5 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval (elbow) will land on the 10-day injured list after receiving a cortisone shot for pain in his right elbow. Sandoval said he has felt pain in the elbow since 2013 and a recent MRI showed bone chips, which would have to be removed via surgery. He is hopeful to delay the surgery until the offseason and return to the field before this season is over. Sandoval was having his best season since 2014 with 14 home runs and a .269 average, so it is disappointing to see him miss more time.--Manley Michael
