9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring), Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) were all listed as limited in the team's walkthrough practice estimation on Wednesday. It's the first time that Watson has been listed as limited in a practice since he injured his hamstring all the way back in Week 13. It doesn't necessarily mean the 24-year-old will return for a must-win Week 18 game against the Chicago Bears, but he's making good progress. Even if Watson does get the green light this Sunday, he'll be a volatile fantasy option in DFS lineups in a tough matchup, especially if both Reed and Wicks are also active. With Watson and Wicks out in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings, Reed went off for six catches, 89 yards and two touchdowns. Reed has been a touchdown machine in the second half of his rookie campaign with seven total scores in his last seven games.Source: Packers.com
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) was listed as a non-participant at the team's walkthrough session on Wednesday. Dillon suffered a broken right thumb in Week 14 and sat out in Week 15 before returning in Week 16. He suffered a stinger in the Sunday night win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The Packers are playing in a must-win Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears this weekend, so if the 25-year-old can return to practice in the next two days, he'll be in the Packers' backfield sharing touches with Aaron Jones. When Jones has been healthy, Dillon has been a lackluster RB3/flex in deep fantasy leagues, which will make him a pretty low-upside DFS play if he's active this Sunday. If he cannot play, Patrick Taylor would serve as Jones' backup.Source: Packers.com

9 months agoGreen Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed (ribs), who left the Sunday night win over the Minnesota Vikings early after two impressive touchdowns, will have further tests on his injured ribs on Monday after X-rays came back negative Sunday night, according to sources. Reed is pretty sore, and it's safe to say his status for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Chicago Bears is in doubt. In addition to his two touchdowns, the 23-year-old caught six passes for 89 yards before leaving the game and not returning. The second-rounder had an expanded role in the offense with both Christian Watson (hamstring) and fellow rookie Dontayvion Wicks (ankle, chest) out, and he did not disappoint. Reed now has 10 total touchdowns (eight receiving, two rushing) in his first 15 NFL games. Depending on the statuses of Reed, Watson and Wicks, the Packers' receiving corps could be dangerously thin in a huge Week 18 matchup.Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft caught all six of his targets for 48 yards during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The six receptions were a season-high for the rookie and tied for the team lead on Sunday night. Since Week 13, Kraft has seen six targets in all but one game and remains a staple of the Green Bay passing attack. Luke Musgrave (kidney) has been participating in practice on a limited basis, but there is a good chance he will be limited when he returns due to the nature of his injury. Kraft will be on the streaming radar next week against Chicago if Musgrave misses another week, but he would be a risky option if the former starter makes his return.Source: ESPN
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs caught three of six targets for 28 yards during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The second-year receiver crashed back to earth after posting 79 yards and a touchdown last week, being outdone by Jayden Reed (chest), who exited early, practice squad receiver Bo Melton, and tight end Tucker Kraft. The trend of Doubs being completely fantasy irrelevant without a touchdown continued. Even with multiple starters out to start the game and even more exiting, the 23-year-old struggled to get anything going. Doubs will be in line to start again next week, but fantasy managers will find it tough to trust him in the final game of the regular season against Chicago.Source: ESPN
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton caught six of nine targets for 105 yards and a touchdown during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The second-year receiver was called up from the practice squad for the second week in a row with Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) ruled out, and he delivered with the first 100-yard receiving performance by a Packer this season. Jayden Reed (chest) was on a tear, scoring twice before exiting in the second quarter. Melton's number was then called multiple times, scoring a nine-yard touchdown late in the third quarter and racking up over 50 yards in the final quarter. With Reed's status for Week 18 now up in the air and no timetable for Watson or Wicks to return, expect Melton to be called up once again against Chicago.Source: ESPN
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (chest) exited Sunday's game before the second half with a chest injury and was later ruled out of the contest. The rookie came into the week with a chest injury and was later reported to have gotten a CT scan to evaluate the damage. Reed was on an absolute tear before exiting, catching six of eight targets for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, it sounds like the 23-year-old could miss next week's season finale against the Chicago Bears and may be in danger of missing the Wild Card round of the playoffs if the Packers do indeed make it in. Romeo Doubs and Bo Melton will take over as the one-two punch unless Christian Watson (hamstring) or Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) is able to return for Week 18.Source: Matt Schneidman On X
