Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes stood tall in Sunday's victory over the Nashville Predators. Dobes stopped 36 of the 37 shots he saw en route to picking up the victory. The Predators had more than double Montreal's shot total, but Dobes was able to keep the door shut. His lone blemish came in the opening frame when Steven Stamkos scored on a wrist shot. Dobes has not been given a start since March 27 (six games), as Sam Montembeault has been deployed as the workhorse. This was also a much-needed bounce-back outing for Dobes, as he posted a 4.24 GAA with a .862 save percentage over his last four appearances. During this stretch, he held a 0-2-1 record. Fantasy managers should only consider streaming Dobes in favorable matchups down the stretch.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Detroit Red Wings goaltender Cam Talbot led the way in their victory over the Florida Panthers on Sunday evening. In this contest, Talbot stopped 32 of the 33 shots he saw. The Panthers dominated the shot total, but Talbot was able to stand tall. His lone mistake came in the third period when Anton Lundell scored on a deflection. This outing has extended Talbot's recent strong stretch of performances. He has won each of his past two starts and holds a 3-1-1 record over his last five. In his last five outings, Talbot has posted a strong 1.72 GAA with a .945 save percentage. This is an excellent sign as he posted a high 4.11 GAA and an underwhelming .852 save percentage over his previous five games. He will look to stay hot on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight stopped 28 of the 29 shots he saw en route to defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins. Knight's lone blemish came in the third period when Pittsburgh winger Rickard Rakell beat him on the power play. This was a nice outing for Knight as he carried a four-game losing streak into this contest. Knight held a modest 3.51 GAA during this skid with a .860 save percentage. Since joining Chicago at the trade deadline, the former 13th overall pick has shown flashes at times, but plays behind a weak defensive unit, which does not provide him with the best situation. Through 35 total games this season, Knight has posted a 16-15-2 record with a 2.62 GAA and a .903 save percentage. He will look to defeat Pittsburgh again in a rematch on Tuesday.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Chicago Blackhawks right wing Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals during their 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday evening. Mikheyev did all of his offensive work in the final frame. He first scored during 5-on-5 play to extend their lead to two goals, which eventually served as the game-winner. Mikheyev would then score the empty-netter to seal the victory. Mikheyev has enjoyed a recent surge in offensive production, tallying eight points (five goals) over his last eight contests. This was a strong improvement compared to the three points (all goals) he scored over his previous eight games. Through 75 games this season, Mikheyev has found the back of the net 20 times and added 14 helpers. He remains a solid streaming option given his recent production and playing on the top offensive line with Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Buffalo Sabres center Tage Thompson scored a hat trick during their 6-3 victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday evening. Thompson scored his first goal in the second frame on a wrist shot. Later in the third, he would find the back of the net twice, including with the empty-netter to seal the victory. This impressive outing extended his current goal-scoring streak to four games. During this surge, Thompson has found the back of the net seven times. Over his last seven contests, Thompson has scored an impressive nine goals and added one helper. Despite Buffalo's struggles this season, the former 26th overall pick has enjoyed an impressive campaign, reaching the 40-goal mark for the second time in his career. He remains a must-start player through the remainder of the campaign.--Andy Smith - RotoBallerSource: NHL.com

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (ankle) is considered iffy for Monday's contest against the Seattle Kraken. Doughty missed the start of the season due to a broken ankle and continues to manage the injury. He sat out the end of Saturday's win against the Edmonton Oilers for precautionary reasons. Despite not being at 100 percent, Doughty has been impactful, recording 17 points (four goals, 13 assists), 42 shots, 43 blocks, and 26 hits in 28 games with a plus-nine rating. He has had five points (one goal, four assists) over his past four appearances. Jacob Moverare and Kyle Burroughs are the candidates to jump into the lineup if Doughty has to sit out Monday's game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Dennis Bernstein

Chicago Blackhawks left wing Lukas Reichel will be inserted back into the lineup for Sunday's tilt against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He sat out Friday's contest against the Washington Capitals as a healthy scratch. Pat Maroon will step aside to make room for Reichel, who has posted 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 66 games this season. Reichel's best performances came early in the season, and he has been in an offensive slump for quite some time. Over his last 14 appearances, Reichel has finished pointless 12 times. On Sunday, Reichel will skate on the fourth line with Joe Veleno and Nick Foligno.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Charlie Roumeliotis

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Philip Tomasino (upper body) will depart the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The team announced that Tomasino is being evaluated for an upper-body injury. The 23-year-old logged 7:09 of ice time in Saturday's win over the Dallas Stars, finishing a sixth consecutive game without any points. Since the Penguins acquired Tomasino from the Nashville Predators, he has recorded 10 goals and 20 points in 48 games. Joona Koppanen, who was brought up from the minors on Sunday, is set to replace Tomasino in the lineup. In 15 career games, Koppanen has had two points (one goal, one assist) and should not be viewed as a fantasy target.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Wes Crosby

