Packers Trade Up To Grab Jordan Love
5 years agoThe Green Bay Packers traded up with the Miami Dolphins and selected Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with the No. 26 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday. Very interesting. Many pegged the Packers to possibly trade up to take a receiver late in the first round after Davante Adams was quarterback Aaron Rodgers' only real passing weapon in 2019. Love broke records at Utah State, but he'll sit behind Rodgers and learn for at least a few years. He has similar upside to that of Patrick Mahomes, as he can make plays outside the pocket and has a rocket arm. Those that were skeptical of Love thought he made too many careless mistakes, but he'll have time to develop behind Rodgers before he's thrown into the fire. Love will obviously be strictly a dynasty/keeper option for fantasy drafters. Expect Green Bay to hone in on a wideout later on in this stacked class.
