Pablo Lopez Picks Up His First Win Of The Season
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez finally earned his first win of the season on Sunday against the Dodgers. He wasn't at his best, but he kept his team in the game and gave the offense a chance to score (just) enough runs to win. Lopez pitched five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three. His best pitch all season has been his changeup, and it just wasn't working in this game, leaving him to rely on his fastball. The win improved his record to 1-3 and moved his ERA to 3.12. Coming off an awful start his last time out, this was a step in the right direction despite not being Lopez at his best.
