3 days agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk saw the field on Sunday but didn't show up in the box score. During the 28-22 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Polk saw 41% of the offensive snaps but didn't see a single target. This marks his first game with zero targets and his third with zero receptions. He came into his rookie season with some higher expectations but currently sits behind Kendrick Bourne, DeMario Douglas, and Kayshon Boutte in terms of priority in the passing game. The Patriots head to Miami to take on the Dolphins in Week 12.Source: ESPN
3 days agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele quietly had a strong performance in the 38-6 blowout win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday in Week 11, although he wasn't on the receiving end of one of rookie quarterback Bo Nix's career-high four touchdown passes. Vele finished with four receptions on five targets for 66 receiving yards. Both his targets and yards were second on the team behind Courtland Sutton. The 26-year-old seventh-rounder out of Utah has had some impressive moments in his first NFL season, and while his 66 yards were his second-highest yardage total of the year, he's also failed to reach 40 yards in five of his seven games. Vele will continue to develop alongside Nix but can't realistically be trusted in starting fantasy lineups as anything more than a boom/bust WR5/flex in deeper leagues.Source: ESPN.com
3 days agoNew York Jets running back Braelon Allen was firmly in the backup role during the Week 11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He finished with two carries for six yards and didn't see any targets in the passing game. In comparison, Breece Hall received 16 carries and seven targets. The biggest hit to Allen's fantasy value was always the amount of work Hall receives, and when he's rolling, Allen will disappear. The Jets will go up against a vulnerable run defense in the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12, so Allen may get some more work if they get a lead early on.Source: ESPN
3 days agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell had a quiet Sunday afternoon in the team's 28-27 win over the New York Jets. The rookie was able to catch one of his two targets for a big gain of 33 yards and received one carry for two yards. The Colts' offense was able to outduel the Jets in a big way as Anthony Richardson threw 20-for-30 with 272 yards. Mitchell just hasn't built consistent chemistry and remains lower in the pecking order compared to Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Alec Pierce. He'll look to break off some big plays against a tough Detroit Lions defense in Week 12.Source: ESPN
3 days agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman has been operating as the team's deep threat this year but wasn't able to find much open field against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Sunday's loss. The Minnesota product finished with two receptions for 30 yards on five targets. The passing game went stale as Lamar Jackson completed under 50% of his throws, and Bateman couldn't get open down the field. The offense will look to bounce back in a big way against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night in Week 12.Source: ESPN
3 days agoAccording to agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, cornerback Caleb Farley is moving up to the Carolina Panthers active roster for the long term. Farley has bounced back and forth between the team's practice squad and active roster, as he's appeared in three games for them this season. He was the 22nd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and played two seasons with the Tennessee Titans before two separate stints on the IR and one season on the PUP list. So far this season, he's played 29 snaps on defense and 23 on special teams.Source: Adam Schefter
3 days agoNew York Giants quarterback Tommy Devito will return under center after Daniel Jones has been benched coming out of the team's bye week. The Giants sit at 2-8 which is the worst record in the entire NFC through almost 11 weeks. To make matters worse, they've scored the least amount of points in the NFL with 156. Enter Tommy Cutlets, who captured a lot of hearts last season as an underdog, heartwarming story. He guided the Giants to a 3-3 record during his starts while accumulating 1,101 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions on a 64.0% completion percentage along with 195 yards and another score on 36 attempts.Source: Adam Schefter
3 days agoNew York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been underwhelming, to say the least, after receiving his big contract extension. With the team sitting at 2-8 coming out of the bye week, they have decided to bench their starting quarterback and move in a different direction. Through 10 starts this year, Jones has amassed 2,070 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions on a 63.3% completion percentage. He also registered a 79.4 passer rating and was sacked 29 times, which is fifth-most in the league. The bad news for the Giants is that Jones isn't set to become a free agent until 2027.Source: Ian Rapoport
