3 months agoThe Green Bay Packers are not ready to rule out the possibility of running back MarShawn Lloyd (appendix) returning to action this season. When discussing Lloyd with the media on Thursday, head coach Matt LaFleur said, "I never want to shut the door on that. ... He's just going to focus on continuing to get better and when he can go, he'll go." The 23-year-old has endured a frustrating start to his NFL career, appearing in just one game so far. The rookie played back in Week 2, rushing six times for 15 yards on the ground while adding a three-yard reception. Lloyd remains a key part of the Packers' future plans, but the chances of him getting back on the field before fantasy playoffs conclude are slim. He should be dropped in all redraft formats and stashed in dynasty leagues.Source: Wes Hodkiewicz
3 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday. The 24-year-old remains on injured reserve, but it looks like he's gradually getting closer to returning given that he was able to practice in a limited capacity. He has been sidelined since Week 4, leaving Green Bay's tight end room in the more-than-capable hands of Tucker Kraft, who is the overall TE8 in fantasy football this year. Even when he's cleared to return to play, Musgrave will be off the fantasy radar in all leagues.Source: Wes Hodkiewicz
4 months agoThere aren't any apparent concerns for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (thigh), who was seen limping slightly late in the Week 15 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night. Head coach Matt LaFleur said Love took a shot to his thigh but doesn't expect him to be limited in practice preparation for the team's Week 16 contest on Monday night against the New Orleans Saints. The 26-year-old didn't miss a single snap against Seattle and finished 20-for-27 for 229 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the win. Love is averaging 218 yards per game with seven touchdowns and no interceptions in his last four games and should be considered at least a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers in the semifinals in most leagues in a favorable primetime matchup against New Orleans this week.Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was a utilization monster as he touched the ball 30 times and was an integral part of the team's 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Setting the tone early in game was Jacobs, as he touched the ball in 9-of-10 plays on the game's opening drive that ended on a Jacobs rushing touchdown from one yard out. Jacobs ended the night with 26 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown, as well as catching 4-of-4 targets for 42 yards through the air. It was a continuation of a massive run for Jacobs as he's scored nine touchdowns in his past five games. With the Packers going back home to Lambeau Field to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 16, Jacobs is a locked-in RB1 and a must-start option for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson helped co-lead the Packers in targets and was a solid contributor in the Packers' 30-13 win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Watson co-led the Packers in targets with Jayden Reed and was their downfield thread on the boundary, leading the team with 56 yards receiving. Watson's long catch of 36 yards helped the Packers set up a second-quarter field goal. His 56-yard effort comes off the heels of a 114-yard game in Week 14, so it does feel like a disappointment, but Romeo Doubs returning from concussion protocol may have spread the targets out just a bit. With Watson and the Packers heading back home to take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 16, Watson should be considered a volatile flex option for fantasy purposes.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs made his return from concussion protocol and made a huge statement for the Packers in their 30-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Doubs, who hadn't played since Week 12, cleared concussion protocol without an injury designation after three consecutive full practices to score twice and catch three passes for 40 yards on five targets on the evening. Doubs' second touchdown in the fourth quarter was an excellently thrown ball by Jordan Love where Doubs had to reach low to where only he could make a play on it, cementing the Packers' victory to put them up by three scores. With Doubs back in the fold for the Packers, Green Bay will host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16. For fantasy managers, Doubs is a solid flex option in a good matchup.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was used all over the field and was a solid contributor in the Packers' 30-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Reed's Week 14 was one to forget with just one target and zero catches, but he co-led the Packers in targets with Christian Watson this week. Notching five catches for 34 yards on six targets, it wasn't an overly impressive stat line for Reed but combined with his three rushing attempts for 27 yards, he still put up double-digit fantasy points. Reed had as many carries tonight (3) as he has in the last five games combined, so the Packers' renewed focus on involving him in the team's offensive gameplan was evident. Next week, the Packers head home to face the New Orleans Saints where Reed should be considered a low-end WR3 that has a high floor but a low ceiling for fantasy managers.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft had a pedestrian night at the office in the Packers' 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Kraft did not see a lot of volume, as he only had two passes come his way. He caught both for 34 yards as he was lost in the shuffle with Romeo Doubs (concussion) returning as another pass-catching weapon for quarterback Jordan Love. Kraft's fantasy value has been solid for much of the season so to leave this dud in the fantasy playoffs is a bit disappointing. The Packers head back home to Lambeau Field and will take on the New Orleans Saints in Week 16, where fantasy managers hope he is able to put forth more production. Consider Kraft a low-end fantasy TE1 for that matchup.Source: ESPN
