5 months agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Owen Caissie went 2-for-5 with a double and a single on Friday evening. This marked the third consecutive game where Caissie tallied at least two hits. Before this stretch, the 21-year-old held a mere .083 AVG in his previous six games. Overall, the top bat in the Cubs system has performed exceptionally well through his first look at Triple-A ball this season. In 71 games, he has posted a .277/.390/.450 line with eight long balls, 45 RBI, five stolen bases, and a 48:85 BB:K ratio. MLB.com projects Caissie to make his major league debut in 2025, but he could push for a late-season promotion this season due to how well he has performed.
