Owen Power Makes History With Another Goal
2 years agoBuffalo Sabres defenseman Owen Power opened the scoring in Thursday's 3-2 victory over Winnipeg, becoming the first rookie blue-liner in franchise history to score in three consecutive games. The 20-year-old was goalless for the whole campaign before things suddenly started to click for him in front of the net this week. Buffalo's overall record for the longest goal streak among defensemen is held by Rasmus Dahlin, who posted it at the start of this season with a five-game run. Power will also be riding a four-game point streak into the next matchup. He has tallied 19 points in total for the year in 45 games, adding 55 blocks with a plus-13 rating.
