Packers Changing The Narrative Around Aaron Rodgers?
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has "simply had enough of Aaron Rodgers' act and wanted to change the narrative" after a puzzling draft last weekend that saw the team select zero wide receivers in one of the most stacked classes of all time, in the opinion of The Athletic's Bob McGinn. Green Bay also traded up in the first round to take quarterback Jordan Love, a signal that the team is looking to a future without Rodgers in the picture. After all, Rodgers is 36 years old and is coming off two straight mediocre seasons by his standards. The future Hall of Famer will certainly be determined in 2020, but can he improve if nobody steps up behind receiver Davante Adams. Rodgers' stock as a high-end QB1 has taken a hit the last few seasons.
