Packers, Aaron Rodgers Haven't Made Progress In Extension Talks
6 years agoThe Green Bay Packers and quarterback Aaron Rodgers haven't made meaningful progress on a contract extension, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Rodgers could still get a new contract before the season, but nothing appears imminent. He's currently averaging $22 million per year and has outplayed his contract, but he hasn't publicly asked for a new deal. Rodgers will be paid $39.8 million over the next two years under his current contract. Despite playing in only seven games last year due to injury, Rodgers remains one of the best overall quarterbacks in the NFL heading into his age-34 season. Continue to draft him as an elite QB1.
