Rondale Moore. Although, there's not a ton of value here, but the veteran wideout is a low risk move for the Cardinals. His best season came with the Houston Texans during the 2022 season. He finished with 48 receptions, 548 yards, and two touchdowns during that season. It's unlikely that he does that again, but he might get a decent amount of reps if the Cardinals fail to add anyone else this offseason.

The former second-round pick of the Cardinals in 2021 out of Purdue has scored just one touchdown in each of his three NFL seasons and had his best statistical season in his rookie year with a line of 54-435-1. From a fantasy perspective, it will be difficult for Moore to stand out in Atlanta after the Falcons also signed

7 months agoThe Arizona Cardinals are expected to sign Cincinnati Bengals free-agent offensive tackle Jonah Williams to a two-year deal worth $30 million, according to sources. The announcement comes just after the Cardinals released previous starting left tackle D.J. Humphries. Williams was considered one of the top offensive tackles on the open market this offseason, so this is a big win for Arizona's offense. The 26-year-old should now slot in as the team's starting right tackle to help protect quarterback
Kyler Murray. Williams was taken with the 11th overall pick in 2019 out of Alabama, and he started all 59 games he played in for the Bengals the last four years, including 17 at right tackle in 2023.

7 months agoThe Arizona Cardinals released left tackle D.J. Humphries (knee) on Wednesday after he spent nine seasons with the team. Humphries tore his ACL against the Philadelphia Eagles on New Year's Eve and certainly won't be ready for the start of the 2024 campaign this fall. The former first-round pick (24th overall) in 2015 out of Florida was set to carry a $22.9 million salary cap number this year, so the Cardinals decided to move on. He started all 98 games in which he appeared for the Cardinals after missing all of his rookie season. Injuries have been a big part of Humphries' career in the NFL, though, and his latest knee injury puts his future in doubt as a free agent. Cutting Humphries will save around $9 million in cap space in 2024 while the team takes on $13 million in dead-cap space.

DeeJay Dallas to a three-year deal worth $8.25 million on Tuesday with upside for the deal to be worth $10.5 million, according to a source. Dallas was taken by Seattle in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft out of the University of Miami in Florida and he ran for 468 yards and four touchdowns on 112 rushing attempts in his four years with the team. The 25-year-old also added 61 catches for 396 yards and another score in 61 games (two starts). He will remain in the NFC West and is currently listed as the team's No. 3 RB on the depth chart behind
James Conner and
Emari Demercado. Dallas will likely make his biggest impact as a return man on special teams, leaving him no fantasy appeal in most setups.

7 months agoThe Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with free-agent cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting on an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to a source. The former second-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will now head to the desert to try and fortify a struggling defense after spending one year with the Tennessee Titans. Last year with Tennessee, Murphy-Bunting had 57 tackles (42 solo), two interceptions, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 14 starts. The Cardinals added to all levels of their defense on Monday as they look to bolster a defense that was routinely carved up by opposing quarterbacks last year. The 26-year-old Murphy-Bunting should be expected to start across from Garrett Williams in Arizona's secondary in 2024, but he won't really be on the IDP radar.

7 months agoFormer New England Patriots linebacker Mack Wilson agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday on a three-year, $12.75 million deal worth up to $15 million, according to a source. The Cardinals have been busy adding to their defense in free agency on Monday, also adding defensive tackles Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols. The 26-year-old Wilson was formerly a fifth-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 out of Alabama. After spending the first three years of his career with the Browns, he recorded 39 solo tackles, five sacks, six tackles for loss, six QB hits, four passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 34 games (four starts) for the Patriots the last two seasons combined. While Wilson will give Arizona more linebacking depth, he can be avoided for IDP fantasy purposes.

7 months agoFormer Las Vegas Raiders free-agent defensive tackle Bilal Nichols reached an agreement on Monday on a three-year, $21 million deal that includes $14.4 million guaranteed with the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source. The Cardinals also added defensive tackle Justin Jones in free agency on Monday, so the addition of both interior linemen will really shore up a weak spot in the middle of the defensive line for the Cardinals. The 27-year-old Nichols spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Chicago Bears before racking up 41 solo tackles, three sacks, eight tackles for loss, 13 QB hits and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the last two seasons with the Raiders. Nichols can be ignored in IDP fantasy leagues, but he'll no doubt be a boost to Arizona's interior defensive line next season.

7 months agoFree-agent defensive tackle Justin Jones agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday on a three-year, $30.1 million deal with $19.75 million guaranteed, according to a source. Jones, a former third-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2018 out of North Carolina State, just had the best two seasons of his career with the Chicago Bears in 2022-23 after playing his first four seasons in LA. The 27-year-old finished the 2023 campaign with 49 tackles (29 solo), a career-high 4.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, 17 QB hits and four passes defensed in 17 starts. Jones earned more playing time in Chicago and should become an integral part of Arizona's interior defensive line moving forward, although he's not on the IDP fantasy radar.

The former Seattle Seahawks first-round pick impressed in training camp last year, but he suffered a biceps injury that ended his season after just one game with the Cardinals. The 28-year-old has compiled 42 tackles and three sacks through his first 46 NFL games. He's unlikely to ever live up to his draft capital, but he'll get another shot at becoming a solid starter or depth option in 2024.

He's been a team captain and a respected voice in the locker room. However, he just turned 30 years old and he's likely to miss most of the 2024 season while recovering from surgery on his ACL. Humphries will have a $22.9 million salary cap number this year, and cutting him would save the Cardinals around $9 million. General manager Monti Ossenfort has more work to do with the team's offensive line this season, even though they exceeded expectations in 2023. If the team moves on from Humphries, Paris Johnson Jr., who had an impressive rookie season at right tackle, could move over to the left side to protect quarterback

Brown, 26, finished last season on Injured Reserve due to a heel injury and played in 14 games in his second year in the desert. Kyler Murray got a late start to the season while rehabbing from a torn ACL in 2022. The former first-round pick of the Ravens in 2019 out of Oklahoma is an injury risk, but he could be a draft bargain in 2024 if he stays healthy and lands in a good situation.