3 days agoNew York Rangers winger Alexis Lafreniere took his point streak to four games with the game-winning goal in Sunday's 2-0 victory at Seattle. He opened the scoring at the 17:30 mark in the second period. Zac Jones added a second goal for the Rangers early in the third. Lafreniere now has two separate point streaks of at least four games this season, notching 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 16 games overall. He recorded two such streaks during the entire 2023-24 campaign. The 23-year-old has taken another step forward in his game and looks primed to see a lot more success as the partner of Artemi Panarin and Vincent Trocheck on the second line.Source: ESPN
3 days agoNew York Rangers goaltender Jonathan Quick stopped 24 shots to collect his second consecutive shutout in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Seattle. The veteran was in action for the fourth time this season and maintained a perfect record. Quick is now the fourth goaltender in league history to win four consecutive starts to begin a season at age 38 or older. With Igor Shesterkin firmly positioning himself as the No. 1 at the club, Quick doesn't get a lot of action. But he has been very reliable for the Rangers, allowing only 0.91 goals this season with a spectacular .970 save percentage.Source: ESPN
3 days agoCarolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas stretched his point streak to 13 games with a big four-point effort in Sunday's 4-1 win against St. Louis. He tallied two goals and two assists, picking up one power-play point. This was already the second four-point game of the season for Necas, who has amassed 10 goals and 17 assists during his scoring streak. He has recorded 11 goals and 19 assists in 17 games overall this season, becoming the fastest player in franchise history to register 30 points in a season. It's been an incredible run from Necas, and it might last a while, as Carolina's hot offense will be pitted against some struggling defenses this week.Source: ESPN
3 days agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov returned from injury with a 4-1 victory over St. Louis on Sunday. He sat out Saturday's 4-0 triumph over Ottawa with an undisclosed ailment. Spencer Martin had a great outing with a 24-save shutout. Kochetkov produced 29 saves on Sunday, giving up an early goal to Jake Neighbours before the Hurricanes ran over the Blues. Kochetkov, who is seeing a lot of action due to Frederik Andersen's (lower body) absence, improved to 9-2-0 on Sunday. He owns a 2.42 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. Only Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck (12) has collected more wins among goalies in 2024-25.Source: ESPN
3 days agoNashville Predators forward Steven Stamkos netted two power-play goals in a 5-3 road victory over Vancouver on Sunday. His second marker was the game-winner in the contest. With the two strikes, Stamkos took over the 11th spot on the all-time power-play goals list. He now has 219 of them on his resume. Five of Stamkos' six goals this season have come with the man advantage. His move to Music City hasn't worked out quite as well as many expected, and Stamkos was averaging even less than 0.5 points per game ahead of Sunday's matchup. He's now on 10 points (six goals, four assists) through 19 outings. You would expect to see Stamkos pick up his scoring pace at some point, but it's impossible to predict when that might happen.Source: ESPN
3 days agoWashington Capitals winger Alex Ovechkin showed off some of his best form in Sunday's 5-2 victory over Vegas, recording his 31st career hat trick. In typical fashion, Ovechkin started the damage with a power-play goal. He needed only five shots to get the three goals. This was another big step towards Wayne Gretzky's all-time goals record. Ovechkin, who has netted eight goals already this month, needs to be on target 29 more times to take over the record. Fittingly, Ovechkin now also sits among the league's top goal-scorers this season, sharing the No. 1 spot with Florida's Sam Reinhart and Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl. He has lit the lamp 13 times, adding 10 assists in 17 games.Source: ESPN
3 days agoMiami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts and 4-for-4 on extra points in their 34-19 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. He hit from 31 and 46 yards out. This marks the fourth straight game where Sanders has made all his kicks. With the offense presenting more scoring opportunities in recent weeks, it's fitting to see him taking advantage. The 29-year-old has shown the consistency to be a weekly start in fantasy lineups moving forward. Sanders and the Dolphins will host the New England Patriots in a game that should present plenty of chances to rack up points in Week 12.Source: NFL
3 days agoMiami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert carried the ball three times for a loss of two yards in Sunday's 34-19 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. In the wake of Mostert's fumble troubles, it's looking increasingly like head coach Mike McDaniels favors turning to youngster Jaylen Wright behind De'Von Achane for the RB2 role. In recent weeks, Wright has seen a slight uptick in involvement, outpacing Mostert in carries four to three on Sunday. He went from a combined 30 carries in Weeks 7-9 to three in the last two weeks. Although there are still some opportunities to escape the doghouse, Miami has little margin for error in a tight battle for a playoff spot. The next matchup is at home against the struggling New England Patriots.Source: NFL
