Pablo Lopez (hamstring) has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will make the start on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels in Minnesota. Lopez is recovered from a right-hamstring strain that kept him out for the last two weeks. The 29-year-old should immediately be returned to starting fantasy lineups against an Angels team that has come back down to Earth after a surprisingly hot start to the season. In his lone minor-league rehab start for Triple-A St. Paul, Lopez made it through 63 pitches and 4 2/3 innings. It means that he might not go quite as deep on Friday night as fantasy managers might hope, but the matchup is still too good to ignore. Before his hamstring injury, the Venezuelan hurler looked good with a 1.62 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 14 strikeouts and only two walks in 16 2/3 innings over three starts.

Chris Paddack will start that day against the division-rival Chicago White Sox. That makes it extremely likely that Lopez will come off the IL to rejoin the team's starting rotation during this weekend's series against the Los Angeles Angels, according to The Athletic's Aaron Gleeman. The 29-year-old needed just one minor-league rehab start for Triple-A St. Paul last Saturday and allowed an earned run on three hits while walking none and striking out four in 4 2/3 innings pitched. Fantasy managers should be itching to get the Venezuelan hurler back in their starting lineups this weekend against an Angels team coming back down to Earth after a strong start. Lopez had a 1.62 ERA with 14 K's in 16 2/3 frames in his first three starts this year.

Pablo Lopez (hamstring) is nearing a return to the major league rotation. He made a successful rehab start on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits with four strikeouts over 4 ⅔ innings and 63 pitches. He threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and is happy with where everything is at. There is no official word yet on which day he will make his first start back, but he is eligible to be activated from the injured list on Thursday. He'll look to pick up where he left off before the injury, as he posted a 1.62 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in his first three starts of the year.

Pablo Lopez (hamstring), who threw a 31-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday, is scheduled to make a minor-league rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A St. Paul. Lopez is on the 15-day injured list currently with a right-hamstring injury but is quickly progressing and might be cleared to rejoin Minnesota's starting rotation if he can get through Saturday's rehab start without any issues. It's possible fantasy managers will be able to use Lopez for a great matchup next week against the division-rival Chicago White Sox. The 29-year-old Venezuelan hurler was off to a good start before his hamstring injury, allowing six runs (three earned) on 15 hits while walking two and striking out 14 in 16 2/3 innings over his three starts. Lopez should be stashed in all fantasy leagues.
