Jonathan Aranda Smacks Third Home Run
2 days agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Jonathan Aranda went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to their division-rival Boston Red Sox. Aranda continues to mash, posting his third home run in the early going with a white-hot .413 average (19-for-46) and robust 1.242 OPS. The 26-year-old is just three homers off his 2024 total in fewer than half the at-bats it took him to do so while notching seven doubles, 11 RBI, and ten runs scored. His batted-ball metrics are off the charts thus far, with stark increases in average exit velocity (96.5 MPH) and hard-hit percentage (62.2%) while dropping his strikeout rate (18.5%) and raising his walk percentage (11.1%) from a season ago.Source: ESPN
Cedric Mullins Homers In Tuesday’s Loss Against Cleveland
2 days agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins provided a spark last night, going 2-for-3 with a home run in Tuesday’s 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Guardians. Mullins blasted a solo shot in the seventh inning to put Baltimore on the scoreboard. He also singled in the fifth and drew a walk in Tuesday’s defeat. Mullins is now hitting .300 (15-for-50) with four home runs, 17 RBI, 10 runs, and three stolen bases on the season and continues to produce solid numbers from the bottom of Baltimore’s lineup. Mullins and the Orioles will look to bounce back Wednesday night in the middle game of a three-game set hosting the Guardians.Source: MLB.com
Sam Burns Hoping For Better Times At RBC Heritage
2 days agoSam Burns missed four straight cuts and faltered at the Masters. The American golfer shot consecutive 75's over the weekend on what was perceived to be an easier layout. Almost every week, Burns has that round which makes any bettor, DFS player, or pundit scratch their head. Sunday looked to be going okay and then back-to-back double bogeys on 17 and 18 dropped Burns 14 places on the leaderboard. Errant shots and compounding errors have been the main culprits for the downturn. His putting has been incredible in 2025 ranking 4th with 0.839 strokes gained. However, approaches to the green have been equally putrid. Approaches greater than 200 yards are 148th at 56 feet 5 inches. Burns may struggle again once or twice this week which dampens his DFS outlook. Source: PGATour.com
Sahith Theegala Still Trying To Put It All Together
2 days agoSahith Theegala does not have to worry about the cut line this week. The American golfer has made the cut 10 out of 11 tries in 2025. However, his consistency has been just placing outside the Top 25 despite solid numbers. Aside from The Genesis Invitational (T-17), the song has been much the same. Theegala's biggest issue is his approach to the green and Hilton Head is particularly a course for the approach. He ranks 141st in strokes gained at -0.274. Theegala does not have to fret over the driving accuracy (55.82%) as much but ranking 137th in greens in regulation (63.76%) and 136th in proximity (55.33 feet) could mean more of the same in South Carolina. Angel Martinez Triples, Swipes Bag In Win
2 days agoCleveland Guardians outfielder Angel Martinez went 3-for-4 with a triple, steal, and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. His other two hits were singles. The 23-year-old has logged three multi-hit outings this season in his first four appearances, including two three-hit efforts. Martinez is hitting a scorching .571 (8-for-14) with two doubles, one triple, a steal, two runs scored, and three RBI. It's a small sample, but the switch-hitting outfielder has raised his average exit velocity by eight ticks (94.5 MPH) and is registering a hard-hit ball nearly 70% of the time (69.2%). Martinez was good for double-digit homers and steals during his time in the minors but never hit for a high average, so it's unlikely his early-season production sticks. Still, he's worth monitoring for the time being.Source: ESPN
Aaron Rai Might Be That Guy For Hilton Head
2 days agoAaron Rai continues to play smart even when his game is not quite there. The English golfer enjoyed a solid T-27 at the Masters. Although the Thursday was good, his Sunday offered a hint of what could come this week. Again, Rai bounced back from missing the cut at Houston and made a few putts on Sunday ending up with a 70. The risk is Rai only has played once at Hilton Head. He did gain several strokes off the tee and approach combined. Golfers even joke about muscle memory and the RBC Heritage tends to be an easier course to get back into a rhythm. Rai is currently +105 to finish inside the Top 20 and that could go Even or potentially into the minus territory by Thursday. His DFS price is right around $8,000 which is attractive especially now. Robert MacIntyre All Or Nothing At RBC Heritage