3 days agoIn Week 11, Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet had a quiet outing in the team's narrow 20-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Kmet finished with just three receptions for 42 yards, a far cry from the fantasy production many had hoped for. However, it was encouraging to see him more involved in the offense compared to recent weeks, a sign that the Bears may be trying to get him more involved moving forward. The coaching change, with Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator, seemed to spark some life in the Bears' offense, though Kmet's numbers didn't fully reflect the shift. While he's not a consistent fantasy option, he could still be worth stashing on your bench, especially with bye weeks on the horizon. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they welcome the tough Minnesota Vikings to Soldier Field next Sunday. Brian Flores' defense presents another challenging matchup for Kmet and the Bears.Source: ESPN
3 days agoIn Week 11, Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze led the team in receiving yards and targets during the 20-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Odunze finished with six receptions for 65 yards but was kept out of the end zone like many of his teammates. Despite the loss, it was encouraging to see Odunze take on a more prominent role in the Bears' offense under the new coaching direction. With Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator, Odunze emerged as a go-to target for rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, mainly when the Bears needed a big play. He came up clutch on a crucial 4th down late in the game, keeping the Bears' drive alive and showing his growing rapport with Williams. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they host the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field next Sunday. A tough matchup against Brian Flores' defense looms on the horizon.Source: ESPN
3 days agoOn Sunday, Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen had another quiet performance in the team's Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Allen finished with just four receptions for 41 yards, a far cry from the dynamic playmaker he was last season. Despite being targeted 8 times by quarterback Caleb Williams, Allen could not make a significant impact. That said, it was encouraging to see him come up clutch on a few vital third-down plays, proving he's still effective at getting open in critical situations. The recent coaching change, with Thomas Brown taking over as offensive coordinator, seems to have sparked some life in the Bears' offense, even if Allen's production didn't reflect that shift. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they host the tough Minnesotabrutalngs at Soldier Field next Sunday. A challenging matchup against Brian Flores' defense awaits.Source: ESPN
3 days agoIn Week 11, Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore showed signs of improvement in the team's 20-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. While he finished with seven receptions for seven 62 yards, Moore was again kept out of the end zone. He also had minimal impact in the rushing game, with just one carry for 5 yards. Despite the lack of a touchdown, it was encouraging to see Moore utilized more creatively within the offense. The recent change at offensive coordinator, with Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron, seems to have sparked a bit of life in the Bears' attack. While Moore's production didn't reach its full potential this week, his expanded role could signal more fantasy value soon. Looking ahead, the Bears won't have much time to regroup as they welcome the tough Minnesota Vikings to Soldier Field next Sunday. A challenging matchup against Brian Flores' defense awaits.Source: ESPN
3 days agoOn Sunday, Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson made his mark in the team's Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers. While his role in the offense was limited, Johnson made the most of his opportunities, rushing 10 times for 33 yards and a touchdown. Once again, he served as the short-yardage back, converting a goal-line touch into a score. Johnson also caught one pass for 8 yards. The coaching change, with Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator, seemed to slightly improve the Bears' offense, and Johnson's role remains steady. While he faces a tough upcoming schedule, his position in the Bears' backfield appears secure. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they host the tough Minnesotabrutalngs next Sunday at Soldier Field. Minnesota's defense, led by Brian Flores, will provide another significant challenge.Source: ESPN
3 days agoOn Sunday, Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift turned in another strong performance in the team's Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Swift made the most of his 14 carries, rushing for 71 yards—an impressive 5.1 yards per carry—and capped off his day with a spectacular 39-yard touchdown run. He also contributed in the passing game, adding two catches for 13 yards. The recent change at offensive coordinator, with Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron, seemed to spark a slight resurgence in the Bears' offense, and Swift benefited from the new approach. Despite the tough loss, Swift's performance further solidifies his role as a key piece of the offense moving forward. That said, one of the league's toughest remaining schedules for running backs may test his fantasy value. Still, it will be hard to sit Swift, given how well he's been playing. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they welcome the tough Minnesota Vikings to Soldier Field next Sunday, where they'll face a challenging defense led by Brian Flores.Source: ESPN