4 months agoThe Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit was all over the Seattle Seahawks in their 30-13 win in Week 15. The Packers' defense was a force to be reckoned with as they sacked the quarterback combination of Geno Smith and later, Sam Howell a combined seven times and also forced two interceptions. The seven sacks registered by the defense is the second-best output of this season, so if fantasy managers trust this unit against the Seahawks, they are certainly happy with the results. In Week 16, the Packers will head back home to take on the reeling New Orleans Saints, where the Packers D/ST should be universally started given the state of the Saints' offense.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was efficient and engineered the Packers' offense in their 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Love was an economical 20-of-27 passing for 229 yards and two touchdowns through the air, plus a four-yard run on the ground. Both of Love's touchdowns went to Romeo Doubs in his first game action since Week 12 after clearing concussion protocol. Love's touchdown with 4:59 was perfectly placed and it was the game-sealing touchdown, which put them up three possessions. With the Packers heading home to host the New Orleans Saints in Week 16, Love is on the edge of being a fantasy starter based on recent play. However, with the strength of the Packers' offense and a good matchup on deck, Love should be started in most fantasy leagues.Source: ESPN
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus knocked down all five of his kicks during last week's loss to the Detroit Lions The veteran kicker has been reliable lately by making all of his kicks over the last four games. It appears the Packers have solved their problem at the kicker spot with the 33-year-old succeeding on every chance he gets. Fantasy managers might want to be cautious about starting McManus in Week 15. They play a Seattle Seahawks defense that done a nice job at keeping kickers in check. Fantasy managers might want to look for a kicker with a better matchup for Week 15.Source: ESPN
4 months agoThe Green Bay Packers defense and special teams unit suffered a setback last week against the Detroit Lions but look to bounce back on the road against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. The Packers D/ST prior to last week had been a top 10 fantasy defense for three weeks in a row, but ran into the Lions' potent offense in Week 14 as the Packers could only muster a sack and an interception of Jared Goff. In that three-week stretch of top 10 performances, the Packers averaged just over 15 points allowed, 8.7 fantasy points per game, three sacks and a fumble recovery. Against the Seahawks, the Packers can get back to their playmaking ways against a team that will pass quite a bit. They're still a startable unit this week in the hope they can sack Geno Smith and force some turnovers.Source: RotoBaller
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson has been hot and cold this season with his fantasy production but looks to keep his good fortunes rolling as the Packers head west to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. Watson is coming off a 114-yard performance against the Detroit Lions last week and has two 100-games in his last four games. These games haven't come with too much target volume as he caught four balls in each 100-yard game. As a wide receiver who is dependent on the big play, Watson's fantasy skill set is volatile, but with Romeo Doubs (concussion) active and out of concussion protocol, Watson's routes may come down slightly as he is usually the receiver that rotates in give Dontayvion Wicks some work. That said, with Watson able to do damage on few targets, he's a boom-or-bust flex option this week against the Seahawks in Week 15.Source: RotoBaller
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft has been a solid fantasy tight end for much of the season and looks to keep that run going as the Packers face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. Kraft has put together three straight double-digit fantasy performances, including last week against the Lions where he scored a touchdown on three catches for 41 yards. With seven touchdown grabs this season, Kraft is tied with Mark Andrews for second in touchdowns among tight ends, only behind George Kittle. With Kraft getting in the end zone and earning some consistent volume for the Packers, Kraft is plenty startable in Week 15 for fantasy managers.Source: RotoBaller
4 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed disappointed fantasy managers last week but looks to right the ship this week as the Packers head to Seattle to face the Seahawks in Week 15. Last week against the Lions, Reed earned just one target and has zero catches for the first time this season. Prior to that, Reed had been a boom-or-bust fantasy option with a 19.7-fantasy point effort in Week 13 with two touchdowns on just 24 yards and three receptions. Seattle has held slot receivers to the sixth-lowest fantasy points per target since Week 11, so while Reed should be started for his massive upside, the floor is very low as well. Reed is a low-end WR3 or a high-end flex play this week for fantasy managers.Source: RotoBaller
