Ozzie Albies Unlikely To Return This Weekend
1 year agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (hamstring) is in San Francisco with the team and is progressing, but manager Brian Snitker said Albies returning this weekend against the Giants is unlikely to happen. The 26-year-old was eligible to return from the injured list on Friday after being sidelined with a left-hamstring strain, but the Braves are going to hold off on activating him until next week. Until Albies returns, Nicky Lopez and Vaughn Grissom will continue to split playing time at the keystone. Albies is a must-start fantasy asset for the first-place Braves when he's active. He'll be returning to a .267/.327/.514 slash line with an .841 OPS, 28 home runs, 21 doubles, four triples, 90 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 75 runs scored in 117 games. Fantasy managers shouldn't be without the three-time All-Star for much longer.
