5 months agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Owen Caissie was 1-for-5 with a home run on Wednesday night for Triple-A Iowa. Caissie went deep for the fourth time in June and racked up his 11th RBI in nine games so far this month. The No. 2 overall prospect for the Cubs is hitting .278 with seven homers and 35 RBI this season for Iowa. In a full season at Double-A last year, Caissie hit 22 homers with 84 RBI and a .289 batting average. The 21-year-old Canadian is making a case for his promotion with his hot start to June. A late-season call-up would put him on the waiver-wire radar, but a 2025 debut could be the most likely scenario.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller
