7 years agoOn Monday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network speculated that Green Bay will be one of the teams that will show interest in free-agent wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Rapoport also mentioned Chicago, Jacksonville or a return to the Los Angeles Rams as possible destinations for Watkins. Buffalo made a big trade to move up and select Watkins in the 2014 draft. They traded him to Los Angeles in 2017. Watkins has looked brilliant at times but has consistently been plagued by foot injuries that have seemingly prevented him from living up to the draft hype. Still, Green Bay is badly in need of a deep threat of Watkins’ caliber and signing him would give quarterback Aaron Rodgers the most physically talented wide receiver of his career. A Watkins signing in Green Bay would dramatically raise Watkins' stock and would greatly improve Green Bay’s offense for 2018.--Tyger McGuiggan
