The fight was a rematch of their first fight, which ended after an accidental eye poke. It wasn't the most exciting fight but it worked nonetheless for Muhammad, as he took Edwards down on nine times. In 25 minutes, Muhammad landed 68 significant strikes. Rodrigues kept up the relentless pressure over all three rounds, punishing Duncan in the standup game and on the ground. In 15 minutes of action, Rodrigues landed four takedowns and 45 significant strikes. Coming in off a victory over Brad Tavares, Rodrigues has now won three straight fights. 4 months agoArnold Allen returned to the win column with a unanimous decision victory over Giga Chikadze at UFC 304. Allen was under some significant pressure heading into UFC 304 as he was on a two-fight skid, losing his last two bouts to Max Holloway and Movsar Evloev. While he had a bit of a rough start to the night, Allen got into his rhythm and just kept on pressuring Chikadze throughout the fight and Chikadze just didn't have the answer for Allen's gameplan. In 15 minutes of action, Allen landed 61 significant strikes compared to Chikadze who landed 38. With the win, Allen improved to 20-3 as a pro.Source: UFC

Chikadze was last seen in action at the UFC Fight Night 225, where he defeated Alex Caceres via unanimous decision and returned to the win column. 4 months agoChristian Leroy Duncan suffered a lopsided decision loss to Gregory Rodrigues at UFC 304 on Saturday in Manchester, England. Duncan entered the fight as the favorite, but he struggled on the ground, as he was taken down one time in the first round but was controlled for over three minutes. Duncan ended up being taken down four times and was controlled for 8:20 of the 15 minutes as he couldn't do anything on the ground and suffered a lopsided decision loss. With the loss, Duncan is now 3-2 in the UFC and will need to win his next two or three in a row to get a shot a ranked opponent.Source: UFC
4 months agoBobby Green suffered a first-round submission loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 304 in Manchester, England on Saturday. Green was taking on the fan-favorite fighter in his home country but was the favorite. Green shot in for a takedown, but Pimblett reversed it and put him into a tight triangle choke. 'King' ended up not tapping as he went out cold from the choke. With the loss, Green fell to 13-11-1 and one NC in the UFC and will likely be out of the lightweight rankings.Source: UFC
4 months agoPaddy Pimblett (22-3) picked up a first-round submission win over Bobby Green on the main card of UFC 304 on Saturday. Pimblett entered the fight as a slight underdog, but after Green shot for a takedown, he reversed it and put Green into a triangle choke. Pimblett had the choke in tight and it put Green out cold as the ref had to get Pimblett to let go. With the win, Pimblett is now 6-0 in the UFC and will be ranked at lightweight and should get a top-10 opponent next time out.Source: UFC
4 months agoCurtis Blaydes suffered a first-round knockout loss to Tom Aspinall in the co-main event of UFC 304 on Saturday. Blaydes was going to England to fight the Brit for the interim heavyweight title, and early on, Blaydes landed a good shot that caught the attention of Aspinall. However, Blaydes got caught by a jab that dropped him and Aspinall landed heavy ground strikes to stop the fight just a minute in. With the loss, Blaydes is now 13-5 and one NC in the UFC and has been knocked out in all five of his losses.Source: UFC
4 months agoTom Aspinall scored a first-round knockout win over Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event of UFC 304 on Saturday in England. Aspinall was defending his interim heavyweight title, and to begin the fight, the two traded shots but Aspinall landed a a jab that dropped Blaydes and he finished him off with ground strikes, exactly one minute into the fight. It was a statement win for Aspinall who improved to 8-1 in the UFC and avenged the loss to Blaydes, which was a fight that ended due to an injury.
