlook gains intrigue. With starter Marquise Brown likely sidelined due to a recurring heel injury, Wilson is poised to assume an increased role in the Cardinals' offense, potentially making him a fantasy option in this matchup. Wilson, though relatively quiet recently, has the opportunity to make a significant impact given the circumstances. Fantasy managers in need of a potential sleeper should consider Wilson for Week 16, anticipating an expanded role in the absence of Brown.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinal's running back Emari Demercado made a notable impact in Week 15, rushing four times for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' loss to the 49ers. His highlight moment came with a powerful 49-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, showcasing his explosive potential. Despite a quieter performance on his other touches, amassing 21 total yards, Demercado demonstrated his ability to make significant plays. As the primary backup behind James Conner, he shared snaps with Michael Carter but maintained relevance in the Cardinals' rushing attack. With the team accumulating 234 rushing yards against a formidable 49ers defense and teammate James Conner's propensity to injury, Demercado's role could grow in the final three contests of the season. However, as long as Conner is healthy Demercado remains off the fantasy radar.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals running back James Conner showcased his prowess in Week 15, rushing 14 times for 86 yards and a touchdown, coupled with three receptions for three yards in a loss to the 49ers. This follows his stellar performance against his former team, solidifying his status as a hot commodity heading into Week 16 against the Bears. Since his return from injury, Conner has maintained RB24 status, averaging 16.8 touches and 72.4 total yards per game. Despite ranking high in explosive run rate, missed tackles forced per attempt, and yards after contact per attempt this season, he faces a stout Bears defense. Chicago, since Week 10, has allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards, posing a formidable challenge for Conner. Fantasy managers should weigh his recent momentum against the Bears' defensive prowess in their decision-making, but he is currently tough to trust as anything more than an RB2/3.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's Week 15 performance presented a mixed bag as he completed 26 of 39 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, adding 49 rushing yards. Despite a brief absence due to a midsection hit, Murray's return was swift, with his surgically repaired knee unaffected. He struggled as a passer and his rushing prowess couldn't help salvage his fantasy output. In Week 16, facing a Bears' defense that has stifled opposing quarterbacks, Murray enters a challenging matchup. The Bears, ranking seventh in fewest yards per attempt, passing touchdowns, and CPOE allowed since Week 10, pose a formidable obstacle. Fantasy managers must weigh Murray's dual-threat ability against the Bears' defensive prowess when considering starting him in this critical Week 16 matchup. As such, he remains on the low end of the QB2 spectrum.Source: ESPN.COM
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch (shoulder) is officially questionable to play against the Chicago Bears in Week 16. Although he missed back-to-back practices earlier this week, it appears he at least has a chance to suit up on Sunday. Having Dortch available would be key for the Cardinals, who have already ruled out Marquise Brown (heel). If active, Dortch would be joined by Rondale Moore and Michael Wilson as Arizona's top healthy wide receivers. Breakout tight end Trey McBride will also have a huge role versus Chicago.Source: Arizona Cardinals
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) has been ruled out for Week 16 versus the Chicago Bears, head coach Jonathan Gannon announced. The injury limited Brown to just 32 percent of the Cardinals' offensive snaps last weekend, and he also missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. It's been a frustrating year for the 26-year-old who has just 51 catches, 574 yards, and four touchdowns through parts of 14 games. Rondale Moore, Greg Dortch, and Michael Wilson will all see increased opportunities with Brown sidelined this weekend, as will breakout tight end Trey McBride.Source: Tyler Drake

11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Greg Dortch (shoulder) was unable to practice with the team on Wednesday due to a shoulder injury. Dortch could be in danger of missing his second game of the year after apparently picking up a shoulder injury in the Week 15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Even if Dortch were to return to practice this week and play in Week 16 in a bad matchup against the Bears in Chicago, he wouldn't be a recommended flex play for fantasy managers. The 25-year-old didn't make his first catch until Week 9 and has 13 receptions (25 targets) for 139 yards and one touchdown on the year as a whole in 13 contests. With both Dortch and Marquise Brown (heel) up in the air for this weekend, Zach Pascal could join Rondale Moore and rookie Michael Wilson in three-receiver sets versus the Bears.Source: Arizona Sports - Tyler Drake
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) was not seen on the practice field in the portion open to the media on Wednesday. Brown was forced to exit early for the second straight game due to a heel injury in the Week 15 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, putting his status firmly up in the air for this Sunday's tilt against the Chicago Bears on the road. The 26-year-old had the Week 14 bye to heal up, but it didn't appear to really help him all that much after he was hurt again this past Sunday. Fantasy managers should consider Hollywood extremely volatile if he actually suits up this weekend. Brown has left early his last two games and hasn't caught a pass since Week 12. If he doesn't play in Week 16, expect Rondale Moore, rookie Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch to serve in three-receiver sets for Arizona.Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban
11 months agoArizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that wide receiver Marquise Brown's (heel) status for the Week 16 game against the Chicago Bears remains to be determined. However, potential bad weather in Chicago on Sunday won't play a factor in whether Brown suits up this weekend. The Cardinals are not in the playoff picture whatsoever, so there's no reason to rush the 26-year-old wideout back into the fold. Hollywood has been forced out early in each of the last two games and hasn't caught a pass since Week 12, so fantasy managers still playing for a title probably shouldn't plan on relying on his services in Week 16. If Brown doesn't play at all against the Bears, Rondale Moore, rookie Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch should operate in three-receiver sets, with tight end Trey McBride likely to lead the team in targets, catches and yards.Source: PHNX Sports - Bo Brack
11 months agoArizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that as of now, wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) is unlikely to be placed on Injured Reserve. Gannon also said the team will know more about the status of tight end Geoff Swaim (calf) by Wednesday. Brown injured his heel in the Week 13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and then had the Week 14 bye to rest. However, he was still questionable for the Week 15 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Hollywood suited up on Sunday but aggravated his heel injury, leaving his status for Week 16 against the Chicago Bears on Christmas Eve up in the air. Amidst his heel injury, the 26-year-old hasn't caught a pass since Week 12. Expect Brown to miss practice time this week, making him a pretty volatile fantasy asset during the semifinals in most leagues this week.Source: The Arizona Republic - Bob McManaman
11 months agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver Rondale Moore continued to disappoint in the team's 45-29 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Moore finished the Week 15 contest with two catches on three targets for only five yards while carrying the ball once for a pickup of three yards. The 23-year-old was unable to capitalize when rookie Michael Wilson (shoulder) missed three games from Weeks 11-13 and remained silent with Wilson returning on Sunday. Moore has just one touchdown on the year and now has just 11 receiving yards on three receptions in the last two games. Marquise Brown aggravated his heel injury in Week 15 and could be forced to miss time, but even then, Moore just hasn't done enough for fantasy managers to get excited about picking him up off the waiver wire.Source: ESPN.com
11 months agoArizona Cardinals rookie tight end Elijah Higgins caught 4-of-4 targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the team's 45-29 Week 15 loss to the 49ers. He found the end zone late in the game for his first career touchdown to make the final score a tad bit closer, but by then it was too little too late. A 6-foot-3, 235-pound rookie behemoth out of Stanford, Higgins is currently nestled behind starter Trey McBride on the team's depth chart. While he has excellent speed for his size and good hands, at this point he's nothing more than a handcuff for McBride and currently remains off the fantasy radar. Higgins and the rest of the Arizona offense will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 16.Source: ESPN.COM
