P.J. Walker To Start If Deshaun Watson Can't Return In Week 6
1 year agoCleveland Browns quarterback P.J. Walker will start against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6 if Deshaun Watson (shoulder) can't play. Rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson started in Week 4 but threw for just 121 yards and three interceptions. Walker signed with the Browns' practice squad in late August after being released by the Chicago Bears. Against the fierce 49ers defense, Walker would not enter the fantasy radar in single-quarterback leagues. However, fantasy managers in superflex or two-QB formats might want to consider picking him up if they need a starter this week. The 28-year-old has thrown five touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 15 games played in his career. If he draws the start, Jerome Ford, Amari Cooper, and all other Browns' pass-catchers will have extra risk attached to their Week 6 outlook.
