The hot spell has made Marchenko Columbus' highest-scoring forward with 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) in 22 games. Another productive outing could be on the cards for Marchenko on Sunday as the Blue Jackets close out the week against the last-placed Blackhawks.Source: ESPN
3 weeks agoNew York Islanders left wing Anders Lee enjoyed his 100th career multi-point game on Friday, notching a goal and two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss to Washington. The veteran forward became the 17th player in franchise history with at least 100 multi-point games for the team. Five of those efforts have come in 2024-25 as Lee has blown hot and cold. After collecting 10 points in his first seven November outings, he's added just four more to his tally. However, considering Lee mustered only 37 points last season, fantasy managers can be happy with his production. Lee is tied for the second-most points on the Islanders squad with 17 (nine goals, eight assists) in 24 games.Source: ESPN

He had two helpers on the power play. McMichael has mostly impressed with his goal-scoring in 2024-25, lighting the lamp 13 times, but he's now also in double figures for assists. Through 23 outings, the young forward averages a point per game for the season, despite having been on a cold stretch lately. McMichael will now look to start a point streak in Saturday's clash against New Jersey. He's had a lot of success against the Devils all year, posting two goals and four points in three meetings.Source: ESPN
3 weeks agoNew Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Tatar exited Friday's 5-4 victory over Detroit with a lower-body injury. Tatar played only three minutes in the contest but managed to grab a power-play assist before getting hurt. That's now six assists and nine points in 26 games for him this season. With New Jersey back in action on Saturday night against Washington, Tatar might have to sit out his first game of the campaign. The Slovakian forward doesn't play a big role for New Jersey, averaging 10:46 of ice time on the fourth line. Shane Bowers is in line to fill in for Tatar if he can't play on Saturday.Source: Kristy Flannery
3 weeks agoColorado Avalanche defenseman Josh Manson suffered an upper-body injury in Friday's 5-3 loss at Dallas. He left the contest in the second period after crashing into the boards. Manson's night was over following only 10 shifts, during which he logged 7:13 of action. He's now in danger of missing his first game of the campaign, with Colorado returning to the ice Saturday night against Edmonton. Manson has recorded six points (one goal, five assists) in 24 appearances with 27 shots, 34 blocks, and a team-high 51 hits. The Danish forward has so far player in every game during a highly productive season, which has seen Ehlers record nine goals and 25 points in 24 games. Alex Iafallo received an uptick in minutes on Friday following Ehlers' exit and might have a larger role again in Sunday's meeting with Dallas.Source: Sportsnet

In this game, Bouchard also tallied two shots on goal, one block and a minus-three rating. After a three-game scoreless drought, Bouchard has gone on to tally seven points over his previous four contests. Overall, the 25-year-old has tallied 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) through 23 games. Fantasy managers should continue to view Bouchard as an elite scoring defenseman given his role in the top Edmonton power play.Source: NHL.com
3 weeks agoColorado Avalanche right wing Mikko Rantanen scored his 15th goal of the season and tacked on an assist during their loss to the Dallas Stars on Friday evening. Portillo had to step off the rink for a few minutes after losing his skate blade, which allowed Dave Rittich to stop two shots. Portillo's lone blemish came in the second frame on a goal by Ducks center Ryan Strome. Anaheim had a significant advantage in the shot total, but Portillo was able to lead the way for Los Angeles. The 24-year-old posted a .906% SV and 2.68 GAA through six games with the AHL earlier this season. With Darcy Kuemper (undisclosed) still on the injured list, Portillo could be a solid streaming option for the foreseeable future, given his stellar debut.Source: NHL.com
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced en route to defeating the Boston Bruins on Friday evening. This was Jarry's best outing of the campaign and his first time allowing just one goal. His lone mistake came in the opening minutes on a wrist shot from Bruins center Charlie Coyle. Jarry was then sharp for the remainder of the evening and led the way as the Penguins captured victory in a row. Entering this game, Jarry carried a rough 3.72 GAA and .885 SV%. While fantasy managers in shallow formats should still start Jarry with caution, this could be a nice building-off point for the 29-year-old. Fantasy managers should expect Alex Nedeljkovic to get the start on Saturday evening, setting Jarry up to face the Florida Panthers on Tuesday evening.Source: NHL.com
3 weeks agoChicago Blackhawks goaltender Laurent Brossoit (knee) is expected to miss at least six further weeks of action. He underwent a follow-up arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Tuesday. Due to knee trouble, Brossoit has yet to play this season. Brossoit has proven himself as one of the best backups in the league during his career and was set to battle for a starting job in Chicago after the Blackhawks signed him to a two-year, $6.6 million deal as a free agent in the summer. Petr Mrazek has filled the position during Brossoit's absence, going 7-8-1 with a 2.64 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.Source: Ben Pope

Through 15 outings this season, the 24-year-old has collected only one assist with 15 shots on the offensive end, averaging less than 14 minutes of action a night. He should remain a free agent in fantasy leagues.Source: NHL.com
3 weeks agoDallas Stars forward Logan Stankoven (undisclosed) will come out of the lineup for Friday's meeting with Colorado. He's battling an undisclosed injury and will sit out his first game of the season. Offensively, Stankoven has gone missing in the most recent games, but the 2024-25 campaign has been a good one for him overall. The 21-year-old has recorded 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 21 appearances, sitting second in scoring among first-year players, behind Philadelphia's Matvei Michkov (17). Evgenii Dadonov will replace Stankoven on the third line.
