Packers Defense Disappointing During Week 5 Loss
2 years agoThe Green Bay Packers defense surrendered 27 points, recorded just one sack, and forced a safety during the team's 27-22 loss to the New York Giants Sunday. The safety was a gift by the Giants at the end of the game as they attempted to bleed the clock out, stepping out of the end zone purposefully. Green Bay failed to generate much pressure, even though New York was without their top four wide receivers. It was an extremely disappointing performance, as the Packers' were a top-tier streaming defense this week. They will have a chance to bounce back next week during their home matchup against the New York Jets. However, they have just one interception to their credit through the first five weeks, so they should be considered a low-end streaming option with little upside to finish inside the top five.
