Pablo Lopez Improves To 2-0 In Superb Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez was outstanding on Thursday night, tossing seven shutout frames to help his club defeat the Cardinals 5-0. The right-hander surrendered just three hits (all singles) and no walks while striking out nine in the 100-pitch outing as he was able to retire the last 11 batters he faced. Lopez improved to 2-0 on the campaign and sits with one earned run through his first 17 1/3 innings pitched (0.52 ERA) and a 17/3 K/BB. He'll have a shot to continue his early season dominance next week in a road contest versus the Nationals.
