Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder
Corbin Carroll continues to rake as he launched two more homers in a 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday. Carroll went 2-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI, and a walk in Wednesday's victory. He launched his first home run of the night in the bottom of the first and belted another shot in the seventh frame to give Arizona the lead. This game brings the 24-year-old superstar to a .327 AVG and .1.097 OPS with 23 runs, nine homers, 22 RBI, and four steals on the season. He has been absolutely electric in the early going and is looking like a candidate for NL MVP. This year, taking a slight risk on him in the late-first or early-second rounds of drafts looks like a massive hit for fantasy managers.

New York Yankees starting pitcher
Carlos Rodon (3-3) had another brilliant outing on Wednesday, tossing seven innings of one-run ball in a 5-1 win over the Cleveland Guardians. He picked up his third win of the season. Rodon's only run allowed was unearned, and he allowed only four hits and two walks while striking out eight. After a dominant outing against the Tampa Bay Rays last time out, Rodon continued to sparkle in this one. He's racked up 17 strikeouts in 13 IP over his last two starts and has only allowed one (unearned) run on six total hits in those starts. He is a must-start in fantasy while pitching like this, and fantasy managers who roster him should be very encouraged by his past two starts. Rodon will look to keep things rolling in his next scheduled start on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles.

Minnesota Twins second baseman
Luke Keaschall continued his impressive start in the majors, going 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and a pair of stolen bases in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. The No. 57 prospect on MLB Pipeline now has five steals in five major league games and is hitting .353 (6-for-17) over that small sample. He has also been hitting third in the Twins' lineup for the last few games, so the team might be buying into his hot start. While he is unlikely to provide much power, the 22-year-old should provide plenty of speed and a good average. He is worth a pickup in standard-size leagues for those looking to improve in those areas.

Seattle Mariners shortstop
J.P. Crawford had a load lifted off his shoulders on Wednesday, as he went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, and a walk in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Boston Red Sox. Crawford blasted a three-run shot in the top of the fourth inning to give the Mariners a 4-0 lead. It was his first home run of the year. The 30-year-old added an RBI single in the seventh inning, giving him a total of four RBI on the night. It's been a tough go for the 30-year-old veteran, who now has a .246 AVG and .714 OPS, with 11 runs, one homer, 10 RBI, and one steal. While he has been heating up in the last week, he still doesn't need to be rostered outside of the deepest leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder
Teoscar Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Chicago Cubs. His home run was a two-run shot in the fifth inning that gave the Dodgers a lead. Hernandez had been slumping recently, with his OPS dropping from .945 on April 6 to .775 entering Wednesday. He also hadn't homered since April 9, so this game was a nice slump-buster. Overall, the 32-year-old is slashing .270/.290/.528 with six home runs, 22 RBI, 12 runs, and two stolen bases over 93 plate appearances. Even with the mini-slump, Hernandez has been a must-start player in fantasy this year, and there is no reason to think that will change anytime soon.

Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher
Andrew Heaney picked up the win and fired six scoreless innings against the Angels in a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. He struck out nine and only allowed one hit. This was his second straight scoreless outing, and his ERA on the season is now down to 1.72 with 31 strikeouts compared to only six walks in 31 ⅓ innings pitched. He looked truly dominant in this start, inducing 24 whiffs on the night for an elite 46% whiff rate. However, it's hard to fully trust Heaney going forward, no matter how good he looks in any given start. He's shown flashes like this in every one of his more recent seasons, and still finished with an ERA above 4.00 in 2024 and 2023.

Boston Red Sox first baseman
Triston Casas blasted a three-run home run and drew one walk in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to the Mariners. This was his second game in a row with a home run, and the slugger is finally showing signs of life after a very slow start to the season. He's batting just .171 on the year with three home runs, 10 RBI, and five runs through 23 games. Even his usually stellar walk rate is down to a middling 8.8%, with truly nothing going right for him over the first few weeks. He seems to be snapping out of it recently though, dating back to Saturday when he delivered a walk-off hit. It's too early to give up on Casas in fantasy, as he still possesses massive power upside.