2 days agoRobert MacIntyre has had quite the interesting previous five events on the PGA Tour. The Scottish golfer has either been squarely in contention or out faster than an errant drive. He righted himself at the Arnold Palmer in March after an opening 74. However at the Masters, not much went right with consecutive 75's. MacIntyre is in a group of golfer around +4000 on the sportsbooks. However, it is that Top 20 number at +115 or even +280 for a Top 10 that carry potential. This is risky given the up-and-down nature of his game. However, if the putter can come close to his approach and drives, that seventh-ranked greens in regulation (71.03%) could loom larger this weekend. That 4.39 birdie average (17th) does not hurt for DFS purposes especially come Sunday. Source: PGATour.com
Tom Hoge Still Playing Solid Heading To Hilton Head
2 days agoTom Hoge did not seem to have the best of weeks, and yet he found his way into the top 15 at Augusta. Hoge simply weathered the storm and posted a solid weekend of 70-71 to finish T14. With the way Hilton Head is set up, this may not quite be the perfect course for the American golfer. His off-the-tee shortcomings will not be as much of an issue (168th in strokes gained). Hoge ranks 12th on approach in the same metric at 0.703. Even better, his birdie average ranks a respectable 40th at 4.14 and he's 48th on par-fours at 4.00. Few are suggesting that Hoge could contend, but no one should be surprised if he ends up near or around the top 20 by Sunday. His proximity ranks 13th and he's in the top 50 for approaches greater than 200 yards, which bodes well for DFS.Source: PGATour.com
Nick Dunlap Continues To Have Rough Stretch
2 days agoNick Dunlap still had issues finding the green and making putts at Augusta. The American golfer missed his fourth straight cut and must be thankful for the RBC Heritage format. With no cut line, maybe Dunlap can focus on his golf game. The young golfer is +25000 to win in Hilton Head on Sunday. It is a sign that maybe another struggle is likely. At least the shorter 7213 yard, Par-71 should help Dunlap off the tee. He ranks 183rd in strokes gained there (-1.622). That number has nearly doubled over the past four events as Dunlap continues to battle with his game. Worse, driving accuracy is only 46% (181st). Again, there are fewer drivers to hit but even that knocked his birdie average to 3.72 (109th). Improvement is also likely by default but not even DFS worthy. Source: PGATour.com
George Lombard Jr. Posts Third Straight Two-Hit Game
2 days agoNew York Yankees infield prospect George Lombard Jr. went 2-for-2 with a home run, two walks, and two stolen bases during their contest against High-A Wilmington. This was Lombard's third-straight two-hit contest. This was also his first round-tripper of the campaign and first game in which he swiped multiple bases. Through the first nine games of the High-A regular season, Lombard has held a strong .333/.475/.500 slash line with two extra-base hits, and 8:9 BB:K, and four stolen bases. Last summer, the former 26th overall pick from the 2023 MLB Draft spent most of the campaign with Low-A Tampa and posted a .232/.333/.348 line. He then earned a brief taste of High-A. Fantasy managers should expect the Gulliver Prep School product to spend most of the 2025 season with High-A.Source: MiLB.com
Keegan Bradley Looks To Move On From Masters Performance
2 days agoKeegan Bradley admitted he thought he would make more birdies at Augusta. The American golfer opened with a 74-73 which caused him to miss his first cut of 2025. When he fell a little flat at the Valero Texas Open, few noticed. However, several errant shots on Thursday at the Masters should have been a sign. One good piece of news is that the RBC Heritage does not emphasize the driver much. Bradley also does not have to worry about any cut lines. At Hilton Head, strokes gained on approach is king but not the only thing. Bradley ranks 25th at 0.54 but only 127th in putting at -0.189. His birdie or better percentage has come back to almost average at 31.89% (89th). Bradley dropped to +6000 in the odds early in the week and may be someone to shy away from. Source: PGATour.com
Rhys Hoskins Launches First Home Run Of The Season
2 days agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins broke out in Tuesday’ 5-0 win over the Detroit Tigers. He went 3-for-4 with a towering solo home run in the second inning, his first of the season. The 440-foot blast opened the scoring, as he later added an RBI single in the seventh to help cap off Tuesday’s win. It was a strong showing for Hoskins, who had been off to a slow start at the plate. He is now slashing .229/.345/.313 across 48 at-bats. Hoskins and the Brewers will aim to take the series in Wednesday's finale at home against Detroit.Source: MLB.com
Hao-Yu Lee Goes Deep, Swipes A Bag
