Pablo Lopez Strikes Out 11 Friday
3 years agoMiami Marlins right-hander Pablo Lopez turned in an excellent start in a 2-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday. Lopez allowed one run over seven innings of work while striking out 11. The 26-year-old hurler racked up an impressive 20 swinging strikes on 99 pitches, with his only mistake a solo homer to Kolten Wong in the first inning. He wound up escaping with a no-decision despite Miami's loss, leaving his record at 4-1, to go along with a 1.05 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and 46 strikeouts over 43 innings of work. Lopez is scheduled to face off against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.
