8 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers during the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The rookie made a splash last week on a wide-open catch and run for a score. The catch made headlines all week because of how open Musgrave was, but don't expect the 49ers to leave him all alone in the Divisional Round. San Francisco ranked in the top 10 in points allowed to tight ends this past regular season, but there is a silver lining. The 49ers allowed the 11th-most receptions to the position, meaning Musgrave has a shot at a decent game if he can see enough targets. The Packers receiver room is completely healthy, so there is more competition for targets, but at his price in DFS, Musgrave is not a complete avoid this weekend.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The rookie scored the first passing touchdown of the day last week against the Dallas Cowboys but ended with only two receptions for 25 yards. With all of the Packers' pass catchers back healthy, Wicks' role has diminished. Even in a positive matchup, the 22-year-old is a risky dart throw due to the sheer number of weapons at the Packers' disposal. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs are all better options in DFS, but Wicks will be in play for the bargain hunters trying to pick sneaky options in tournaments.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The second-year receiver had a career outing last week against the Dallas Cowboys, gaining 151 yards on six receptions and scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter to put any hopes of a comeback out of reach. The Packers had all of their receivers back healthy for the first time in a while last week, but it seemed to help Doubs more than hinder him. However, both Christian Watson and Jayden Reed played fewer than 50% of the snaps and should see their roles increase this weekend. Doubs remains a flex option in DFS, but managers should not expect the same outcome as last week with all the mouths that need to be fed in Green Bay.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The rookie led the Packers in receiving yards this season and was a late-season fantasy breakout, but failed to catch any of his three targets last week and played only 26 of the 56 offensive snaps. This was likely due to recovering from the chest injury that had given him problems toward the end of the regular season. All of the Packers receivers are healthy heading into the weekend, meaning the target share is going to be spread around even more by quarterback Jordan Love. With that said Reed has been a massive part of the Packers' success over the back half of the season and remains a flex option in DFS formats this weekend.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The second-year receiver was limited in practice this week due to a lingering hamstring injury but was left off the final injury report. Last week marked Watson's first game since Week 13, but he caught just one pass for nine yards and played only 41% of the snaps. His role should increase this week as he is another week removed from the injury that cost him the end of the regular season. San Francisco has struggled at times to stop wide receivers this past season and is tied for the ninth-most touchdowns allowed in the position. Watson is an incredibly risky play, but knowing he can have a multi-touchdown game at any time, he could be worth the price as a flex in DFS formats.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The 29-year-old opened the week as a limited practice participant due to finger and knee injuries but was left off of the final injury report. Jones has been on a roll the past month, rushing for over 100 yards in the past four games. AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) has been out of action since the regular season finale, but his potential return this week should not bring down Jones' value in DFS. The Packers will need to continue to feed him the rock to have a chance at keeping the stellar San Francisco offense off the field Saturday, so expect another 20-plus touch game from the veteran. Jones is a great DFS option this weekend.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will go on the road to take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday. The 25-year-old was steller against the Cowboys last week, putting up 272 yards and three touchdowns against a team that was undefeated at home in 15 straight games. Love now heads into San Francisco to face a defense that has given up the eighth-fewest total fantasy points to quarterbacks this past regular season. Dallas was ranked ninth, so there is no reason that Love can't succeed for fantasy managers looking to take the shot on him in DFS lineups. All of the first-year starters' skill position players are healthy outside of AJ Dillon (neck, thumb), who is listed as questionable. Love will be a popular option in DFS tournaments due to his late-season success.Source: RotoBaller