2 days agoDetroit Tigers infield prospect Hao-Yu Lee went 4-for-6 with a home run and a stolen base during Tuesday's contest against Triple-A Indianapolis. Lee tallied three RBI and scored three runs. This impressive outing extended his current hitting streak to four games. Over his last four contests, Lee has posted a strong .471/.500/.765 slash line with one triple, one round-tripper, and a 1:3 BB:K. However, before this recent surge, the 22-year-old was off to a modest start at Triple-A, posting a .158/.289/.237 line with just two extra-base hits across the first 10 games of the campaign. After spending the entire 2024 season with Double-A Erie, Lee was able to earn a spot with Triple-A Toledo to open the 2025 season. If he continues to turn the corner, he could push for a mid-season MLB debut.Source: MiLB.com
Kade Morris Tosses Seven Shutout Frames
2 days agoAthletics right-handed pitching prospect Kade Morris tossed seven shutout innings during his start on Tuesday evening. He allowed six hits and one walk. He struck out six batters. This was a strong bounce-back showing for the former third-round pick as he allowed two hits and four runs (three earned) during his start of the season on April 9. Last summer, Morris spent most of his time with Low-A and High-A. Across 95 2/3 innings at the High-A level, the 22-year-old posted a 4.42 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP. He struck out 81 batters and served up 30 walks. He was then given a brief taste of Triple-A. However, at the start of the 2025 season, the Athletics opted for Morris to open the campaign with Double-A Midland to continue his development. He should push for a return to Triple-A in the coming weeks if he continues to perform well.Source: MiLB.com
Otto Kemp Tallies Four Hits, Five RBI On Tuesday
2 days agoPhiladelphia Phillies infield prospect Otto Kemp posted his first four-hit game of the Triple-A regular season on Tuesday evening. Kemp went 4-for-6 at the plate with two doubles, a long ball, five RBI, and two runs. He only struck out once. Over his last 10 games, Kemp has been swinging a hot bat, holding a .320/.456/.775 slash line with five doubles and four round-trippers. Through the first 16 games of the Triple-A regular season, the 25-year-old has held a .311/.411/.672 slash line with five doubles and five home runs. Kemp is currently ranked as the No. 24 prospect in the Phillies system on MLB Pipeline. Last summer, he spent most of his time with Double-A Reading. He should push for a second-half MLB debut if he continues this steady production at Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
Pedro Leon Targeting Late-April Return
2 days agoHouston Astros outfield prospect Pedro Leon (knee) is continuing to progress well from his knee injury and is targeting a return to Triple-A in late-April. Leon suffered this injury during spring training and has missed the opening weeks of the regular season. He was able to appear in just one spring training game after suffering a Grade 1 MCL sprain. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression as he could begin a rehab assignment in the coming weeks. Last summer, the No. 22-ranked prospect in the Houston system made his MLB debut and tallied two hits across seven games. He spent most of the summer with Triple-A Sugar Land and held a .229/.372/.514 slash line with 25 doubles and 24 home runs. Fantasy managers should expect Leon to open the 2025 campaign with Sugar Land before pushing for a return to the majors.Source: Francys Romero
Zebby Matthews Strikes Out Seven On Tuesday
2 days agoMinnesota Twins right-handed pitcher Zebby Matthews tossed five innings of one-run ball during his latest start with Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday evening. He allowed four hits, one walk, and struck out seven. Matthews has enjoyed a dominant start to the Triple-A regular season and is nearing a return to the major leagues. Over his first three starts, the right-hander has posted a stellar 1.80 ERA with a 0.73 WHIP. Across 15 innings, the Western Carolina product has struck out 20 batters and served up just two free passes. Matthews received a brief taste of the majors last summer but appears to have taken the next step in his development this season. Fantasy managers in standard formats should view Matthews as a strong stash candidate, as he could join Minnesota fairly soon with Pablo Lopez (hamstring) on the 15-day injured list.Source: MiLB.com
Matt Boldy Tallies Two Points In Victory
2 days agoMinnesota Wild right wing Matt Boldy tallied two points to lead Minnesota to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday evening. Boldy would tally the primary assist on Joel Eriksson Ek's game-tying goal with just 20 seconds left in the third frame to force overtime. Then, in overtime, Boldy would score the game-winner to push Minnesota over the top. This victory clinched their spot as the top wild card in the Western Conference and will set them up for a first-round matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights. In 82 games this season, Boldy scored 27 goals and added 46 assists. The 24-year-old logged a career-high 271 shots on goal with 52 hits and 69 blocked shots.Source: NHL.com
