7 days agoGolden State Warriors guard Moses Moody (knee) is one of several members of the Warriors' backcourt rotation uncertain for their Thursday night matchup with the Pistons. Moody is joined on the injury report by Stephen Curry (knee) and Dennis Schroder (hip), who like Moody are questionable while Brandin Podziemski (abdomen) will miss a sixth straight game. Moody's role has been fairly limited this season, and he is averaging just 15.6 minutes per game in his 30 appearances while chipping in 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.5 three-pointers per game. Moody did have a good showing with 13 points in 26 minutes on Sunday while stepping into a larger role. If Schroder and Curry are ruled out, Moody would be a very interesting streamer and DFS play in a larger role if he can play through his own questionable tag.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoOrlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs went through further evaluation by the team, and they confirmed that he is dealing with a low back strain. Suggs has missed Orlando's last two games and was already ruled out for Thursday's matchup. He'll be sidelined indefinitely while undergoing treatment, and how he responds to that treatment will ultimately determine how many games he misses. He seems very unlikely to play Friday against the Bucks when the Magic finish their back-to-back. While he is out, Cole Anthony will likely continue to start at point guard for the Magic, with Anthony Black and Cory Joseph getting more minutes as well.Source: Orlando Magic PR
7 days agoOrlando Magic center Moritz Wagner underwent successful surgery on Wednesday, January 8 to repair the torn ACL in his left knee that he sustained December 21 against the Heat. The team announced that Wagner will miss the rest of the year. The 27-year-old is under contract with the Magic for the 2025-26 season and will likely continue to play alongside his younger brother, Franz Wagner. In his 30 games before getting hurt, Wagner averaged 18.8 minutes and scored a career-high 12.9 points per game to go with 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.8 steals per contest. Orlando will hope he can contribute to the team's frontcourt rotation next season after recovering from this surgery.Source: Magic PR
7 days agoPhoenix Suns power forward Royce O'Neale (ankle) will be sidelined again on Thursday when the Suns host the Atlanta Hawks. O'Neale suffered a left ankle sprain in a December 28 loss to Golden State Warriors. He's scheduled for a re-evaluation of his injured ankle sometime this week. O'Neale played well in December before injuring his ankle, averaging 11.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.1 three-pointers and 2.8 assists in 28.4 minutes. Ryan Dunn and Josh Okogie have been seeing some extra playing time while O'Neale is sidelined.Source: NBA
7 days agoHouston Rockets power forward Tari Eason (lower leg) is considered doubtful for Thursday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Tuesday's injury report listed Eason as doubtful with both the left-leg issue and an illness, while Thursday's report mentions only the leg. Eason last played on Saturday, December 14, in an Emirates NBA Cup 2024 semifinal loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since then, Eason has missed 10 straight games. Eason had surgery on the leg last March. Cam Whitmore and Jae'Sean Tate have taken on more shifts in the rotation during Eason's absence. The Rockets say they are continuing to evaluate him on a day-to-day basis.Source: NBA
7 days agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward/center Santi Aldama (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Houston Rockets. Aldama is currently dealing with a left ankle sprain and has been sidelined for a while, but the Grizzlies have upgraded him to questionable for their game on Thursday. The injury has kept Aldama off the court since December 26 but it looks like he has a decent chance of returning to the court on Thursday. Otherwise, his next chance to play would be Saturday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. If he's out against the Houston Rockets, it will mean more work for Jaylen Wells and Brandon Clarke.Source: NBA
7 days agoUtah Jazz guard Keyonte George (heel) will not be available for Thursday's clash against Miami. He'll be out for a third straight game due to inflammation in his left heel. The Jazz backcourt is also without Jordan Clarkson (foot), opening up a lot of additional playing time for the likes of Collin Sexton and Isaiah Collier. Even veteran Patty Mills has entered the rotation and produced a decent 13-point, three-steal performance on Monday against Atlanta.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoUtah Jazz forward/center John Collins (hip) will not suit up against Miami on Thursday. He has appeared in only one of the last eight games and will miss another due to a hip issue. Collins' absence will likely allow Johnny Juzang to continue his run as a starter. The sweet-shooting UCLA product has averaged 11.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, with 2.3 made three-pointers as a starter. Collins will get his next chance to return on Saturday versus Phoenix.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoAtlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (face) is questionable for Thursday's contest against Phoenix. He has sustained a facial contusion and may have to exit the lineup just five games after returning from a knee injury. Clint Capela will need to be a bit extra if Okongwu misses time, with Dominick Barlow getting a chance to operate as the backup center. Thursday's matchup should be productive for Atlanta's centers, as only 10 teams give up more fantasy points to opposing fives than the Suns.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) continues to carry a probable tag on the injury report ahead of Thursday's encounter with Phoenix. It's safe to assume he will be good to go for his ninth consecutive appearance. Young is fresh off his third 20-20 game of the season, which included an incredible half-court game-winning shot against Utah. The 2024-25 campaign has been going really well for Young, who opened 2025 with a pair of 30-point outings and has averaged 26.8 points and 13.0 assists since the turn of the year.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoMemphis Grizzlies forward/center Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) has picked up a questionable tag ahead of Thursday's matchup against Houston. He is nursing thigh soreness and might be out of action for the first time since missing the first two games of the season. Jay Huff was promoted to the starting unit for the second half against Dallas on Monday, and Jackson Jr.'s absence could give him further momentum. Brandon Clarke and Jake LaRavia might also benefit, while Santi Aldama (ankle) is on the comeback trail and is definitely a candidate to put in a big shift on the frontcourt.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoMemphis Grizzlies guard/forward Desmond Bane (ankle) carries a questionable tag ahead of Thursday's contest against Houston. An ankle injury might keep him out of action for a second consecutive game. The Grizzlies are once again battling injuries in 2024-25, giving players like Scotty Pippen Jr., Luke Kennard, and Jaylen Wells extra responsibilities. All three players have performed well recently, although Wells has struggled with consistency. Jaren Jackson Jr. (thigh) might also drop out of the lineup on Thursday, opening up even more minutes in the rotation.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday's matchup against Houston. He may be sidelined for a sixth straight game due to a shoulder injury. Scotty Pippen Jr. will continue to have additional fantasy value until Morant returns. The 24-year-old has started each of the last five games without Morant, averaging 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.0 steals. Meanwhile, players like Desmond Bane (ankle) and Jaylen Wells are getting more looks offensively.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoGolden State Warriors forward/center Draymond Green (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit. The Warriors begin a back-to-back, with a trip to Indianapolis scheduled for Friday, and it looks like Green will sit out at least one of the contests. Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) has previously benefited from Green's absence but is currently out, so players like Kyle Anderson and Trayce Jackson-Davis get a chance to log more action. With additional playing time, Anderson can certainly do some damage with his all-around skills, while Jackson-Davis is a double-double threat if he gets enough time on the court.Source: NBA Injury Report
7 days agoGolden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) is questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit. He's dealing with inflammation in his left knee and may be out for the second time in four games. Curry has sat out a game in each of the last three back-to-back situations for the Warriors, so we likely won't see him on Thursday or in Friday's matchup against Indiana. Dennis Schroder's (hip) fantasy stock would receive a boost with Curry's absence, but he is also listed as questionable for Thursday.Source: NBA Injury Report