Jordan Lawlar continued his strong start to the 2025 campaign on Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI for Triple-A Reno. It was his fourth multi-hit performance in the last five games and ninth of the year, boosting his season slash line to .333/.426/.632 with five home runs, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored, and eight steals. That type of multi-category production is what has been expected from him all along, so long as he can stay healthy. With health intact, fantasy managers who have the roster space should be stashing the 22-year-old in all formats, as he can be a solid fantasy contributor across the board whenever he gets the call, which should be within the next couple of weeks.

Chicago Cubs outfielder
Pete Crow-Armstrong filled up the stat sheet on Wednesday, going 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, one run, and two stolen bases in a 7-6 win over the Dodgers. The youngster has been on fire as of late, as this is his second straight three-hit game and his fifth in his last 13. He started off the season on a cold note, but is now slashing .294/.339/.549 with five home runs, 17 RBI, 21 runs, and 10 stolen bases through 26 games. He's already at half of his 2024 home run total that spanned 123 games, and it looks like the breakout that many hoped for has officially arrived.

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect
Yanquiel Fernandez went 3-for-6 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs scored on Wednesday for Triple-A Albuquerque. The two home runs put him atop the minor-league leaderboard with a total of seven home runs, tied with the Athletics'
Nick Kurtz, who is now in the major leagues. Fernandez has come alive over the last three games, going 7-for-13 (.538) with a double, four home runs, seven RBI, and five runs scored over that stretch. The 22-year-old owns a .254/.325/.592 slash line through 19 games, and with the Rockies currently with the worst record in baseball while averaging the third-lowest runs per game output, expect the team to see what they have in their sixth-ranked prospect at the major league level at some point this season, perhaps sooner than later if he continues to rake. The left-handed slugger has big power that should play well at Coors, so fantasy managers should take notice whenever he gets the call.

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher
Reese Olson earned his third win of the season on Wednesday, pitching 7 ⅓ scoreless innings while striking out seven. He allowed just two hits and one walk. This was his second straight scoreless outing, and it lowered his ERA to 3.29 on the year. It was especially encouraging to see him record 22 outs on the night, as this was his fourth start of his career that has lasted seven innings or longer. He'll look to carry this momentum into his next start, currently lined up against the Astros.

Tampa Bay Rays outfielder
Jake Mangum (groin) left Wednesday's game in the fourth inning due to left groin tightness, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. He left the game after pulling up while running to first base. The extent of the injury isn't yet known, but more information will be available after he's evaluated further. He's been great so far in the early going of 2025, slashing .338/.384/.397 through 21 games. He hasn't homered yet but is a major threat on the base paths with eight stolen bases. Hopefully the groin issue doesn't impact that speed moving forward.

Ryan Pressly (knee) had his right knee drained on Tuesday night, according to manager Craig Counsell. He hopes for him to be available on Friday. Pressly hasn't pitched since Sunday and was noticeably absent in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Dodgers, where
Porter Hodge picked up his first save of the season. Luckily, the injury doesn't appear to be serious if the Cubs are anticipating a return in a couple of days. He's been solid in the closer role in 2025, posting a 2.45 ERA with four saves through 11 appearances.

Kansas City Royals first base prospect
Jac Caglianone continued his hot hitting on Wednesday for Double-A Northwest Arkansas, going 2-for-4 with a double for the second straight game. It was also the left-handed hitter's fourth consecutive multi-hit performance, upping his season slash line to .300/.373/.529 with four home runs, 20 RBI, 14 runs scored, and a stolen base. The 2024 first-round draft pick should continue to push for a promotion to Triple-A, and if he proves he can hit there, then don't be surprised to see him get a taste of the big leagues by season's end. The Royals' top prospect (MLB No. 20) has big-time power, graded at 70 per MLB.com's scouting report, and if he doesn't have a fantasy impact in 2025, then 2026 should be the year. Redraft managers may have to wait, but dynasty managers should have the 6-foot-5 slugger stashed away already.