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (ankle) is listed as questionable on the final injury report for the Divisional Round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday. Alexander hurt his ankle during practice last week but managed to play in the wild-card upset against the Dallas Cowboys, but he aggravated his ankle injury in that game and might have to miss this weekend's game as a result. The 26-year-old had an interception before reinjuring his ankle last weekend and is a big part of Green Bay's secondary, so not having him available in the Division Round against a 49ers offense with tons of weapons would be a big loss. With or without Alexander, it's going to be difficult for the Packers' defense to slow down the top-seeded team in the NFC on the road.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) is listed as questionable to play on Saturday in the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers. Dillon actually practiced for the first time on Thursday since suffering a neck stinger in Week 17, but it doesn't mean the 25-year-old will be active as the Packers look to pull off a second straight huge upset, this time over the NFC's top-seeded 49ers. Even if Dillon is active on Saturday, he's most likely to see very few touches behind Aaron Jones, who has now gone over 100 yards rushing in four straight games. If Dillon misses his third straight game, Emanuel Wilson and Patrick Taylor will continue chipping in to spell Jones in Green Bay's backfield. Those playing DFS in the Divisional Round should be looking to avoid Dillon if he's active.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (chest) were both listed as limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Wednesday. Watson missed the final games of the regular season but returned for the wild-card win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and played just 41 percent of the offensive snaps while catching one pass for a nine-yard gain. The 24-year-old should see the field more on Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers, but it's a bad matchup and Green Bay's impressive receiver depth is going to make it difficult for Watson to make a difference for fantasy managers. Reed, meanwhile, played just 26 of 56 snaps against Dallas and didn't catch any of his three targets. The 23-year-old rookie did have 10 total touchdowns in 2023, but he'll be a touchdown-dependent DFS play against San Fran.Source: Packers.com
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (finger, knee) remained limited in the team's practice on Wednesday. Jones has been limited in practices for a while as he plays through some nagging injuries, but they haven't slowed him down at all. In fact, not only did he score three touchdowns in the surprising wild-card win over the Dallas Cowboys, but he reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the fourth straight game as well. It's the primary reason why he's the second-most expensive back on DraftKings, behind only Christian McCaffrey, for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Jones should still see plenty of touches for the Packers offense, especially if AJ Dillon (neck, thumb) misses a third straight game, but it's going to be tough for him to live up to his $6,700 price tag against one of the best defenses in the league on the road.Source: Packers.com
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder, ankle) did not practice on Wednesday, but head coach Matt LaFleur said, "He's doing better. He's getting treatment, and we'll see where he's at tomorrow." Alexander has been banged up seemingly all season and came into the NFC wild-card round questionable with shoulder and ankle injuries and aggravated his ankle ailment in the win over the Dallas Cowboys. The 26-year-old intercepted quarterback Dak Prescott to put the Packers in the red zone early in the game, and his absence would leave a significant hole in the Green Bay secondary against studs like Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel on Saturday against the 49ers. Since it's a playoff game, he'll likely play if he's close to being relatively healthy, but Thursday's practice report and game status will bring more clarity to the situation.Source: Rob Demovksy
8 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon (thumb/neck) did not practice on Wednesday. He is dealing with thumb and neck injuries that caused him to miss the Wild Card win over the Dallas Cowboys. His absence on Saturday would mean another big workload for Aaron Jones against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round. If Dillon does play, he'll have limited DFS and fantasy value against a defense that allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs during the regular season. Jones will be an intriguing option either way due to his explosiveness and pass-catching upside, but the matchup could prove to be too much for him, too. Green Bay must release their official game-day injury designations on Thursday, so we'll get a better idea of Dillon's status tomorrow.Source: Rob Demovksy

8 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (finger, knee) continues to manage some injuries heading into the Divisional Round this weekend and was listed as limited on the team's estimated practice report on Tuesday. Jones has been managing injuries pretty much all year, but he's been at his best at the right time and is coming off a 118-yard performance and three touchdowns on 21 carries in blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys on wild-card weekend. He's now rushed for over 100 yards in four straight games. As the second-most expensive RB on DraftKings for the Divisional Round on the road in San Francisco against the 49ers this Saturday, Jones will face a huge challenge against a vaunted Niners defense as he looks to go for his fifth straight 100-yard rushing performance.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
