Minnesota Wild defenseman Jake Middleton (upper body) has been cleared to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. He has recovered from an upper-body injury, which sidelined Middleton for four games. The 29-year-old has scored a career-high eight goals this season while notching 20 points, 155 blocks, and 98 hits across 66 appearances. Minnesota's defense will also have Jared Spurgeon (neck) back on Tuesday, meaning Declan Chisholm and Cameron Crotty will exit the lineup. The Wild are expected to rely significantly on their top-four group at the back Tuesday, as the team requires just one more point to clinch a postseason berth.Jared Spurgeon Available Against Ducks

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon (neck) will be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The Wild captain was unable to play on Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks after taking a puck to the throat the previous night in a matchup versus the Calgary Flames. However, he has been cleared for Tuesday's potential playoff clincher. Spurgeon brings a wealth of experience and quality at both ends to the lineup. He has recorded 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists), 106 shots, 116 blocks, and 53 hits in 65 contests this season.Ilya Samsonov Returns To Vegas Crease Tuesday
Source: Pat Steinberg
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Ilya Samsonov (upper body) will return to work on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. The Russian netminder hasn't seen any action since March 23, missing eight games due to an upper-body injury. Samsonov boasts a solid 16-9-3 record as Vegas' backup, having allowed 2.79 goals with a .892 save percentage and two shutouts. He faces the NHL's third-lowest scoring side on Tuesday. However, Vegas is without several key players and squares off against a team that's battling for a playoff spot, so Tuesday's contest will likely not be a cakewalk for Samsonov.Noah Hanifin To Be Rested Against Flames
Source: Pat Steinberg
Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Noah Hanifin (rest) will not be in the lineup on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. Having played in all 80 games so far, Hanifin will take Tuesday night off to rest. The 28-year-old has been rock-solid throughout the campaign with Vegas, registering 39 points (10 goals, 29 assists), 145 shots, 106 blocks, and a plus-eight rating. With Alex Pietrangelo (undisclosed) remaining sidelined, Zach Whitecloud and Nicolas Hague (illness) will see increased usage in the Vegas defense. The latter is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday after missing three games due to an illness.Mark Stone Sits Out Tuesday's Action
Source: Pat Steinberg
Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mark Stone (rest) will exit the lineup for Tuesday's tilt against the Calgary Flames. The Golden Knights will rest their captain for the contest, with Stone joining Jack Eichel (upper body) on the sidelines. Stone has struggled recently, posting only one point in seven games, and will likely welcome the opportunity to take some time off to reset. He has recorded 67 points (19 goals, 48 assists) in 66 games for the entire campaign. With two-thirds of Vegas' top line missing, players like Tomas Hertl, William Karlsson, and Brandon Saad will hold extra fantasy value.Oliver Ekman-Larsson Expected To Return For Postseason
Source: ESPN
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson (upper body) will remain on the shelf for Tuesday's encounter with the Buffalo Sabres but is expected to be ready to rejoin the lineup when the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs begin. Ekman-Larsson, a Stanley Cup winner from last year with the Florida Panthers, made 77 appearances with the Maple Leafs before suffering a late-season injury blow. He has recorded 29 points (four goals, 25 assists), 118 shots, 83 blocks, and 108 hits with a plus-14 rating. Jake McCabe (upper body) is also currently absent from the Maple Leafs defense, providing Dakota Mermis and Philippe Myers with playing opportunities.Owen Power To Miss Rest Of Regular Season
Source: NHL.com
Buffalo Sabres defenseman Owen Power (lower body) will be out of action for the remainder of the regular season. He suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning and is sitting out a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. "Don't really have a time frame yet, but it looks to be [serious]," Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said about Power's injury. "We'll have more information, a further follow-up today and the next couple days." Power posted a career-high 40 points (seven goals, 33 assists) in 79 games with 139 shots and 109 blocks. In Power's absence, Jacob Bryson has rejoined the lineup.Stefan Noesen Returns To Action Tuesday
Source: NHL.com
New Jersey Devils winger Stefan Noesen (rest) will rejoin the action on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins. The team will have him back in the lineup after Noesen was rested for Sunday's tilt against the New York Islanders. Noesen's return will bump Timo Meier down from the first line. 2024-25 has been a big campaign for Noesen, with a career-high 40 points (21 goals, 19 assists) and 150 hits in 77 appearances. The 32-year-old has scored in both of his two appearances against the Bruins this season.Claude Giroux Won't Play On Tuesday
Source: Claire Hanna
Ottawa Senators forward Claude Giroux (rest) will not be in action on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks. The veteran star has been ever-present for the Senators this season, appearing in all 80 games, but he will sit out Tuesday's contest for rest purposes. While Giroux's best days may be behind him, he has still put together a 50-point campaign, registering 15 goals and 35 assists. David Perron (rest) and Ridly Greig (rest) are slated to return on Tuesday and could both take on top-six roles. This would enhance their fantasy value in a favorable matchup against the NHL's second-worst defense.Jake Sanderson Resting Against Blackhawks

Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson (rest) will skip Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks. Ottawa will give one of its key players some rest before the postseason. Sanderson has enjoyed a hugely successful campaign in 2024-25, notching a career-high 55 points (11 goals, 44 assists) in 79 games while blocking a team-high 163 shots. Thomas Chabot will carry additional fantasy value on Tuesday as Sanderson's replacement on the first power-play unit. He has recently boosted his productivity, totaling nine points (two goals, seven assists) during a five-game scoring streak. Nick Jensen (rest) will also exit the lineup on Tuesday, which will increase the workload of the remaining defensemen.Adam Pelech Available Tuesday
Source: Ethan Sears
New York Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech (upper body) will play in Tuesday's contest against the Washington Capitals. A bad hit by New Jersey Devils forward Paul Cotter knocked Pelech out of the lineup on Sunday, but he will not have to miss additional time, having cleared concussion protocol. Pelech will take up his usual role on the first defensive pairing alongside Ryan Pulock. The 30-year-old has totaled 21 assists, 107 shots, 86 blocks, and 73 hits in 59 appearances this season.Nikolaj Ehlers Considered Week-To-Week
Source: NHL.com
Winnipeg Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers (foot) is considered week-to-week. The Danish forward aggravated a previous foot injury in Saturday's shootout win against the Chicago Blackhawks. He will sit out a second consecutive game on Wednesday, when Winnipeg concludes its regular season against the Anaheim Ducks, and it's unclear when Ehlers will be ready to help the Jets again. Ehlers notched 63 points (24 goals, 39 assists) in 69 games this season. Nino Niederreiter replaced him on the second line in Sunday's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers, while Gabriel Vilardi (upper body), who has been upgraded to day-to-day, could soon also be an option for the top six.Logan Couture Announces Retirement

San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture (groin) announced his retirement on Tuesday. "Unfortunately, due to my injury, I am no longer able to play hockey," Couture said in a statement released by the Sharks. "I'm extremely grateful and proud to have played 16 years in the best league in the world. I want to thank the Sharks organization and all of my teammates over the course of my career. And most especially, thank you to the Sharks and hockey fans around the world for your continued support. I will continue to root for the Sharks as they look to get back to annually competing for the Stanley Cup as we did for so many years." Couture, who has been suffering from osteitis pubis, has not played since Jan. 31, 2024. The Sharks drafted Couture ninth in the 2007 NHL draft, and he spent his entire career with the organization, posting 701 points (323 goals, 378 assists) in 933 regular-season appearances.Frank Nazar Tallies Two Points In Victory
Source: NHL.com
Chicago Blackhawks rookie center Frank Nazar tallied two points during their 4-3 shootout victory over the Montreal Canadiens. This was Nazar's second-straight game tallying two points. In the opening frame, Nazar tallied the primary assist on Tyler Bertuzzi's power-play goal. Later in the second, Nazar would find the back of the net himself, also on the power play. Since the start of the month, Nazar has played a key role in the Chicago offense as he has scored four goals and added four helpers over seven contests. During this stretch, Nazar tallied three of his points on the power play. Before April, Nazar tallied just three points (all goals) during all of March. Given his recent offensive surge, he remains a viable option in DFS during their final game of the season, against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday evening.