Washington Capitals forward Aliaksei Protas (lower body) did not play in Sunday's contest against the New York Islanders and is considered week-to-week. He could miss the remainder of the regular season due to a lower-body injury sustained on Friday night in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Protas has taken a huge step forward in 2024-25, scoring 30 goals and 66 points across 76 games. In Protas' absence, Connor McMichael returned to a top-six role Sunday afternoon, with Anthony Beauvillier taking the open spot in the lineup. McMichael had a quiet outing with no points and one shot on goal over 17:39 of play. He has enjoyed a career year with 55 points (25 goals, 30 assists) in 77 games, but McMichael is currently on a streak of one point in his last seven games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Florida Panthers center Sam Bennett (rest) will be held out of action on Sunday against the Detroit Red Wings. Panthers head coach Paul Maurice has said that Bennett and Sam Reinhart (rest) will miss Sunday's game for some "healing time." With only a couple of weeks left of the regular season, the Panthers need to get players healthy for the playoffs. Bennett has enjoyed a career year in 2024-25 with 50 points (25 goals, 25 assists) in 74 games. Rasmus Asplund and Jesse Puljujarvi have been called up from the AHL to fill in for Bennett and Reinhart on Sunday. Meanwhile, players such as Anton Lundell, Evan Rodrigues, and Carter Verhaeghe are set for more prominent roles.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Jameson Olive

Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart (rest) will not be in the lineup on Sunday against the Detroit Red Wings. The Panthers have locked up a playoff berth, and head coach Paul Maurice has decided to give Reinhart some "healing time" ahead of the postseason. Reinhart has been ever-present for the Panthers since the start of the 2023-24 campaign. He has averaged slightly over a point per game this season, notching 37 goals and 41 assists in 76 contests. Sam Bennett (rest) will also be absent from the lineup, which will allow Rasmus Asplund and Jesse Puljujarvi to soak up some action. Both players have done well in the minors but have struggled to make an impact in the big league.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: Jameson Olive

Washington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin became the NHL's all-time leading goal-scorer on Sunday with his 895th career goal in a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders. The record-breaking goal came in the second period during a power-play situation. Ovechkin made history in his 1,487th career regular-season game, breaking a tie at the top of the goals chart with Wayne Gretzky, who held the goals record for 31 years. Teams have struggled to contain Ovechkin all year, as the Capitals captain now boasts 42 goals and 69 points in 61 games for the season. The Russian superstar has scored in five consecutive games, putting him only two away from matching his best-ever goal streak, which Ovechkin achieved during his rookie campaign in 2005-06.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas amassed four points as the team set a new franchise record with a 12th consecutive win on Saturday night, beating the Colorado Avalanche on home ice 5-4. Thomas tallied three assists as the Blues rushed to a 4-0 lead and ended up with the game-winning marker after netting an empty-net goal with 31 seconds left in regulation. The Blues look unbeatable at the moment, and Thomas has been incredible during the team's winning streak. He has collected 23 points (four goals, 19 assists) over the past 12 games. During the historic run, Thomas has finished without any points only once. The scoring surge has given Thomas a chance to post a second consecutive 80-point campaign. Over 66 appearances, he has managed 21 goals and 54 assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Boston Bruins right wing David Pastrnak was in beast mode against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, racking up a season-high five points in a 5-1 victory. He recorded his first career natural hat trick and had two assists. Morgan Geekie also picked up five points (one goal, four assists) as the Bruins registered their first victory in 11 games. Pastrnak and Geekie became the fourth pair of teammates in the past 20 years to each factor on five straight team goals in a single game. The Bruins have been awful this season, but Pastrnak has still enjoyed a prolific campaign and is on track to register his third consecutive 100-point year. He has totaled 40 goals and 54 assists in 77 appearances, entering Sunday's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres with a five-game point streak.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

New Jersey Devils goaltender Jacob Markstrom produced a special shutout in Saturday's 4-0 victory over the New York Rangers. He became only the second netminder in franchise history with multiple shutouts against the Rangers in a single season, joining Martin Brodeur. The Rangers failed to beat Markstrom with 29 shots on the net. New Jersey's No. 1 secured his fourth consecutive victory to improve to 26-14-6 for the season. He has totaled four shutouts while registering a 2.43 goals-against average with a .903 save percentage. Markstrom will look to post his second five-game winning streak of the season on Tuesday when the Devils face the struggling Boston Bruins.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
