Packers Sign First-Round Pick Devonte Wyatt
3 years agoThe Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms with one of their first-round picks, former Georgia defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt. Wyatt gets a four-year deal, fully guaranteed, worth $12.86 million with a $6.533 million signing bonus. Signing the No. 28 overall pick was one of Green Bay's top priorities following the draft. This follows the team signing its other first-round pick, linebacker Quay Walker of Georgia, the No. 22 overall pick. After speculation that the Packers would finally spend a first-round pick on a wide receiver, they held true to their board and secured key pieces for their defense early. Now they've locked them in.
