Pablo Lopez Rebounds With A Great Start On Monday
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez broke his slump with an excellent start on Monday against the Phillies. Lopez went seven innings, earning a win while allowing one run on three hits. He struck out six without allowing a walk, evening his record at 4-4 and lowering his ERA to 4.02. Lopez had two straight awful starts but with a new catcher (Chad Wallach) behind the plate in this one, he looked like the Lopez from earlier this season. We can probably expect to see Wallach behind the plate at least for Lopez's next start. Lopez is worth picking up off the waiver wire if impatient managers dropped him last week.
