Owen White Picks Up First Triple-A Win
1 year agoTexas Rangers pitching prospect Owen White picked up his first win with Triple-A Round Rock, throwing five shutout innings, allowing just three hits with three strikeouts. The 23-year-old was called up to the majors a month ago for a short two-inning stint, allowing four hits, three runs, and striking out two batters. The Rangers optioned him to Triple-A, and he sports a 5.25 ERA and a measly 2% strikeout-to-walk-percentage ratio through three starts with Round Rock since. Despite his struggles, he can force another recall with more solid starts at Triple-A, making him a possible stash in very deep redraft leagues.