Pavel Buchnevich Scores Goal, Adds Two Helpers
2 days agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Pavel Buchnevich tallied three points during their 6-1 victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday evening. Buchnevich did all of his damage in the opening frame. He first tallied the secondary assist on Brayden Schenn's goal. Later, he would find the back of the net on a snapshot, which would eventually serve as the game-winner. He would then add his second helper, this time a secondary assist on Jimmy Snuggerud's power-play goal. This was Buchnevich's second three-point outing over his last three contests. Over his last eight contests, Buchnevich has found the back of the net six times and added four helpers. He will look to carry this momentum into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.Source: NHL.com
Brayden Point Busy In Tuesday's Victory
2 days agoTampa Bay Lightning center Brayden Point tallied three points during their 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday evening. In the opening frame, Point would score his 42nd goal of the campaign and tally the primary assist on Connor Geekie's eighth goal of the season. Later in the second period, Point would add the secondary assist on Nikita Kucherov's 37th goal of the regular season. This three-point outing snapped his three-game scoreless streak. Before his minor slump, Point scored nine goals and added four helpers over his last nine contests. Through 76 games this season, the 29-year-old has found the back of the net 42 times and added 40 helpers. This was Point's third-straight campaign scoring at least 40 goals. He will look to stay hot in game No. 82 on Thursday against the Rangers.Source: NHL.com

2 days agoAthletics catcher Shea Langeliers had a big game for his team in a 12-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs, and two RBI in the winning effort over Chicago. The veteran catcher launched a solo homer, his fourth of the season, off Chicago starter Sean Burke in the third inning. It was a monster blast that traveled 409 feet with an exit velocity of 107.9 MPH. Langeliers is now hitting .250 with 10 runs and 10 RBI across 56 at-bats this season. After combining to hit 51 homers over his past two seasons, Langeliers is staking his claim as one of the premier power threats at the catcher position in all of fantasy.Source: MLB.com
Andrew Vaughn Hits Three-Run Home Run On Tuesday
2 days agoChicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn was the lone bright spot for his team in a 12-3 loss to the Athletics on Tuesday. Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer to drive in the only runs of the game for his team in the loss. The veteran first baseman has been off to a slow start in 2025, hitting just .123 with two homers, three runs, and eight RBI across 57 at-bats. Vaughn should bounce back as he combined to hit 40 homers and drive in 150 runs over his past two seasons, although a poor White Sox team around him may hinder him.Source: MLB.com
Jet Greaves Picks Up Fourth Straight Victory
2 days agoColumbus Blue Jackets rookie goaltender Jet Greaves stopped all 29 shots he saw en route to defeating the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday evening. This was a "must-win" game for the Blue Jackets to keep them alive in the playoff race. Greaves was able to lead the way as Columbus was able to win their fifth-straight contest. During Greaves' impressive four-game winning streak, he has posted two shutouts and allowed just three total goals. He has held an incredible .976 save percentage with a near-perfect 0.76 GAA. Before this impressive late-season finish, Greaves held a modest 3.02 GAA with a .894 save percentage over his last five NHL starts. Fantasy managers should expect Greaves to get the nod in their regular-season finale on Thursday against the New York Islanders.Source: NHL.com
Pete Alonso Goes Deep On Tuesday

The veteran infielder kicked off the scoring in the game with a solo homer in the first, a shot that traveled 416 feet with an exit velocity of 106.9 MPH. Alonso is off to a great start this season, hitting .356 with five homers, 11 runs, and 20 RBI through 59 at-bats. While the batting average won't last as he's never hit over .271 in his career, Alonso remains an elite source for homers and RBI in all fantasy leagues.Source: MLB.com

This was Stolarz's fourth shutout of the season. This outing also extended Stolarz's winning streak to an impressive eight games. During this stretch, Stolarz has posted a stellar .950 save percentage with a 1.37 GAA. Even though the 31-year-old netminder has missed time, he has been very productive when on the ice. Fantasy managers should expect Joseph Woll to get the nod during their regular-season finale on Thursday against Detroit.Source: NHL.com