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (shoulder) exited the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the third quarter with a stinger. The 25-year-old was listed as questionable to return but never came back to the game. Dillon had dealt with a thumb injury over the past few weeks. Since the return of Aaron Jones, the Packers' No. 2 back has done little to nothing for fantasy purposes, and last night was no exception. Before exiting, Dillon took seven carries for just 27 yards and was out-gained by No. 3 back Patrick Taylor. There is a good chance Dillon will sit out next week, meaning those playing their title games next week will be without him. However, he would not have been a recommended option against a stiff Chicago run defense. Keep an eye on this week's practice reports for a better indication of how long Dillon will be out.Source: Matt Schneidman On X
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones took 20 carries for 120 yards and caught his lone target for a 10-yard gain during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The veteran exited the game briefly Sunday night but returned the next drive. Jones gained at least 120 yards on the ground for the second straight week but was barely involved in the passing game. However, the Packers, who have been cautious with Jones due to multiple lower body injuries, seem to have unleashed the 29-year-old at just the right time. The Packers playoff hopes are alive and well heading into the final game of the regular season. Next week, those playing in their title games can count on Jones as a borderline RB1 against a stiff Chicago run defense.Source: ESPN
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love completed 24 of 33 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns, adding two carries for two yards during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The 25-year-old now has 30 passing touchdowns this season and has scored three total touchdowns in six games. Love has done this with multiple receiving options, missing games, or exiting early, and Sunday night was no different, with Jayden Reed (chest) exiting after scoring two touchdowns. The Packers playoff hopes are alive and well after this victory, meaning those who are playing their fantasy football title game next week will have Love available. He will be a top-12 option against their division rival, the Chicago Bears.Source: ESPN
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) won't play on Sunday night versus the Vikings. The wideout was listed as doubtful after not practicing during the week, so he'll now miss his fourth consecutive contest. The Packers also won't have Dontayvion Wicks (chest), meaning Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed (toe) should be the primary receiving options for Jordan Love in the must-win matchup.Source: Matthew Berry
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (chest) won't play on Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings. The 22-year-old was limited in practice on Friday, resulting in a questionable tag heading into the contest. While there appeared to be a chance Wicks would be out there in Week 17, he'll have to sit this one out. The Packers also won't have Christian Watson (hamstring), meaning Jayden Reed (toe), who is active, and Romeo Doubs should be Jordan Love's primary receiving options.Source: Matthew Berry
9 months agoThe Green Bay Packers defense will now be without cornerback Eric Stokes (hamstring) for their Week 17 contest on Sunday night against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Stokes was added to the injury report with a hamstring injury and was immediately ruled out, so he could also be looking at another absence in the regular season finale in Week 18 versus the Chicago Bears on Jan. 7. The Packers defense isn't a recommended streaming option this weekend during championship week in fantasy, especially since they'll be without Stokes and cornerback Jaire Alexander. In addition to Stokes and Alexander, linebacker De'Vondre Campbell (neck) is doubtful, while cornerback Robert Rochell (neck), safety Darnell Savage (shoulder) and defensive tackle Tedarrell Slaton (foot, knee) are questionable for Sunday's game.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
9 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft will go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17. The rookie has filled in for starter Luke Musgrave (kidney), who is again listed as doubtful for this weekend. Wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) looks to be missing his fourth game in a row after being listed as doubtful, while fellow rookie Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) is questionable after not practicing this week. That leaves Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Kraft to lead the way against the Vikings' pass defense. Kraft has seen at least six targets in three of the past four games and will be on the streaming radar for those in need this weekend. The Vikings are solid against opposing tight ends, but the matchup should not scare fantasy managers away.Source: RotoBaller
