Ozzie Albies Goes Deep And Swipes A Bag On Saturday
1 year agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies went 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, a stolen base, and a strikeout in an 8-6 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. Albies pulled the Braves to within three runs in the top of the third inning when he took starter Javier Assad deep for his 25th long ball of the season. He reached base again with a walk and swiped his eighth bag of the season well. Coming off an injury-plagued 2022 campaign, Albies has bounced back with a force this season. The 26-year-old is slashing .257/.317/.505 with 25 home runs, 77 RBI, and eight stolen bases over 416 at-bats on the year. He's just five home runs away from matching his career-high of 30, which was set back in 2021.
