Ozzie Albies Exits Game After Hit By Pitch
4 years agoAtlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies (calf) left the game in the ninth inning after being hit by a pitch, according to The Athletic's David O'Brien. Albies was hit in the calf with a pitch in the top of the ninth, and after he slowly walked to first base, he exited the game with a trainer. It was the third time in the last two days that Albies has been hit in the lower leg, having been hit by a pitch on Thursday and then fouling a pitch off his foot earlier in the game on Friday. Manager Brian Snitker said that the team will know more about Albies' condition overnight, as they look to see if any swelling occurs. It seems like the team is being cautious with their star second baseman, and for now managers should consider Albies day-to-day.