3 days agoThis Sunday, Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams faced a tough test against the Green Bay Packers in Week 11. While Williams showed flashes of his potential, it was still a mixed performance. He completed 23 of 31 passes for 231 yards but, once again, failed to find the end zone, extending his streak without a passing touchdown. On a positive note, Williams added 70 rushing yards—his highest total of the season—showing off his mobility and ability to make plays with his legs. The recent change at offensive coordinator, with Thomas Brown replacing Shane Waldron, seemed to spark a slight resurgence in the Bears' offense. However, despite Williams' improvements, his inability to score touchdowns keeps him relegated to QB2 in fantasy leagues. The Bears won't have much time to regroup as they welcome the tough Minnesota Vikings to Soldier Field next Sunday. Minnesota's defense, led by Brian Flores, will present another significant challenge for the young quarterback.Source: ESPN

4 days agoA week after he exploded with a 3-109-2 line, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling took another catch to the house in the Saints' 35-14 win over the Browns. Similar to his Week 10 performance, MVS was seldom targeted but made the most of his opportunities. On four targets, he caught two balls for 87 yards and a touchdown, with the score being a 71-yard catch and run in the second quarter. With few other options for quarterback Derek Carr to throw to, Valdes-Scantling seems to have cemented his role as the team's go-to playmaker at wide receiver. Rashid Shaheed (knee) is out for the year, so even if Chris Olave (concussion) is activated from IR before the end of the season, MVS may still be featured as the deep threat for New Orleans. After their Week 12 bye, the Saints will face the Rams, followed by the Giants, who rank 29th and dead-last, respectively, in completion rate allowed on deep throws.Source: NFL.com
4 days agoThe Taysom Hill boom game we were all waiting for finally happened in Week 11. Hill had A career-high 138 rushing yards with three touchdowns on seven carries and led the Saints in receptions and targets, bringing in eight of his ten looks for 50 yards. He fulfilled the rest of his utility role with an 18-yard completion and a 42-yard kickoff return. His work in New Orleans' 35-14 win over the Browns equated to a whopping 42.52 PPR points. Hill threw an interception on his only other pass attempt in the game and lost a fumble but the turnovers did not deter the Saints from turning away from their jack of all trades. Since his Week 8 return from a multi-week absence due to injury, Hill is averaging 8.3 touches per game and has four touchdowns thanks to his performance against Cleveland. New Orleans is on bye in Week 12 but Hill will continue to be a factor thereafter.Source: NFL.com
4 days agoNew Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara handled 16 carries for 67 yards and caught all four of his targets for 22 receiving yards in Sunday's 35-14 win over the Browns. Kamara found enough space to take his first handoff 13 yards and had an 18-yard gain on the ground in the fourth quarter but was stopped at or behind the line of scrimmage seven times. It was the first time since Week 7 that he finished short of 100 scrimmage yards and it was his fifth straight week without a touchdown. The four targets were the fewest that Kamara has seen in a game since Week 3. His use in Week 11 was a surprising step back from the norm, considering how thin the Saints are on offense thanks to their recent spate of injuries. Kamara should return to being the focal point of New Orleans' attack after their Week 12 bye and has a favorable schedule for the fantasy playoffs including a matchup against the Raiders in the championship round.Source: NFL.com

4 days agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker still hasn't found the stride he had for a two-game stretch earlier in the season. He caught three of his four targets for 28 yards and ran the ball one time for seven yards. He hasn't been a big factor in the offense yet, and he's clearly taken a back seat to fellow WR Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brock Bowers. He'll likely stick in his role as third fiddle on this offense. Despite being a speedster, he simply hasn't been putting himself in position to make many impactful plays for Las Vegas. Week 12 won't present any easier opportunities for him to achieve this, as he'll face the rival Denver Broncos, who are coming off a blowout win against the Atlanta Falcons. Denver limited a much better offense to just six points in Week 11.Source: ESPN
4 days agoThe Los Angeles Chargers defense struggled a bit but was able to do just enough in a 34-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. The Chargers recorded three sacks but allowed the 27 points, 21 of which came in the second quarter. It was a tale of two halves in this one, as the Bolts looked strong on defense in the first half and then fell apart and almost have up the game in the second. They ended up with negative two points in standard scoring defense leagues, and will have another tough matchup on Monday Night Football next week against the Baltimore Ravens.Source: ESPN.com
